Bites MotelBite The FlyEscape roomIRLThis room was easily the surprise of our Spain trip for me, I would rank it 4th out of the 10 rooms we played but only because the quality of other rooms was so high. I think it's underrated at #97 on TERPECA. the best acting I've experienced in a room, huge detailed gamespace, and just the right amount of challenge for the puzzles. Excellent use of lighting to help guide us through the space to the right room and create some extra suspense. As a side note, the game considers itself "tension" and says It's "not trying to scare you" on the website, but that's untrue they absolutely are, there are jumpscares and chase sequences. Make sure you have at least one somewhat brave member.

This room is deserving of all of the praise it receives, it has a huge gamespace novel and interesting puzzles and top-tier set design. If I had one criticism, it would be that the game was pretty easy to complete overall, I personally would have appreciated more challenging puzzles. It's a little bit out of the way in Terassa, but it was absolutely worth the trouble of getting there.

This room wasn't without its flaws, several of the puzzles were pretty standard issue, and the realistic environment can ruin clothing. However, this room had the most immersive environment that I've seen and the climactic moments were truly impactful and memorable. Even if you're not a fan of getting dirty this room is a must do.
The CryptEscape New HavenEscape roomIRLA very simple room with a classic feel, most of the puzzle answers are eventually input into locks. A few unique ideas in here, and an interesting story. If you're an escape room enthusiast with a crippling addiction, you'll probably enjoy this room, but there are better offerings around. Overall a good but not great game.

The set was relatively simplistic and the theme wasn't anything extraordinary, but the game excelled in presenting strong and interesting puzzles. I really enjoyed the experience, but you won't be wowed by the set or special effects; play this one if you're in it for the puzzles.
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle Adventure - CLOSEDEscapology - TrumbullEscape roomIRLUnfortunately we were unable to complete the room because we lost 10 minutes due to a technical issue that the gm eventually had to come in and fix. The theme was cute and integrated into the puzzles, but the tech was extremely faulty. Aside from the aforementioned issue there were a few audio tracks that did not play, a few sensors that did not work, and it was difficult to hear some things open when the puzzles were solved. Maintenance in general was definitely an issue that affected the experience. Not terrible overall but nothing special.
InvasionMind Factory Escape GamesEscape roomIRLAwesome room, my favorite that we've done so far in Connecticut. Excellent story and atmosphere, and the puzzles all flowed very well. Somewhat difficult for two people, but nothing felt unfair. Really high quality games at this location, I would recommend both of them.

Unfortunately we had some problems with broken tech, and the clock was not stopped when the gm came into the room to fix it. That aside the puzzles were varied and fun. It had a interesting plot and the set design is cool even though it's relatively low budget. I'd reccomend a group of four even though the space is small because there are a lot of puzzles packed into this one.
Ghost LightMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLA really cool and unique room. The set and the puzzles were solid. Where this room really excelled was the story, one of the most unique that we've played. If you're looking for a room in NYC, this one would be my recommendation.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - New JerseyEscape roomIRLUsually chain escape rooms tend to offer weaker experiences, but the escape game is an exception. We both loved playground, the puzzles were just the right difficulty and quantity for a group of four. The story is goofy and really just an excuse for the puzzles to exist, but it doesn't hinder the experience much. The set was very fun and nostalgic, and some unique puzzles were used. Definitely worth a play for anyone in the area.
Montauk ProjectMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLA very good room, had some really intuitive and unique puzzles. The game starts off slow and atmospheric, but finishes strong. There isn't much story too this room, aside from its stranger things inspiration. If you're only able to play one room at this location, I'd recommend Ghost Light, but this one is very good as well.

Some of the puzzles were a bit unintuitive and certain scenes that should have been the high point of the story were not emphasized to the degree they could have been. That being said, amazing special effects and set design. Easily the best room in the region and a must do.
The Grand Parlor13th Hour Escape Room - WhartonEscape roomIRLVery large room with a ton of puzzles to complete, unless you're very experienced would recommend a large group. Some of the puzzles were a bit unintuitive and the gating on certain puzzles was frustrating at times. There was a lot of guessing which solution should be input where. Set design is excellent though, and a few puzzles were clever and unique. Recommend for large groups.
The InquisitionLara's Labyrinth - MiddletownEscape roomIRLThis was a decent room, excelled in decor and theming, but the puzzles were quite weak imo. Even with a group of two, the room took us around 40 minutes to complete, so I'd definitely avoid bringing more than two. The room is definitely spooky, but not too frightening, pretty much anyone could manage, but I'd avoid bringing young children. Many aspects of this room were broken or not working when we played, but considering the location is now closed they were probably just not motivated to fix them. I don't think the broken puzzles really impacted our playthrough though, my biggest complaint is that there just wasn't enough content to take up an hour. If you care less about puzzles, and enjoy set design and horror theming it's not a bad room at all.
Wigwam Escape Room - CLOSEDWigwam Escape Room at The Institute For American Indian StudiesEscape roomIRLThis was one of the most unique rooms we've done. They did a great job of incorporating learning about indigenous people into the room. The atmosphere was good but not exceptional, and the story was pretty basic. As far as puzzles go, this one was a bit hit or miss, with some really unique ones that made sense in context and others that were typical and didn't match the quality of the standout puzzles. There wasn't much indication of progress on one particular physical task, which proved to be a bit frustrating. All in all, if the idea of learning through the escape room medium appeals to you, it's absolutely worth playing.
The Wizard RealmPuzzle Theory - South WindsorEscape roomIRLA nice little room, a good challenge for two people. The plot is a little cheesy, but the puzzles are good and some are unique. There are one or two puzzles that have weak signposting. The set is small but well made. Not a must do by any means, but a fun time for fans of Harry Potter or other similar works.

However, due to the TERPECA status of the room we were a bit disappointed. It's definitely a standout experience but not, imo, top 100 room worthy. Still strongly recommended but temper expectations a bit.

Even if horror rooms are not your cup of tea I'd still reccomend going if you can manage. The setting and the story are easily the best I've experienced. The puzzles are alright, a bit on the easier side, but definitely take a backseat to the set and story. Definitely a must play deserving of all the praise it receives.
