We did this with our usual smaller group of two people. Daniel did a fantastic job as host, but also as designer/builder of the room. Clearly passionate about their work & this showed in the way the whole place was set up. This place has one of the cleanest & nicest bathrooms we've come across! :) The escape room itself was excellent. We were a little uncomfortable about the initial premise (we're not crooks by nature), but as the story unfolded, we settled into it and played along. Everything worked well together, nicely thought out, beautifully designed. A great escape room!

Having gone through Launch, we tackled this with our usual group of two. We had Shelley as our GM, just as I did the first time, and it was excellent to be able to chat with her before and after the game. Definitely a room for more experienced players as the sheer number of objects in the initial room would easily overwhelm a less-experienced player. We, however, loved it, as each clue fairly clearly demonstrated what puzzle it related to… eventually.

Unlike pretty much every other escape room that we’ve done, this one contained no background story at all. We were placed into a red room and had to escape. That was it. Our game master, Kohei, also stayed in the room with us, providing hints and assistance as required. We booked as a group, so had a private experience. Just the two of us and the game host. This was a very simple, mechanical, not-too-techy type room. But what made this room shine were some puzzle elements we had never encountered before. Without giving away spoilers, the room design put these to excellent use.

Our regular twosome team tried this room on a whim. It was generally a good room. Theming was very good and the puzzles mostly made sense. Not too hard a room, but a few potentially tricky sections. The beginning of the room was nice. A few escape room “rules” were not followed by the game designers. For example, some things looked like very obvious puzzles but were not – I won’t give away what this was here – and the GM had to step in to tell us this was just decorative while we were busy “solving” this. The final lock mechanism to actually exit the room was disappointing. It was probably manually triggered, I think, and it took about 5-10 seconds for something to happen, by which time we thought we’d done something wrong and had moved on to look for something else.

We did this is a group of 6. The first impression is that this is a room constructed of materials sourced from as cheap as they could find. Then you realise there’s some hidden tech behind it. What that leaves is a room that requires some imagination, much like you’re playing with your fellow 8-year-old friends and building a fort out of cushions and blankets in your lounge room, and then hiding the fact that the lounge chair actually has a hidden launcher system. Come in here expecting a story that is slowly told out over the time period. Don’t rush it. Enjoy the story and the puzzles. The puzzles are few but some can be complex. If you rush to get through within 40 minutes like one of the previous reviewers, I think you are missing the point of this room.

Our team of two played this room on a whim one evening, missing the younger element who often contributes to puzzle solving in unique ways to get us out of pickles. The GM warned us of the non-linearity of the room from the outset, and the room didn’t disappoint in this regard; we like rooms like this. Overall, good puzzles. Nothing outstandingly different but well put together, especially those that required many elements to come together to solve one puzzle. However, the storyline wasn’t particularly strong.

Played almost entirely on a tabletop, this is a fun interactive activity. Not the usual escape room. I think you’d come here more for the story then for the usually thrill of an escape room. There are at least two, perhaps three, identical rooms, so we split our group between two rooms and raced each other to finish. Language: We did this in English but some of the speech was in Korean with English subtitles. You definitely need good language skills to understand some of the clues. Dislikes: Too many video cut scenes which took up a lot of time. They contributed to the story but were a bit too long and slow. Also, the system used could only cope with one thing happening at a time, so you can’t do anything else while the story cut scenes are playing.

Theming was excellent. Not a polished look, but good enough to give the feel of the actual location. It nicely straddles that spot between too homemade and too highbrow. Although each puzzle wasn’t necessarily difficult, there was a lot to do and the puzzles are mostly visible from the start, although not solvable. Most puzzles fit the unfolding story, but some things seemed to get a bit lost partway through. Overall a good variety of puzzles. Some equipment issues, one of which required the GM to enter the room to check an item that had reportedly been broken by the previous group & hastily fixed between groups.

This is part 3 of a 3-part story arc encompassing all the physical rooms in this location. Our team of three players did all three rooms in one afternoon. All three rooms work well together seamlessly, but also function as individual rooms. Rick had put so much thought and effort into getting these into their current state & it was a pleasure to chat to him about them. This room is beautifully themed, with a great storyline, interesting puzzles, has been well put together & was just a lovely experience.

This is part 1 of a 3-part story arc encompassing all the physical rooms in this location. Our team of three players did all three rooms in one afternoon. All three rooms work well together seamlessly, but also function as individual rooms. Rick has put so much thought and effort into getting these into their current state & it was a pleasure to chat to him about them. This room has the simplest story line of the three rooms, very easy to follow & working well with the puzzles. The way this escape room starts is just hilarious, and sets up the experience very very well. We enjoyed this room very much.
