Jungle Game4 Dreams Escape Game - DenverEscape roomIRLGreat room inspired by Jumanji. Had a mix of mostly high tech puzzles while still having a few basic lock puzzles. It’s broken down into three stages, and the instructions on what you need to do are very clear, but knowing where to start on each stage was a bit confusing. I felt it could’ve been a bit longer in getting the answers to some of the puzzles, and the ending when you escape was pretty lackluster - but those didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, great room that wasn’t overly challenging!
Budapest ExpressEscapology - DenverEscape roomIRLMore of a murder mystery than an escape room, so for that reason, I wasn’t as impressed with this one. Collecting clues to figure out “whodunnit”. Fun, but don’t go into it expecting your typical escape room.
Back to the DinerGolden Puzzle RoomEscape roomIRLAmazing set design! The music and the setting made you really feel like you were in an old diner. Some of the puzzles were pretty hard, and without a hint here and there, I’m really not sure how you’d escape this one. Some of the more high tech puzzles did not work, but the gamemaster was quick to fix it. Overall, fun but hard!

The set design was amazing and definitely achieved the whimsical fantasy setting you’d expect from a room with this theme. All the puzzles were very unique and a bunch that I’d never seen before. The room can be done with any number of players, but like the website says, I’d highly recommend at least 3-4 people since it is a non linear room with many puzzles. We did it with just 2 people and came within 2 puzzles of completing it, so with 1-2 more people, we would’ve been able to escape.
Treasure Hunt - CLOSEDMission EscapesEscape roomIRLA simple, yet engaging room. It is a very linear room, so much so that as you solve clues, it tells you which lock goes with that clue so that you aren’t guessing all the locks in the room. Set design wasn’t anything fancy, but it got the job done. I’d say this one is definitely a room for beginners, but even people with lots of experience doing escape rooms will have fun with it.

It’s a small room but they made the most of it with many unique puzzles and cool set design. It’s a non linear game, which typically aren’t my favorite, but they did a great job with this one. Storyline was a little odd, but that didn’t detract from how well done this room was.

I liked the concept of having items hidden throughout the room that you need; makes it like a scavenger hunt within the room. Overall, a good room with a good design and interesting story.
Private Eye For The Mob - CLOSEDEpic Escape Game - Downtown DenverEscape roomIRLOverall, this was an average room. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad by any means. It’s a linear room, and is set up like a crime scene so it basically guides you through the clues from one to the next. The way in which you escape this particular room is a little different, but I won’t spoil anything. It’s a very small room, so I wouldn’t do this one with more than 3-4 people.
Horrorscope Killer - CLOSEDEpic Escape Game - Downtown DenverEscape roomIRLAll of Epic’s room are very good, but this is the first one that I’d say missed the mark. It was way too overly challenging and extremely difficult. I’ve done 50+ rooms and still had a very rough go on this one. None of the puzzles are straightforward, there’s a few where you have to basically infer the solution. Not only that, but there’s one particular puzzle with multiple outcomes, but only one outcome is correct. Even expert players are going to have difficulty on this one. I’d love to try it again if Epic can tone down the level of difficulty here, because the set design and story were pretty fun, even with the room being very small.

This one was straightforward, but not overly challenging to the point where it’s not enjoyable. We never felt like we were stuck and just spinning our wheels. It all flowed well, had a good story and objective, and was very engaging!

Experiment C73Conundrum Escape Rooms - ArvadaEscape roomIRLEasily one of my favorite rooms. The split start was a nice touch, and having to crawl through the tunnel was unique and fun. Communication with your partner/team is key in this one, you won’t get far at all without it. We did it just fine with only two of us, but I could see why some reviews say you may want more. Story was amazing, set design was amazing, just an unbelievable room!
The LighthouseGolden Puzzle RoomEscape roomIRLThis was a VERY hard room. I’ve done quite a few rooms, and this one stumped us from almost the very beginning. It’s non-linear, so that makes tough as it is. The puzzles were unique and pretty difficult, but there is one in particular towards the end that makes very little sense, and we spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure it out before we lucked into it. Also, multipe times when we asked for hints, we did not get a response from the game master. I don’t know if they were having difficulties on their end or what, but that was a little frustrating. Atmosphere and set design were pretty cool, but this was just a very, very hard room - one of the hardest I’ve done.

When thinking about it after the fact, there’s not a whole lot of puzzles; but when you first get into the room and are trying to figure out what goes with what, that’s one long puzzle on its own. And not to mention, you’re doing all this when it’s pitch black and only a few light boxes (boombox-like flashlights), which makes it even cooler! Great set design, great story, awesome game master (J), and amazing great room!

They do a great job maximizing the space, and combining high tech puzzles with mechanical puzzles. Everything is linear, which I always find more enjoyable. Overall, a very enjoyable and engaging room.

They did a good job remodeling the whole room and retooling it from its original design. Overall though, just kind of an average room. If there was an option between like and dislike, that’s where I’d put this one. Puzzles were straightforward, except for one particular one that made no sense. It was enjoyable enough, but nothing overly special.

I’m usually not a fan of the non-linear rooms, but this one was incredible. Set design was amazing, it was like something right out of a movie. Story was great, game master was great, literally everything about this room was great. HIGHLY recommend!
Arizona Shootout - Most WantedEscapology - DenverEscape roomIRLThis one was just ok. If there was something between Like and Dislike, that’s where I’d put this one. Fun enough but nothing special. It was a little tough to get going with the first clue, but once you figure out the first one, then the ball starts rolling. There’s a couple puzzles that’ll stump you along the way, but not too bad. It felt really short, I feel like there could’ve been a few more clues.

So many unique and challenging puzzles, and just when you think it’s over, the surprises keep coming. Loved the set design atmosphere. A couple mechanical issues, but didn’t take away from the experience. Definitely enjoyed this room a lot.
