Area 51
Escape Room - Middleburg [prev. Trapped! Escape Room]
Escape room
IRL
Visually and immersive with good integration of puzzles that felt thematic. A lot of elements to manage as the room is huge so good for larger groups. One particular light was a constant bright strobe light which got annoying so we used a prop to cover it but didn’t distract from gameplay.
Dr. Jones And The Sword Of Kings
Escape Room - Middleburg [prev. Trapped! Escape Room]

Great use of theme and visual immersion. Other than a few elements my team overlooked, puzzles were a good challenge and not overtly straightforward. Good mix of type of puzzles which we find great for teams as someone can excel in one type and not the other. Another good addition to the company’s repertoire of rooms.
Who Stole Mona?
Escapology - Solon
Escape room
IRL
Good room for beginners wanting a challenge. A good mix of puzzle types which can spread out the skills sets between the team. The room did feel a bit older with props fading from wear but didn’t detract from gameplay. A prop/puzzle was apparently broken but they adjusted and we didn’t notice.
Tiki Bar

Great novel theme and set design. Some puzzles required out of the box thinking and mental gymnastics or logical jumps solve which our team doesn’t enjoy as much.
Jumanji
Trapped! Escape Room - Strongsville
Escape room

The puzzles were relevant to the theme but there was definitely knowledge that was needed from outside the room. A lot of props were broken but not crucial to solve things. Not high tech at all and was open to the lobby so you could hear the lobby as well as people walking in the mall. It was the second room done at this location and both were very disappointing especially with other options available around the area.
The Labyrinth
Escape Room - Middleburg [prev. Trapped! Escape Room]

The room felt old and clunky. While there were a good mix of puzzle elements and types, the overall handling of props and puzzles felt out of date. A couple of times a lot of force was required which goes against the enthusiasts mindset of 2-finger pressure rule. During an element of the game the game master had to come in to reset as it became physically impossible to retrieve a key. This was after a lot of time elapsed and felt as though the game master wasn’t paying attention. There are definitely other rooms at the same location to do which would accommodate larger groups such as this room. *I knew this room was a hold over room from when it was bought out by the current owners when I booked. This room definitely does not feel of the same quality as others from this company.
