Batman™: The Dark Knight ChallengeEscapology - TempeEscape roomIRLMany things in the room did not work properly. Also, our game master gave us clues (two times) for puzzles we had already solved, and then he gave us clues for parts that we were doing correctly but were broken/erroring. So we had a lot of wasted time. Then at the end it just said we completed the mission, when we hadn’t yet. Then the game masters came in and said we were done and didn’t apologize at all for the faulty aspects of the rooms. No compensation was offered either. Cool looking game and theme was great but it didn’t work properly and the people working there didn’t seem to care that it didn’t work properly. They shouldn’t have allowed us to book the experience in the first place knowing the room was faulty. Disappointing.
BeWitchedLara’s Labyrinth - San Diego [prev. Quest Room]Escape roomIRLWould be fun for a group. We were only 2, still fun but wished we had more people with us, not because the puzzles were too difficult but because we could have laughed even more.
CannibalLara’s Labyrinth - San Diego [prev. Quest Room]Escape roomIRLI was super scared!! Thrilling for sure!
London Fog: The Mists of TimeThe EntrapmentEscape roomIRLVery difficult. Definitely don’t do this one with less than 3 people. This is a great room for larger groups of 4-8. True to form, like the other rooms at Entrapment, this room is intricate and detail oriented and full of stimulating props, which makes it hard for people with ADHD
Outside In - CLOSEDTop Tier Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFlowed very well. Linear puzzle experience. I thought it was on the easy side. We asked for two clues because we thought we were running low on time. Turns out we didn’t need the clues because we had a bout 20 minutes left over at the end. There is not a timer in the room so it’s a good idea to ask how much time is left every once in a while.
Atlantis: Dive To The Forgotten City - CLOSEDTop Tier Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLLoved the ocean sounds and ambiance. Did not think it was hard but we’ve done a lot of escape rooms. Great for 2 people.
Arcade - CLOSEDEscape EraEscape roomIRLLoved this one!! Recommend having at least 3 people because there’s a lot to do and it doesn’t have to be done linearly. The theme is great (I was born in the 80’s) and having knowledge of arcade and video games will help you a little I think, but not necessary.
Deja Vu - CLOSEDEscape EraEscape roomIRLPlayed with just two people and we escaped with just 2 clues/hints. I thought it was fun, definitely would recommend. Might be too easy for more than 2 people.
The DinerQuicksand Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis one was fun. Liked the diner theme. We tended to overthink the puzzles. It’s simpler than we were making it. Mechanical puzzles.
Chinatown - CLOSEDQuicksand Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWished we had played with more people. There were only two of us, and there is a lot of puzzles to get through. It’s well done! Challenging.
Moriarty's ManorMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLThis is most likely my favorite room that I’ve done. The decor and details are impressive. The mechanics of the puzzles work perfectly. It incorporates all the senses, and teamwork. Loved this room.
Black and White CafeMindFox EscapeEscape roomIRLI recommend this one to beginners. It’s fun and well done. Would only recommend to groups of 4 or less.
The NeighborSteal and EscapeEscape roomIRLReally liked this one. The ambiance and decor was well done. Plenty of space to move around too, which was a nice change from many other rooms we’ve done. The AI aspect was cool, added another level of immersion into the game. Would be better with 3 people but we did it with just 2.
Once Upon a TimeRed Door Escape Room - San DiegoEscape roomIRLThis was my favorite room at Red Door. Maybe because it was the first room we did there or maybe because I liked the theme best. Good beginner room. Played it with 2 people.
The Chocolate Factory - CLOSEDBoss-Play Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLYou can eat the candy! Although they need better types of candy… haha. We had fun in this one, however, do not go after about 8pm, the bar next door plays super loud music at night, wished they would have disclosed that to us before we booked the room, because it detracts from the experience and conflicts with the sounds in the game.
Y2K Virus - CLOSEDThe Unlockables - PowayEscape roomIRLLoved the theme. I was born in 1985 so of course I loved the theme. Good 2 person room. The lights can be nauseating though, did not like the disco ball lights.
Contraband - CLOSEDThe Unlockables - Kearny MesaEscape roomIRLI liked this one. Different from others because there is no end to it. You just have to make as much money as possible, so skies the limit. The tech is not great though. The device that you need to use the entire time did not work properly for us and a malfunction in the very beginning pretty much ruined the game for us. Wish we would have asked for a refund or asked to play again from the beginning.
The Bayou: The Legend of the Midnight RavenThe EntrapmentEscape roomIRLVery impressive room. The tech, sights, and sounds are cool. You must be good at listening. Best to have more than two people.
High School Detention - CLOSEDThe Unlockables - Kearny MesaEscape roomIRLJust the right amount of challenging. Barely made it out. Did with 2 people. Solid theme.
Prison BreakRed Door Escape Room - San DiegoEscape roomIRLOf all the rooms at red door this one was my least favorite. Just didn’t flow to me and the clues we got didn’t help. We were given clues about puzzles we already finished at one point. So it may have been an off day for our game master. Wasn’t feeling this room. Also some of the mechanics of the items wasn’t working 100%.
