Legend of the LeprechaunOff Center Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was an adorable room. Super fun puzzles. Good gameplay. Good mix of normal puzzles and mechanical puzzles. A few we had not seen before. The owners were super nice! Also took my nephew to his first one here (check age limits) and it was a perfect room for him to help! Nothing scary, super fun! Loved this and will be back for the other room.

The employees are some of the nicest people and this room in particular was fantastic! The ambiance was great and there were a ton of puzzles. They had amazing graphics on the screen, great effects, good old school puzzles and mechanical puzzles!! We cannot recommend this room enough!

Carbon: 3708Mission Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis room was excellent! Escaped with 2:55 left. It gave us that adrenaline rush at the end. We did it with two people. Could have used another one or two people just from the sheer number of puzzles, but it was honestly fabulous! Robin our game master was very nice. It could use a coat of paint, but that didn’t take away from the game play. Recommend! And we’ll be back for another room!

Expedition UnknownEncrypted Escape - Bethesda [prev. Escape Quest]Escape roomIRLWe love encrypted escape in West Reading, PA. So we were so excited when we saw they opened a location in DC. We did two rooms while visiting. The Black Widow was fun but it had a lot of just locks and codes and was very linear. It might be good for first timers. Then we did the catacombs. It was such a good theme. The puzzles were pretty good. The problem was that several things went wrong and the game master didn’t give us time back and didn’t seem apologetic at all. First they literally had to come in and cut open a lock because the answer to the clue did not open it. So we wasted a bunch of time and their hint was “enter the code correctly” but then they realized it wasn’t working and came in with bolt cutters. Then we had an issue where they didn’t reset a puzzle properly and we spent several minutes trying to figure out what a puzzle meant and how to use it when it was already solved and the key was literally next to the lock in the dark where we couldn’t see it. When we pointed that out afterwards, the game master was like - oh yea someone didn’t reset that right. Again that wasted a bunch of time. We escaped but it is not up to the level of their sister location which is literally our favorite escape room location!

She listened when we said we would ask her for clues when we wanted them. It could use a little more atmosphere/ambience, but a good beginner room.

As people who have done numerous rooms, it didn’t take us horribly long (35 minutes) but we got great joy from the puzzles and the theme and the effects. We were laughing and dancing. It was a really good room and the crew there is always so nice!! Love them!
