Moriarty's Manor
MindFox Escape
Escape room
IRL
This room was very well done in mixing mechanical locks and technical locks. The technical aspect was a lot of new experiences for us and haven’t seen a room do it the way they do. Overall a very immersive room and would highly recommend! This room is much bigger than the Black and White Cafe and I would recommend at least 3 for enthusiasts. Only downside is there is no physical timer in the room to let you know how much time has elapsed. You get an update on time every 15 minutes or unless you request one.

The atmosphere was exceptional! My girlfriend is a huge Harry Potter fan and absolutely loved this room! It truly felt like you were walking into Hogwarts and could do real magic! The puzzles weren’t particularly difficult it just took a minute to figure out the right puzzle the clues belonged to at first. This room used a mix of mechanical and technical locks but mainly high tech that never seen before in other escape rooms. We had a group of 4 which was helpful I think less would’ve been a little more difficult but we made it through using our spells! Also heard from our GM they are opening up another room at this company within the next 4 months and it’ll be another wizard themed room so we are super excited and want to come back for that!

This game was very interesting in the sense that we experienced positive and negative. The positives were the theme and the details of the room were amazing felt like I was in the jungle. The puzzles were pretty interesting since they had to do with different things and weren’t a lot of mechanical locks. This room would’ve been easier if we had more than 2 people for sure. The two of us enjoyed it but my girlfriend has some negative experiences lol. The negatives were we weren’t able to figure out how much time we had left, and the music/noise in the room was very loud that we couldn’t enjoy what was happening or just got freaked out. Also, with the background they chose for the hints was hard to read with the different colors. Lastly, the beginning video shown was very long and we just wanted to get started already. We will see if we return for the next room.
Siren's Cove
Escape Hour Point Ruston
Escape room

Definitely the most immersive room I’ve ever been in!! From the story to the decorations to the puzzles, it truly felt like we were on a mission to find the treasure. I will say that this was one of the biggest rooms I’ve ever done with the most amount of locks and puzzles. I would recommend at least 6 people as you will need to do a lot of running around. I would also recommend not wearing black pants as you will be crawling. Our game masters were SUPER nice and stuck to their characters to make it that much more immersive. Would love to do the rest of their games for this company and would recommend it to all enthusiasts!
The Tipsy Tailor

This company has absolutely amazing customer service and helped my group when we couldn’t book online. The atmosphere and set design in the rooms was 10/10!! It was my groups first time doing a two part escape room. Not only were we trying to escape but we were trying to solve puzzles to find bottles for points. We were a little skeptical because we were worried it would take away from the game but it didn’t in any way! It was very fun with lots of puzzles to go around. I would say it’s mostly nonlinear so getting a good group would be helpful. My group loved this room and can’t wait for the new one they are coming out with!
Black and White Cafe
MindFox Escape

Ever since I found this room off Morty I’ve been dying to do it and we finally did! Man I loved everything about this little cafe! I would say for escape room enthusiast you’ll enjoy a little more of a challenge with only 2 people like we did. If you want to experience the game a little easier I would say 3-4. The room is small but also non-linear which is why I recommend the different amount of people. This room has puzzles that were very different from other rooms with a mixture of mechanical and high tech. It was a lot of fun!
The Curse Of The Black Knight
EscapeX Rooms - Irvine
Escape room
IRL
This room was fantastic! Definitely up there with one of my favorites with the vibes of trying to break the curse of the black knight. It was linear and a good group of 4/5 due to small spaces but also it’s a lot of different levels of floors. It was the most physically active room we’ve ever done so far. We’ve done all the room for this company and it was my favorite out of the 3!
Playground
The Escape Game

This room was very well done from the theme to the puzzles! It was a mix of mechanical and technical when it came to locks. I felt like I was back in grade school trying to solve problems in a classroom and going through the jungle gym. I went with a group total of 8 and I felt that it was a good number! Everyone in my group has done escape rooms before and together so it was a fairly easy room to do! The only downside to this company is that they don’t do private rooms. That being said we did unfortunately have people book the other spots by the time it was our reservation. However!! The staff that checked in the strangers offered them a different time slot at a different room and we ended up not having to do the room with strangers! I truly appreciated this as I was nervous about it not being private.
The Family Cabin
Quicksand Escape Games
Escape room
IRL
I loved the room itself with feeling like it was entering your family’s cabin. The puzzles were mixed with mechanical and high tech which were super fun to do! There was only 2 of us and I have to say it made it seem like we were on a time crunch based on how many puzzles there were. The room is linear which helped us as a team of two. We had a few issues along the way such as our GM randomly came into the room to check on something then left which left us confused. Then the last puzzle which is what we needed to “win” the game didn’t work so there wasn’t a very anticlimactic ending. The GM didn’t help in that either because he (I didn’t get his name) said “it’s not working but you did win.” The tone just wasn’t very excited as it should be when you beat the room. The GM may have killed our vibe but we didn’t let that ruin our game experience! Still a fun room to do!
An Office Escape

The office escape room was amazing I am a huge fan so i geeked out on the room! The clues were definitely on the more difficult side but it was worth the challenge! Trina the game master was very helpful!
