Smuggler's BayLockdown Paphos - ChlorakaEscape roomIRLWe had a fantastic time playing Smuggler’s Bay at Lockdown Paphos Chlorakas! The escape room is located inside the Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort. It was a really fun experience with a great atmosphere. The puzzles were intuitive and flowed well, making the room easy to navigate while still being engaging. It’s an excellent choice for families or anyone looking for an enjoyable, well-designed experience. We also loved that the creator included some unique elements that we hadn’t seen in many other escape rooms, which made the experience feel fresh and memorable. We had a great time and would definitely recommend Smuggler’s Bay to anyone visiting Lockdown Paphos in Chlorakas!

George Rodotheou was amazing game master and he took good care of us!

Since the game is linear, after completing the first puzzle we accidentally jumped straight to the fifth, thinking it was part of the game. We didn’t realize what had happened during the experience, but when we finished the room we were surprised to learn that four puzzles had been skipped because the room hadn’t been properly reset. Throughout the game, we kept returning to the first room trying to figure out the lockers we had missed, which caused us to waste a lot of time. It was an unfortunate and disappointing situation. That said, they did offer us a discount, and we returned the next day to try another room.

Wizard TrialsPanIQ Room - West HollywoodEscape roomIRLI really enjoyed this room! I loved the magic wand 🪄 that the wizards carry through the game to activate things, such a fun idea. We escaped and saved the cat, but unfortunately, we didn’t get to see her. That was my only disappointment. Make sure you ask to see the cat, because once the game is over, you have to go to another room to find her.
The Morning AfterPanIQ Room - West HollywoodEscape roomIRLThe room was really fun! I think it is the first escape room I have done with a full adult spicy theme. It was juicy! One of the main puzzles at the end was broken, but we still managed to escape 10 minutes early with just one hint!
Haunted HouseEscapology - Universal CityEscape roomIRLThe room has a lot of potential but also many problems. We started the room 15 minutes later than our scheduled time because the previous group did not come out on time, which caused a delay to our next activity. The room is located right next to the lobby, and the lobby music is so loud that it completely ruins the horror atmosphere. One of the puzzles even requires careful listening, which becomes almost impossible with the music playing outside. Several of the books on the bookshelf were broken, and it looked like the game master had been forcing them open. A couple of puzzles were solved purely by “luck” or seemed to work miraculously without explanation. When we asked for hints, the game master gave us the full solutions instead of guiding us, which was not helpful at all. When I ask for a hint, I want direction on how to find the code, not the code itself. Very unprofessional. If I wanted the full solution, I would have asked for it. We escaped about ten minutes before our time was up, mostly because of the lack of proper support. It also felt like we were the last group of the night, and they were rushing to finish. You spend a lot of money on these experiences, and they should never make you feel rushed or disappointed. Overall: Disappointing.
Zombie Trapped Enigma Escape Rooms CyprusEscape roomIRLGreat puzzles with a zombie theme adapted to Cypriot culture! We played the 90-minute extended version, and we definitely recommend it. Our group got some good scares from the zombies, it was thrilling and so much fun!
Doomsday - CLOSEDBreakOut Ayia NapaEscape roomIRLThe room has some good puzzles and follows a traditional escape-room style, with plenty of lockers to open. However, I wasn’t a fan of the hint system. The first hint is only offered after 15 minutes, so if you get stuck at the very beginning, you end up losing that time for no reason. Another drawback is that the game master has to physically enter the room to give hints, which breaks the immersion of the experience. A walkie-talkie or similar system would have been a much better solution.
KidnappedEnigma Escape Rooms CyprusEscape roomIRLThe room has some nice puzzles, but it can get confusing because of a list of tasks that you don’t actually need to complete. The list contains eight tasks designed for eight players, but if you’re only two players, you only need to complete two of them. This isn’t explained clearly, so you can end up wasting a lot of time thinking all the tasks are part of the game.
Who Stole Mona?Escapology - Universal CityEscape roomIRLThe room is filled with puzzles, some of which are nonsensical. The design is purely executed, and it’s only one room. Some of the puzzles are difficult to comprehend. One puzzle involves math, but it’s incorrect and doesn’t follow the actual mathematical logic. For instance, when there’s an X in the equation, you’re supposed to perform the X calculation first, but this puzzle doesn’t do that. It’s a waste of money to pay $50 each for that room. I genuinely hope the other rooms are better and more well-designed because this one is truly disappointing.
The MansionEscape LimassolEscape roomIRLI like the new room of this location a lot. The production is so much higher than the other rooms, great puzzles. the hints were very unclear and the hint system is not fast to get direct helpful hint to the point and you spent a lot of time trying to understand the hint that doesn’t make sense to the players. I explained more on the hint issue on a different note here! Also one of the major issues of that location is that the they have a lot of kids events, and the noise of the kids in the lobby that was directly outside of the room was so loud that made the experience unpleasant because you can’t concentrate! But overall we enjoyed the room and we recommend it to everyone!

There were great puzzles, and I’m so grateful to the host who advised us to split up and work on puzzles because the room is large and we’re only three people. It was the best advice! We’re a great team, and we managed to solve puzzles separately and then reunite when needed. We escaped just 5 minutes before the end!

It's nonlinear and that is very complicated when you are smaller team to achieve all these puzzles. I feel 70 minutes is ideal for shorter groups based on the amazing number of puzzles that you have to deal with it
