Cornstalkers: Lost in the MaizeThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLAs an experience/performance, it was really good and very entertaining. As an escape room, I would have preferred the puzzles to require more thought to solve. There were a lot of puzzles packed in the 90 minutes, but the most difficult aspects of each tended to be finding things in the room and matching symbols and/or following instructions
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLMy favorite room at this location. Good mix of challenging puzzles and engaging atmosphere. Actor really added to the experience. One puzzle seemed a bit arbitrary, and left me looking for another clue, but that's a minor nitpick among a lot of great.
Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!Doldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRL
Phantom Files: The Investigation Of Lockturne ManorThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLMy favorite escape room at this location, though my two teammates preferred the arcade to this one, and it was a close second for me also. The immersion and set is top notch. The puzzles required some depth and lateral thinking to solve, the acting flowed really well and added significantly to the experience. Definitely a top tier room.
Cutthroat Cavern13th Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLWOW! This is probably the best escape room we've ever done. Our team of normally 3 had to recruit a novice stranger as a 4th because that's the room minimum. We got out with less than 30 seconds to spare, and I imagine this would be a challenge for most teams of 4. 6 or more is probably a much less frenetic experience. But the room is incredible and huge and elaborate, with not just one but several elements that are unique to this room. It feels like you're in a movie. Puzzles are challenging and complex and take a lot of creativity to solve. Simply amazing and unparalleled experience overall.
Nightfall: Creature At Camp DeadwoodThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLOur team of 3 agreed this was our 3rd favorite room at this location, but it's still one of the best in Florida and a top tier room overall. Definitely a unique experience and the acting brings it to life in a very exciting way. I think the puzzles in this room were the least challenging, although one puzzle stands out as a notable exception, requiring a good bit of lateral thought. Definitely worth doing
Click 'N Glitch Arcade PalaceThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLThis was our team of 3's favorite room at this location, though I personally give phantom files the slight edge. This room is so much fun, and the acting is the most engaging and exciting of all the rooms. You really feel like you're part of the story. The puzzles are really clever and well put together, especially in the middle game, though one puzzle near the end felt a little tedious and involved some educated guesswork. I prefer the port charlotte rooms to the orlando ones, and was told this is a bit newer location, and seems they're constantly improving as they go.
Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLOf the 3 rooms our team of 3 did at this location, this one gave us the most trouble. We found ourselves down the wrong tracks few times and needed hints for things we missed. Had some cool puzzle elements, definitely a great theme and fun experience, but we preferred cornstalkers and the arctic adventure at this location, the former for the experience and the latter for the puzzle flow and theming.
Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!Doldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLSome good unique puzzles. Good flow. A cool immersive visual effect. Good humor. Too dark. Good challenge. Couldn't complete 2 of the puzzles without smartphone flashlights. One element broken, but still a very fun room.
The Mummy's TombThe Wreck Room Escape GameEscape roomIRLTheming was really good. Room was on the smaller side. Puzzles were well thought out, but most of it felt a little bit like following a user manual and busywork, with very little time spent actually problem solving
Area 51The Wreck Room Escape GameEscape roomIRLExcellent unique and out of the box puzzles that require creativity and lateral thinking to solve. Good theming, somewhat limited effects, and one puzzle that's a little bit of busywork. Overall a lot of fun.
