They continue to be the premiere escape room venue in Maine and this room does wonders and diverts expectations quite a few times. The theme was a lot of fun for everyone and there is plenty to do. Would recommend for anyone.

Some easy yet thought provoking puzzles throughout. Do not bring more than 4 people to this room (3 was just perfect) to make sure you have space. Overall a solid room.
La Cathédrale Oubliée [The Forgotten Cathedral]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLBy far the best room I have ever done. We had such high expectations for this room and it surpassed them all by leaps and bounds. The actors within the room and the whole experience completely immersed us from start to finish. Highly highly highly recommend.
L'Île perdue de la Reine Vaudou [The Lost Island of the Voodoo Queen]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLThe set design for this experience was off the charts. Making it feel like you are really on a ship and then off to an island. These rooms just didn’t disappoint from start to finish.
Le Dernier Arrêt - V2 [The Final Stop - V2]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLThis room was a last minute addition but was one of the all time favorites. The performance by the staff was phenomenal and everything with the story fit and totally made you feel in the moment.
Le Jubilé d'Or [The Golden Jubilee]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLThis room had a lot of elements to like but the complete darkness made for a whole different experience. Was a ton of fun trying to rely on the other senses besides sight.
The HangoverEscape City BuffaloEscape roomIRLWe had been looking forward to this room for a while when we planned the trip to Buffalo. This room tried to do a lot with limited space to make you feel like you were in the hotel from The Hangover. They most nailed it and it’s a very adult room so go with friends that have a great sense of humor.
Over The FallsEscape City BuffaloEscape roomIRLI wasn’t sure what to expect with this escape room but the immersion they are able to achieve is pretty impressive. The puzzles were fun but not overly complex. Most of them fit the theme of the room and the design of everything within this location, including flowing water, was easily the best part.
Mysteries of the MenagerieHoodwinked! Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLJust completed this room today and it was a blast from start to finish. To start the owners who run it were great and funny. Then when the room started the decor puts you in the circus and everything you did in the room felt like an accomplishment. Also every puzzle made sense which is not something every escape room can say. Most just throw in puzzle for a puzzle sake but this was all methodically looked at and it showed for the level of the puzzles and flow of the room. A big step up for Hoodwinked! And a great room for everyone to play.
The Sunrise Killer Case - CLOSEDPortsmouth Escape RoomEscape roomIRLI wanted to like this room especially after the other rooms within this venue were pretty good. However it is very run of the mill with nothing to really grip you. If you've never done an escape room before this will probably be fine but if you've done even a few you may get put off by some of the same old stuff.
The Roswell Incident - CLOSEDPortsmouth Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis room was mostly what you would expect from any escape room. We joined a group who had not done many rooms and they were super impressed by everything going on which makes this for the somewhat experienced crowd. The Game Master was great and assisted perfectly when needed. Nothing overly stood out for the puzzles but that also means there wasn't a bad puzzle in the room, just straight forward and enjoyable.
The Last Will of Uncle Joe - CLOSEDBreak Free Escape Games [prev. Nightmare Escapes]Escape roomIRLA simple premise that a lot of escape room's use however this room managed to set itself apart with some of the puzzles. Unlike their other rooms where the Game Master did not pay attention, this room had a Game Master who was diligent about where we were in the room whenever we need assistance. Having the space to spread out and discuss every clue as a team made this room a lot of fun. I just wish the rest of the rooms were like this.
The Da Vinci Heist - CLOSEDBreak Free Escape Games [prev. Nightmare Escapes]Escape roomIRLThis room was better than I expected with it being a one room escape room. This room did have some flaws too because of its size and predictable path and puzzles. The worst thing about the room though was the Game Master who was not paying attention and gave clues for puzzles we had already solved. Most of this room was very enjoyable though as a whole.
Vintage Circus - CLOSEDGranite State EscapeEscape roomIRLThis circus inspired room had a lot going for it when it comes to the puzzles. The props were okay but at no time did you feel you were in a circus rather just a room with some circus props. That didn’t detract from the game though. The game master was very attentive and was on top of everything when we asked for a clue. I’d definitely start off with another basic room first before this one if you’ve never done escape rooms as some puzzles you have to have an escape room brain but the majority of them are just straight forward and logical.
The Lost Soul - CLOSEDLok’d Room EscapeEscape roomIRLThe room was not anything overly special but it had an okay story and the puzzles were a bit fun. We had done their previous room right before this which left a sour taste in our mouths but this room was fine. If you had never done an escape room this room is a great starter room. If you've done 20+ rooms you're not going to see anything in this room that you haven't already seen before. It's fine.
The Magician - CLOSEDLok’d Room EscapeEscape roomIRLDecent premise for the room but the execution left a lot to be desired. The Game Master did not seem like they understood everything in the room which made asking for a clue more difficult then it should be. They also had a puzzle that had to do with picking an actual lock. This was not something extra or something you could bypass but instead you're spending a lot of time picking a lock with a paperclip to move onto the next step. If you spend over 10 minutes, they'll slide you in a key. It was not worth the trip to get to this location and just ruined the rest of the room.
Dracula's Tomb - CLOSEDEscape Room SalemEscape roomIRLAnother very bad room from this company. The Game Master again did not care we were there, this time the other people joining us would horde clues and things they found (not the escape room's fault but didn't help the experience), and the puzzles were ... well they were fine. Some interesting concepts that did not really go anywhere. Ending puzzle of killing Dracula was the only decent thing about this room.
Patient Zero - CLOSEDBreak Free Escape Games [prev. Nightmare Escapes]Escape roomIRLThe worst room I've ever done and we were testers of this new room a long time ago. The puzzles were awful, and you are just opening up a bunch of drawers in a desk which have more locks inside to open. It was not fun, the Game Master was not paying attention, and when they came after we failed the room and tried to explain some of the puzzles they were not receptive at all to how it did not flow well or issues with the puzzle. Instantly defensive about everything instead of listening to feedback. Nearly 100 rooms in and this is by far the worst one by a large margin.
Jurassic World: EscapeUniversal Studios OrlandoEscape roomIRLGot booked into this room after the other room had technical issues. More of a guided tour with some puzzles but if you fail you’ll be shuffled into the next room. Some of the puzzles were fun while others made no sense and the game master wasn’t exact up to the task to make the room any more fun. Definitely not worth an extra trip for but if you’re in universal and looking for something to do, it’ll do the trick.
