Neighborhood Watcher
The Escape Ventures - Orlando
Escape room
IRL
This room truly encapsulated the transition from creepiness to horror. Even though we are a group that genuinely likes to experience rooms how they are, when prompted if the actors could touch us, we hesitated. However, this room was such an awesome, freaky time from start to finish. The puzzles and room itself are very thematically accurate and fun, and the feeling of impending doom created by the clock is outmatched by the fear that the actor musters in your party. Our actress did a truly phenomenal job, and we had such a wonderful time in this room. No real complaints from us; it would scare us to death if you didn’t try Escape Venture’s Neighborhood Watcher. Score: Jacob (9/10) Lainey (9/10) Harold (8.5/10) Ginger (9/10) Total Score: 9 out of 10

Operation Arctic Storm: The Final Meltdown
The Escape Ventures - Orlando
Escape room

This was the very first room that the EscapeJunkies have done at Escape Ventures, and it did not disappoint at all. The set design is one of the most thematically interesting rooms we’ve completed, and the puzzles are very linear. We never once felt stumped or lost from start to finish. The very beginning of the room starts off cramped, however it opened up to a much larger room midway through the experience. We escaped with 4 people with over 30 minutes remaining which, in a 90-minute experience, was a bit too easy for us. However, for guests who are newer to escape rooms, or just looking for a truly remarkable thematic experience, this room is a must-do in Orlando. Scoring: Jacob (8) Lainey (9.5) Ginger (9) Harold (6) Overall Score: 8 out of 10
Crazy Train: The Ballad of Skeemin' Plotz
Doldrick's Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
Ah, Crazy Train. That train definitely was crazy. Crazy awesome. We do escape rooms all over, and we see a lot of recycled assets; pirate rooms, spy rooms. This room is one of a kind. An incredibly clever concept that was executed very well is an accomplishment in and of itself. However, this place takes this crazy fun idea and wickedly cool set design and creates a truly memorable experience. From start to finish, this room will leave you laughing, smiling, and shaking your head from time to time (some puzzles are quite tricky). We at EscapeJunkies believe this room should be done by everyone who can for the set design, original story and voice acting alone. Take a ride on the crazy train, folks. You won't regret it. Scoring: Jacob (9/10) Lainey (9/10) Ginger (9/10) Harold (8/10) Team Total: 9 out of 10

Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!
Doldrick's Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
Captain Spoopy Bones did something that few pirate escape rooms can do: break the mold. Rooms with a repetitive theme like pirates or spies will always have some form of recycled assets and ideas. However, Spoopy Bones' combination of a split team start, a satirical approach to the whole room itself, and pretty impressive technical devices made this pirate room in particular stick out for us at the EscapeJunkies. While we would recommend this room to anyone in the area, remember that you need to be excellent communicators to escape (especially in the beginning when your group is split into two different cells). Set sail to Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure, Captain. It's quite the treasure. Score: Jacob (8/10) Lainey (8/10) Ginger (8/10) Harold (8/10) Total Score: 8 out of 10

This room was definitely different than what we at Escape Junkies are used to! The competitive nature and the complex puzzles create a challenging atmosphere that is sure to be fun for larger parties and friends looking to battle it out with wits!
Jack the Ripper
Lockbusters
Escape room
IRL
The EscapeJunkies want to start off by saying this room was disappointing, but we hate to say it. We have done every other room at Lockbuster’s and they all have something -masterfully- done. We have done many escape rooms, and what we believe is that “Jack the Ripper” is a room with great potential. Much like a rough draft for an English essay can become something great, this room has all of the makings of a genuinely interesting and fun room. The story is very interesting, and the set design for -some- of the room is very cool. But the room falls off in interest and care as the room carries on, culminating in a lackluster and hollow ending. This room in particular is -not- on par with the other stellar escape rooms that Lockbuster’s provides, and that’s what’s so frustrating. The reviews of this room alone may deter people from trying any of the other rooms, when they are all a whole caliber above this room. I just hope that the team at Lockbuster’s forms this room into something greater. Clay can be molded into a beautiful pot if you give it enough care, which hopefully the same can be said for “Jack the Ripper”. Scoring: Jacob (5/10) Ginger (5/10) Harold (4/10) Lainey (3.5/10) Total Score: 4 out of 10
