The StorykeeperLocurioEscape roomIRLMost immersive room with rare forest fairytale theme and set design. Well designed puzzles to match.
Alien ZooEscapism PortlandEscape roomIRLFun theme! Looks on the older side but some cute uses of sensors and tech. Would be good with kids, a bit easy for puzzle veterans.
Steampunk AirshipPortland Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLGreat set and puzzle design that worked together to feel immersive! Cool unique use of tech too to create new feeling puzzles. The game master stayed in the room with us acting, and was a great conversationalist afterwards about the room design which they had helped developed and was clearly invested in which was great to see.
FlushedLeft Behind The Great Escape - Circuit X MakatiEscape roomIRLMuch better than the Breakout Philippines escape room we tried, which felt more like a Gen 1 escape room with bad set clues and too much linear paper puzzles (in the dark too!) This one, Flushed, sounds like a silly theme but it's actually a gritty set design that feels cramped at first but uses it's space (genuine toilet stalls) really well and then opens up. Lots of actual good puzzle design and plenty for multiple people to work on. It's a lot to do in 45 min though and if you're late (don't forget the time to fill out the waiver) you lose that time.
The Vanishing ActLocurioEscape roomIRLGreat! Harder than the storykeeper, not quite as stunning or immersive but still fun. Cool use of different lock types.
Zodiac KillerEscape Room Seattle by Fox In A BoxEscape roomIRLImmersive experience with sounds and actors outside the room! Very cool set design too with some built in elements and some interesting movements, thinking outside the box, etc.
Tomb Raider Experience Seattle: Enter the Temple of Fire [Immersive Experience not an Escape Room] - CLOSEDTomb Raider Experience SeattleEscape roomOther Multiple rooms with mini puzzles, nothing impressive and nothing connected puzzle-wise between the areas (you cannot go back). They are timed, and you can't even move forward if you finish early (and you can't apply that time to a later room either). Not fun. They really should space out groups by at least 15 min, that should give enough time to reset everything and still allow like 5 min buffer for teams to move forward if they finish early. The actor was nothing special, not as good as in other experiences. They spent more money on props and high tech when they should've focused on making the puzzles fun or interaction actually immersive (timed breaks are not immersive).
Museum LockdownKryptoScape Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLBasic paper puzzles at first, more interesting tech and set design later but puzzles weren't the most interesting/intellectual
Evil Dead 2 - CLOSEDHourglass EscapesEscape roomIRLFun and detailed set design, though smaller and less immersive/moody than their Mystery at Innsmouth room which is one of our favorites.
The Curse Of Madame Zita’s CuriositiesFind and SeekEscape roomIRLSurprisingly good use of the space given the limitations of being inside a mall, clever puzzle designs and lots to do in 45 min.
The Curse Of The Black KnightEscapeX Rooms - IrvineEscape roomIRLReally great customized space, designed in surprising and unique ways so it feels delightfully immersive beyond what most escape rooms can accomplish. Cool use of tech and set magic, sticks well to their theme. All around a super fun experience even if we finished a bit faster than we expected, the puzzles were still enjoyable and they didn't feel too easy. Tight space (and smooth puzzling if you're good) so I recommend two players.
Luck and Key BarConundroom - Downtown ParkEscape roomIRLFun and a lot better than the Mona Lisa room or the Red vs. Blue rooms we did from Conundroom. Still, a few puzzles did not feel well designed or quite intuitive. Some light related puzzles could use more distinct lighting as it was not clear to see/differentiate. The set was immersive.
Rise of The Mad Pharaoh - CLOSEDHourglass EscapesEscape roomIRLThe most generic of Hourglass's rooms, felt like a basic gen 1 escape room that would've also been more fun with less people - it doesn't properly support such a large group size offering. No really outstanding puzzles.
Mystery At Innsmouth: An Official Arkham Horror Escape Room - CLOSEDHourglass EscapesEscape roomIRLOne of our favorites, great variety of puzzles in a very immersive, moody set with built in puzzles that fit the scene. Appropriately difficult too.
Prison BreakEscape Room Seattle by Fox In A BoxEscape roomIRLFun and in actual cells for the set so that was pretty cool and immersive. The escape route was very unexpected and cool too. Puzzles a bit simple, I think this room was good but not as great as their Zodiac Killer room.
Red Vs. Blue: Bomb Defuse Challenge - CLOSEDConundroom - Downtown ParkEscape roomIRLPuzzles fairly simple and easy. Breezed through it.
The Dark RoomCognition EscapesEscape roomIRLFun, slightly spooky escape room in the dark with small flashlights. Really great for a date, and good selection of puzzles but the creepy atmosphere (and knocking on the door to pass hints) helped make it a better experience. The game master was nice and gave us an extra minute since we were on the very final step.
