The Isle of WonderThe Greatest EscapeEscape roomIRLVery fun and unexpected game. Picked this game because it was highly rated and it dd not disappoint. It was very immersive from top to bottom. Great effects, esthetics and puzzles that fit the game. No game timer, so that was frustrating. The ending was a little unclear and the story seemed slightly choppy. Nevertheless, great game all around. I’ll eventually do the rest of their games. Seems like most of there games will be pretty good here.
The TreehouseConfusion EscapesEscape roomIRLWhat a fun, well thought out, well put together game. Great game for all ages. Wonderful team here. This game should be on everyone’s must do games. Needs 4 people to play, mainly because there are so many puzzles. But it’s all super cool as it uses a new type of flow called multi linear. The decor and design were gorgeous. Lighting, sound and general effects were fantastic. Even better than their first game.

Plus a puzzle that made you do something physical that I’ve never done before and was really fun to do. I did it with a bunch of newbies and they all had a really good time. Great for beginners.

The decor was okay. It was worth a play. Especially if you okay with three or more. It aligns well with the price when you have three or more people.

Throughly impressed for it being an independently built game. Split start. I did it with a newbie and we made it through okay. Lots of locks. But I didn’t mind this time. Everything made sense and flowed well. The last room was well worth the wait. Some of the best immersive effects. Whimsical and a fun clever story. I only wished Captain Bones was in the room with us.

They are a red herring. Just decor. Not a puzzle. Other than that it has a ton of good puzzles that fit the decor and have a good amount of challenge. Everything flows well and is executed nicely.

Built everything themselves and did a good job creating an enjoyable escape room. Over priced for two people, but I understand, people need to make a living.

Things thrown together a bit and the plot didn’t align well with the actual game play. Wait for it to go back to normal and play it then. Or just okay it during the Holiday version and don’t go play it when it changes back.

Sadly the story gets lost and I expected more special effects. Puzzles were so so. Very high tech, though masked well with the design. Love the room. Definitely top twenty.

The Dark Sector - CLOSEDNorth Valley Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis was an okay game. Slightly disappointing. Their decor was just okay. Didn’t look as cool as it could have. They used a lot of wood in the construction, so parts of it looks cheap. It used a couple of puzzles I have never seen before that were just totally brilliant. But it also had some confusing puzzles. Like having colored locks with multiple colored puzzle pieces that got to different locks. One of the puzzles was cool, but fully executed poorly due to being too busy. Plus I don’t like their 5 only clue rule. The focus should always be about finishing the room not about the time. Number one priority should be about creating a great customer experience and I don’t think they focus on that enough. Plus their two person price is too expensive. With as many escape rooms as their are in Phoenix, I think we will stop coming here to spend our money else where on better games and hopefully better all around experiences.
The Genie's Lamp - CLOSEDNorth Valley Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis game is okay. It has the coolest ceiling I have ever scene and the walls were pretty good too. But all the puzzle decor seemed cheap. There weren’t enough puzzles and a couple of them were kind of hard to identify as puzzles. But nevertheless fun and a decent experience. It made a good date night for me the MRS, though pretty expensive for two people. $45 per person. It’s only $30 per person when doing 4+ many games are more for only two people. It this was a bit too much. Especially since this is such a linear game, the more people you have the less fun it will be for everyone.
Pandora’s BoxTrapped! Escape Room - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLThis is the best special effects of any game I have ever played. Felt like I was in a Disneyland production. Felt a lot like the Tiki Room. Which I love! So that was fun. Game story itself as okay but the puzzles and SFX made up for lack of story. I was they took this same caliber of game creation and come up with a great story and larger space cause this was great. We had a lot of fun. The game was dark at time and something were hard to read. Plus it was very linear high led to some down time where myself or my wife weren’t working on a puzzle at the time. But nevertheless, still a great game. Played this game again with other friends. Apparently there are bonus puzzles if you have enough time left over. When me and the wife played we never new. But when we played a bigger group we unlocked 4 additional puzzles when we had plenty of time remaining. I really liked that.
Grandma's SurpriseTrapped! Escape Room - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLI love this game. It was fun and playful and great for all ages. Great game to play as a family. We did date night and had a total blast. The team treated us well and their hunt delivery was fantastic. You will have a blast when you play this game.
