A Pirate's CurseEscapology - National HarborEscape roomIRLNot too much to say about this room. It was just okay. Not our favorite, but it was alright. The puzzles/room just wasn’t anything special or different and the flow wasn’t the best. There were no moments where we felt like something stood out or was cool. Average.
The Blind Tiger SpeakeasyExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLOur group had a great time tonight! We did the speakeasy room and finished with just under 20 min to spare. The room was an awesome time from start to finish. LOVE a room that is more than just locks- this room was full of unique and exciting puzzles. Everything flowed nicely, all the props were really nicely done and in great condition. Shout out to our game master Jadeeeee! She was welcoming, fun, and friendly. Really appreciate the recap she gave us at the end to walk through everything we did. We will absolutely be back to this place. One of our absolute favorite so far out of 20+ escape rooms.
Storyteller's SecretBoxarooEscape roomIRLThis is a THE BEST ROOM I have ever done. I think about it all the time and tell everyone how amazing it is. This place is states away from me and I plan to go back one day just because it’s that great!
Mystery of the Magician's StudyBoxarooEscape roomIRLAnother fun room at boxaroo! As always, interesting and different puzzles, great and detailed atmosphere, and an awesome flow.
DraculaNerd EscapesEscape roomIRLThis room was A LOT of fun! Great theme that is well done all throughout. I find it to be a lot of fun when escape rooms are more than just a bunch of locks & this room was full of exciting and new ways to solve puzzles. Definitely a memorable one for me!
Dr. Whack’s Elixir Of LifeThe Escape Game - GeorgetownEscape roomIRLEnjoyed the room, but did not enjoy the fact that this place does not have private bookings. They allow up to 10 people to join the game, which dampers the experience
The Black WidowEscape QuestEscape roomIRLThis room was so much fun! Cool atmosphere. Interesting puzzles. Cool props.
Cell Block ER&H Escape Room -WaldorfEscape roomIRLThis is the only escape room I have never escaped. It is a difficult room, but some of the puzzles just didn’t work. At the end of the game, the game master asked if we had any puzzles. We asked about the one thing we could not get to work. We knew how it should have worked, but it did not line up correctly. The game master tried to show us but couldn’t get it himself. Instead of admitting it, he started to lead us out of the room…. This was at the very end of the game. If we didn’t have this hold up, we would have escaped. Disappointed.
Sir Walter SpeakeasyThe Tower EscapesEscape roomIRLThis room is instantly added to my list of all time favorite escape rooms. Love a room that does not use any locks. Every puzzle was super unique and is solved in FUN ways! Definitely a memorable experience.
The AlchemistInsomnia Escape Room DCEscape roomIRLFelt like this was the biggest waste of money. The room and all of its props are literally falling apart. The writing that you must read to solve the puzzles is so worn that’s it’s almost impossible to read. The room was so hot with no airflow. The speaker system that the game master talks through was too quiet and had bad sound quality. The music was too loud to be able to hear the game master over it. Huge disappointment.
Elven ForestBond's Escape Room - ArlingtonEscape roomIRLReally disappointed by this one. We finished the game in 30 min. Small room. Was totally expecting another room to open or something, but nope, just the one small room. Not enough to do. Puzzles were just okay. I don’t appreciate how they ask you to do a google review right there at the front desk after you play. Explains why the google reviews are mostly positive, but real reviews are not. They are putting pressure on people to leave a positive review. Obviously leaving a bad review right there would be awkward.
Anomaly AcresEscapeTime Escape Rooms - AnnapolisEscape roomIRLThis room was okay. Some good. Some bad. Definitely room for improvement. Some of the puzzles were cool with good props and others were kind of terrible. Did not have the best flow either.
Arcade Challenge [prev. Retro Replay]The Great Escape Room - Arlington [prev. Escape Room Arlington]Escape roomIRLThis room was SO FUN! Interesting puzzles. All the nostalgia. Just a great time. Love the 80s music too!
Once Upon a CrimeMission Escape Rooms - AnnapolisEscape roomIRLThis room was a bummer. The theme sounded so fun, but the room did not live up to the hype. There were no “ahhhh” moments, just “oh…”. There was just no flow. The room was boring, the puzzles were boring and disappointing.
