We played the new version with an expanded amount of puzzles, we were told the game is being made into a 60 min experience so the amount of puzzles were increased. It is a bit on the less difficult side so experienced groups of 2 or 3 might be the sweet spot, or slightly larger groups of new players. Set design was amazing, puzzles were fun, the game had a good flow and didn't require much help. Overall would highly recommend for the awesome theming and fun time. Just dont hope for brain melting puzzles

Unfortunately a couple puzzles did not work well and required intervention from the staff to complete. The theming is just ok and doesn't really deliver on the spooky aspect. There are a few puzzles that dont seem well designed and there is an automated voice chucking out hints all the time. A good room for a small number of experienced players who really like the theming, or new players

It felt like 1 puzzle was different, and the narrator voice was changed, but not really anything too interesting. The game really didn't feel very fun, and one puzzle is not really solvable without hints. Set design was great, but it felt boring and didn't really deliver. Can't recommend.
Haunted HouseEscapology - Universal CityEscape roomIRLWanted this to be better, the theming here is great and lots of good creepy atmosphere. However, the staff seem to hate it here and the room fell a bit flat in the gameplay, because the game lacks flow. Its not fun to have to figure out what you should be doing, or solve a puzzle but not have a place that makes sense to input what you've found. The puzzles feel difficult more because they are vague as opposed to challenging, and require hints in order to make sense. Hopefully they make some tweaks to help it flow better in the future. For the moment I can't recommend it at its current price, plus you have to pay a lot to park. Maybe if youre already at Universal and have a discount it could be worth trying.
Men In Suits (MIS)Maze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLWanted to love the game more but the story is almost non-existent. The theming was good and fit well with the tone of the movies though. Definitely had some good puzzles, but again, unfortunately, there were several that just didn't perform as well, or were convoluted in a way that you understood them but were tedious to input the answer. We also thought the end was a bit anti-climactic. If you are a fan of the franchise or aliens and are in the area definetly worth a play and you'll have some fun.

One lock was not working well and needed the game master to help, but they added time to compensate for it so it was ok in the end and I think they said they're going to fix it. Highly recommend if you are a puzzle seeking team

The game master then lied and said that the broken puzzle is meant as a red harring. Drawers didn't open and required hints to figure out they should have already opened. At the end we were hurried out of the room after finishing and the game early, and the game master was not nice and very much just wanted to hustle us out

The lobby is absolutely beautiful and would deffinetly recommend taking some time to enjoy it. The room itself was more on the beginner to intermediate difficulty, but there were still a few more involved puzzles for escape room veterans looking to try this one out.

Cannibal's Den 2.0 - CLOSEDQuest Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLWanted to love this room more, but we felt it fell a little short in a few areas. *Also if you have claustrophobia beware this room!!!* First the good: atmosphere is great, it is gorey, and very spooky. I liked that the ending felt real and helped wrap the game up in a good way. I hate when gsmes just feel like they kind of end without a fulfilling resolution. Now the not so good: some of the puzzles are not clear , which was disappointing. I like when puzzles are hard, but vagueness feels like hard for the sake of being hard and wasting time, not fun. Also there was one clue that was so worn out it was unreadable, which felt frustrating.

There are just too few puzzles and what little there is to figure out is pretty straight forward. The production value was good but it felt like a lot of wasted space. The actor did their best to play the part but that too felt really unneeded in the game, unfortunately. It lacked the typical questroom immersion that usually makes their games so good.

Not overly difficult puzzles, they were all on the easy side for experienced players, but you're in this one for the FUN and FREIGH! This is great for small groups or couples as it really can help build the tension. The game itself was very immersive but maintained a wonderful horror to comedy balance, with great in room visuals! Huge shout out to AJ for making it a terrific experience. If you are looking for a Fun, (not brain bending puzzles), where you want to feel immersed, and if you like Scares, this room won't disappoint.
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - San DiegoEscape roomIRLThis was a fun and immersive game. Not particularly hard, but great if you are a fan of the cartoon. Not just for beginners there are a few puzzles that will require some thought and more advanced problem solving. Recommended to any level group if you're looking for a fun ride, but not hard enough if you're looking specifically for difficult puzzles. Also you should tell you game master in advance if you don't want them to give unprompted clues!!!
