WreckedMasterpiece EscapesEscape roomIRLWe loved Wrecked! Note: masterpiece escapes is moving in a couple months (summer 2026), we played at their original location. Puzzles were awesome, super diegetic and really solid physical solves. Several puzzles we’ve seen versions of before, but done really real well here. Lightly spooky but not too scary!
GamelandDeleta Skating & Family Fun CenterEscape roomIRLHey friends! I’m giving this one a thumbs up but do know what you’re getting into. It’s not very expensive, but this place is very homemade, and not fancy. It’s cute, quaint, and had a few charming moments! However there are spots where duct tape is holding things together and sometimes sheetrock has holes, not to mention a few ghost puzzles. We had fun, and the staff were very nice, but can’t really recommend this one for most folks.

The Man From BeyondStrange Bird ImmersiveEscape roomIRLWow. After hearing about this room for years, I was a little worried it might not live up to the hype. Summary: it did a dang good job. Note: I won’t say it’s perfect, a few things were quite worn, but the story, and the building /lobby/room were all absolutely incredible. Puzzles were solid, quite a few very satisfying ah ha moments. Actors are present and a critical part of the room; all of them did a phenomenal job. With a few special moments/interactions that absolutely made my day. Strange Bird deserves the praise and I will be among the many waiting for their next room to open its doors.
Wizard's Treasure60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLSo cute! Amazing set and just full of joy and fun. An “easy” room but take your time and just enjoy this amazingly cute gem of a room.
Ink & AshesExodus Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe absolutely loved! As others have mentioned, lots of puzzles. Will keep a group busy for sure. Set was very well done and story was the best “detective/murder mystery” style any of us have seen. Flow was mostly logical and kept good variety throughout. 9/10. Really enjoyed. ☺️
Atlantis: The Forgotten CityHypnotic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe loved Atlantis. Very solid game! Absolutely beautiful set and both staff we talked to were so friendly and welcoming. Love the “preview” near the beginning 😉 and the room only opened up from there! You can tell there is a bunch of love put into the whole thing.
Buried Alive By A Creepy Dude! - CLOSEDGnarly EscapesEscape roomIRLBank heist is my favorite escape room and buried alive is also pretty good! Gnarly is very unorthodox but very fun! Yes you are buried alive and will be in individual boxes for part of the room.
Houdini's Dressing Room - CLOSEDRexburg Re-EscapeEscape roomIRLA fairly simplistic, mostly linear room, but it was cute. Puzzles were fun and made sense for the most part. A few things were quite worn down, but nothing unusable. Experienced players will probably fly through.
Mansion MurderEscapology - ClackamasEscape roomIRLWe played 4 rooms at escapology and this was the hardest. Several puzzles were quite challenging, and there were quite a few to cover! As with all rooms we played here, fair /clear markings and awesome well taken care of sets. Highly recommend any of their rooms!
Mad HatterTreasure Valley Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally liked this one! Medium hard difficulty overall, one part contains crawling , but there is an accessibility option available upon request. Quite a few puzzles, only a few physical locks in the entire game. I’ve played all 4 rooms at TVER and this one /gemstone are my 2 favorites.
Room 1301 - CLOSEDEscape From Mystery ManorEscape roomIRLPlayed December 2022. Everything was very rundown from sheetrock anchors coming out of the wall to multiple visible electronics and wires. Several puzzles did not trigger when solved and we often didn’t know when it was broken or when we had it wrong. Old school hint system of only 3 hints before it costs you time in the room, and on all 3 hints we used some of the information on the tv was either things we had done already or not gotten access to yet. It’s a very old gen1 (maybe gen 1.5) style escape room and those playing room 1301 should be aware when they step into the hotel of what type of room awaits.
The Lost Mine [prev. Gold Rush]Labyrinth Escape Games - BoiseEscape roomIRLAs with all Labyrinth rooms, set is beautiful! And hosts were both top tier and very fun to chat with and interact with before, during, and after the room. (Houston & Jenkins?) As is often my personal bane, missed a few search related things, but overall room is very nice though not standout. Good addition to the labyrinth escape rooms storyline cannon if you follow that :)
The Body ShopRed Fox EscapesEscape roomIRLPlayed all 3 red fox games while in Boston for recon 2022. This game is Top 5 game all time for me! Story was absolutely amazing, puzzles and the room itself told /showed me the story and I was blown away by many little details that only added to the experience. A good mix of some tech & lots of very hands on activities (No physically demanding aspects tho) Adaptive difficulty (Nico, Co-owner, explained how they set that up and they do a good job of it) Definitely worth a go if you're playing rooms in Boston! Side note, both other games at red fox were quite good, with "the heist" also making my top 20 list, but if you only have time for 1, body shop is the choice.
The Wizard’s Final ExamEscape This BoiseEscape roomIRLPlayed with a larger group, 7, but it was a good time with multiple puzzles to solve at once. Theming was petty decent, and lots of fun curiosities and jars and boxes to explore. Had a few ah-ha! moments and a few clever uses of items I’ve seen before, used in new ways. Raw puzzle count was decently high! Probably not a room I’d recommend for a very first time, though overall quite excellent! By far my favorite room at Escape This. Minor gripe: A few times we found parts of a puzzle which we thought we could then. It wasn’t very clear that a puzzle was not solvable until much later. Now sometimes we knew more parts where still to come, but 2 times we thought we had what we needed only to be stuck for some time.
Blacksite - CLOSEDLabyrinth Escape Games - NampaEscape roomIRLVery unique game. Think high tech spy training. Game play was almost entirely linear. Tech heavy to an extreme level. Most of the time a team of 2 would be fine. Certainly didn't feel like we needed more than 3. At least 1 person in the group needs to be okay with medium amounts of crawling.
Mutant XThink Escape Games - Fort LauderdaleEscape roomIRLVery fun tech, though a few puzzles required slightly larger leaps than I prefer. Game host was quick to give hints /suggestions for the biggest offenders. Overall fun, but I certainly wouldn't recommend for beginners or even returning casuals.
The Vanishing ActLocurioEscape roomIRLVery fun room. Well executed puzzles and challenges. A story that didn't feel forced, but had some interest. Everything felt doable, even the hardest moments always were within grasp. Had a great game host as well.
Cat Lady - CLOSEDMad Genius EscapesEscape roomIRLThis room was quite hilarious! One puzzle was really finicky, but overall it was a fun, albeit linear room. Played with a few others in a public room (pre covid). The storyline alone is worth checking out this room if you visit the Portland area.
Gem Mine: Last BreathTreasure Valley Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLEscape Treasure valley is a wonderful place. Sean, the owner, was great and you can tell the craftsmanship put into everything. Fun puzzles. Serious aha solving moments and exploration moments. Theme and story was simple but effective. If you only have time for 1 room in the Boise area, this would be a good choice!
