Wizard's Treasure60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLSuch a lovely room and with delightful atmosphere! Definitely an easy room for most but the flow made sense, the puzzles fun and it meant we got to experience a non-linear room together without missing puzzles and take our time to enjoy the details. A lot of love went into the room and I look forward to what new rooms will be coming to the location!

Absolutely loved everything from the unique theming, variety of puzzles, our GM Taylor and the overall flow of the room! It was just a lot of run and everything made sense along the way. Definitely want to do more games here in the future.
Puppet Heist: The Hand Of LifeThe Bureau Adventure GamesEscape roomIRLImmersive from the moment you walk in to the building (though not sure how that would work if people arrived too late or early). The room itself was very cute, funny and greatly interactive. It was a different room for sure, very technical and though that was fun at times it could also be a bit confusing with what to do. One of the first puzzles was one I wouldn’t have done without asking. Overall it was enjoyable but I prefer a more mechanical game.

The story and flow were fantastic making the room immersive and highly enjoyable to puzzle through. 4 players would give the optimum experience.
Time Machine60Out - KoreatownEscape roomIRLLovely set design and attractive room. Some puzzles had a bit of a delay, all very physical. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.
AlcatrazEscape Reality - EdinburghEscape roomIRLSplit start and their most difficult room. We played as a 2 with experience together and escaped with time to spare. More logic type puzzles over physical in this room with some fun moments being split apart. For newer teams I’d recommend 4 people so no one is left alone to solve puzzles for a bit.
The AsylumEscape Reality - EdinburghEscape roomIRLA really atmospheric and engaging room! Slightly creepy but not overly scary for those a bit more nervous with horror themed rooms. We enjoyed the variety of puzzles and the clear puzzle path towards escaping without everything being too obvious. The other half of my team hates the idea of horror movies and loved this one!

Operation SpellboundCan You Escape?Escape roomIRLWe’d previously escaped Operation Odyssey and loved it. Spellbound was also a fun game but the easier of the two in my opinion. It was definitely suited for smaller groups. The puzzles flowed and the hint system was fun and immersive. Like a lot of rooms in Scotland, story isn’t the main focus and doesn’t drive the room but puzzles were nice and (mostly) made sense with a good variety. There was nothing to distract so it was easy to find what you needed to use in the room making this great for beginners. Our GM, John, was welcoming and friendly and checked if we needed a clue before giving it.
Bitter SweetLocked In GlasgowEscape roomIRLColourful and enjoyable game. Split start made things fun for 2 experienced players and we enjoyed a mix of physical and mental puzzles. It was suited for our group as we both have different strengths so we felt both of us had moments to succeed. Not the most complex of Locked In Glasgow’s games but enjoyable nonetheless.

Magic KingdomMaze Rooms - VermontEscape roomIRLThe room was very pretty and the magical vibes were definitely there! Overall I went with a group of fairly new players who I’d never played with before so it was a great option for a first game with it being on a more straight forward level of what to do and repeated the same formula a number of times with different puzzles. What brought my rating down sadly was the tech and moving on in the game. I feel like some maintenance may have been needed or more clarity when puzzles unlocked. There were items we checked to be locked and without warning or notice, they were suddenly able to open. This left me confused a lot of the game. There was also a moment we were trying to solve what we thought was a puzzle and what looked like a puzzle but apparently wasn’t - I got the impression this was broken tech that needed fixed rather than a legit reason. Overall, I did enjoy playing but just wish some elements worked better with some maintenance.
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - OrlandoEscape roomIRLFor fans of Scooby Doo this is a great room! It’s nostalgic and just a lot of fun! Puzzles aren’t too difficult for enthusiasts but nonetheless fun with a lot of more physical aspects to the game rather than complex puzzles which makes it great for gamers of all experiences and younger escapees too! Escapology do well with keeping a standard and you know what to expect from them. Set design wasn’t overly elaborate but I think what they did with Scooby Doo worked and kept a colourful and mysterious feel right out of the cartoon.
Mission Unstoppable: Chopper DownLockbustersEscape roomIRLThough this room is visually exciting, we hit a few issues with tech and resetting by a GM. The staff couldn’t have been more apologetic and did offer us a free game to return but unfortunately covid happened. This could be a greatly enjoyable room with some fun elements but our experience left us a bit confused due to the mix up. If it hadn’t been for our resetting issues I’m sure we’d have enjoyed it a lot more so would suggest to try it out 👍🏻

GMs are chatty and friendly and we ended up doing this room after playing the Contractor room after asking how dark it was. The room wasn’t overly dark (we felt the Caretaker was too dark sometimes) and had some puzzles that I saw for the first time in this room and enjoyed. Overall, another enjoyable room by this location 👍🏻
Under PressureEscapology - OrlandoEscape roomIRLPlayed as a team of 4 and there was always something for us to do. More mental over physical puzzles and some search and find so there was something to all our strengths. Room is well themed and one of their more difficult rooms at Escapology.
