We love places where the staff are in character for the game. The lobby is inviting, the staff and owner are friendly, and the game was a lot of fun. We enjoyed this place overall more than the “award winning” place in Anchorage. If you’re staying downtown, do yourself a favor and skip the public rooms that are downtown and take an Uber to ESCAPE! Alaska.

We had a blast with this game. As with the other Escape Venture games, the puzzles are fun and the flow works so well. Our game master Shadd was amazing! The game master is a big part of the game and he hit it out of the park. Loved the set design as well. This was Tina’s 500th game and they went out of their way to make it special for her. What a great experience.

We really enjoyed all four games we played here. This one may be our favorite by a small margin over Rooftop and Pizzeria. Okay, maybe tied with Pizzeria. The set designs for all the rooms are very good. They do a lot with the small spaces they have. The puzzles (for the most part) are fun. The staff is amazing. Shout out to Camden and Natalie. On the flip side, we really wish they took team photos in the rooms. If you have a good set, show it off is what I say.

This place is located right in the heart of a tourist area. Despite the bad ratings, we decided to give it a try. This was one of the worst rooms we’ve ever played. The puzzles, set design, flow, game hosting…everything is bad. What a waste of money. Places like this make me angry and sad because I know that if this is someone’s first experience with escape rooms, they may never go to another one again.

This *one-room game was very fun. The puzzles are ones we’ve seen before but they were presented in creative ways. We enjoyed the theme of the game and the owners are a delight. They ensure guests have a wonderful time from the moment they walk in. We love owners who go beyond the room and make their lobbies fun and appealing. Even the restroom has a fun decorated theme.

A very fun game. This one is perfect for newer players, may be on the easy side for enthusiasts. The set design was great and the puzzles were fun.

This is a cute game in a smaller space. It is perfect for families. Older adults may want to choose another game as the lighting is dim and no flashlights are provided. Also, there is crawling. If neither of that bothers you, you’ll enjoy this game.

This small, one room game is 30 minutes. The theming and set design are very good. Many of the puzzles are also pretty good, but the flow is not great. This game can definitely use better signposting. You also need to do a lot of touching and prodding of all props and decor to find hidden things. Nothing leads you to these and it’s counterintuitive for those who have played multiple escape rooms.

This game was a bit of a mixed bag. Most of the puzzles were enjoyable, but a few were not. With a few tweaks to a couple of the puzzles and tasks, this game could be excellent. There was also one spot we kept tripping on and that needs to be changed. Those things aside, the set design was pretty good, the staff is great, and the overall game is decent.

This game is carnival themed, so we knew there would be at least a couple of carnival games to play (I love those). Most of the puzzles made sense and were fun to do. We also liked the ambiance with the music and lighting. It is very creepy (not scary), so if you like that kind of thing (like we do), then you should enjoy this game.

Oh my goodness, this is a really fun game that has an adorable twist. There was some neat tech and a wonderful hint system character (we love in-room characters). The puzzles were fun and creative and they all made sense. Highly recommended.

This game is creepy (we like that), but not scary (we also like that). The set design was on point and the puzzles were varied and enjoyable.

This was an enjoyable game. It did have more searching than we usually like, but the set design was very good and the puzzles were too. It’s a solid game with a unique scoring system.

We had a good time with this one. We liked the puzzles and the set design. Nearly everything in the game is used as part of a puzzle, so you weren’t distracted by props that were simply décor. There is a fair amount of crouching which we find to be a nuisance, but the game and ambiance were very good.

While the minimalistic design of this room made the game feel a bit empty, we really like the storyline and how it led into the puzzles. It was very creative. I do think this game would benefit from more creepiness, maybe some creepy audio of the kid talking to the players (babysitters), more in the way of set design, lighting, etc.

This is the second completely dark game we have played...and while we loved the other one, this one we loved a little more. This game has a split start and uses ALL your senses except sight. Of course, not everyone will need to use all of their senses unless they want to. This game is NOT scary. It is safe and a lot of fun. The puzzles are very creative and multi-tiered. Don't skip this room, it's a unique and enjoyable experience.

We had a good time in this room. For two enthusiasts, the puzzles were on the easy side. We had over 15 minutes left, but that's not to say it wasn't fun. It was. EVERYTHING is used in this game. Nothing is just decoration. While that is a neat idea (nobody likes red herrings), it also makes the rooms feel a bit bare since the decor is at a minimum. But that would not keep me from recommending this game, especially for newer players. It has some very fun puzzles and a cute ending. Our game master was terrific, as well.

This game was a mixed bag for us. On the positive side, there were some fun puzzles that we appreciated. And that's what we are ultimately there for. However, I would like to see a little more signposting. While the flow isn't ideal for two players, it should be fine for larger groups. The set design was just okay (though, after 400 rooms, our bar is set a little high I think). This is a Harry Potter themed game with a few odd changes to some of the references. In the end, the price is great and this venue seems like the perfect place for new players to experience escape rooms.

We played this game after Ripper and it is a very different experience. Nevermore is more of a traditional escape room game…and it is terrific! The set design is amazing, but it’s the puzzles, the game flow, and the ambiance that truly make this an outstanding game. While Nocturne is based in the basement of a house, don’t let that sway you from playing there. Both games are must dos for anyone who enjoys escape rooms.
