    This might be my favorite escape room I’ve ever done, hands down. An incredible number of puzzles are crammed in and the production value is probably like nothing else I’ve seen yet. The atmosphere, props, and complexity are all perfect. There is a live actor component that is not scary at all and really added to the whole experience. Has two different endings to pick from. This is the room I always compare everything back to, and I’m itching to come back to Omescape to try the others!

    Lovely little game we played on our brief trip to Helsinki! Atmosphere is really pretty, the nature and mysticism themes advertised were well done. Few tricky puzzles that we needed hints to push us over the edge. Good parallelizability of puzzles. Website advertises use of AI, which was a little wonky in practice but easy to correct and still cute. This room has two choices in ending!

    Feel a bit mixed about this one. It had some interesting moments, but progression felt chaotic and some of the puzzles were mediocre. One room in particular really could’ve benefited from more sounds or lighting to indicate if you were progressing correctly. We accidentally solved a puzzle by button mashing - unclear if that was a technical glitch. I will say that I did like the story and the option for two different endings, just think a little more attention to complexity and room tech could do a lot for the experience! Our GM was very nice, but didn’t know what our room time was for some reason at the end (possible language barrier).

    Very impressive ending indeed! It’s fascinating to think how this small space was able to engineer the tech to achieve it. Even if the room sucked (which it doesn’t), I would still recommend people play for the ending alone. As for the puzzles themselves - definitely does not need more than 2 people. The props, story, and set design is VERY well done, but this led to a lot of red herrings that made us waste time. Personally I found some of the puzzle mechanics finicky and resets took too long. Difficulty was not bad but we nearly didn’t escape because of the small quirks mentioned above. Remember, the game is meant to be very linear on purpose!! Keep these things in mind and you will have a blast - it’s totally worth it!

    Four rooms with quite a few puzzles! We were able to fill up the time reasonably with a group of 6 and finish with half an hour to spare. We did not run into the problem that other reviewers have noted of being pushed forward through rooms, though we did have to negotiate with our GM to replay audio clues that were hard to hear the first time when we didn’t know they were coming. Play was fun and props were very good - while there was nothing mind blowing this is a really solid room for a group who wants to chew on more content for longer!

    My first time doing an escape room! Good amount of challenge, I particularly liked the video game-esque aspects of certain puzzles.

    Played this standard cruise escape room, a bit expensive for what it was. Ultimately while the room itself was decent and had a good range of high-tech props and puzzles, I really did not enjoy the public aspect. It’s unavoidable on a cruise of this size, but it’s a shame they packed the maximum number of people every time slot even though the room does not have enough puzzles to support 10 people. Furthermore playing with such a wide array of strangers did not make the teamwork aspect fun or productive. I was sometimes interrupted, steamrolled, or had my progress undone by someone else who disagreed (and as the youngest people in the room I did not feel comfortable pushing back). If you enjoy escape rooms, I would still give it a shot! But honestly this is best played amongst friends, and I would try to play an early slot at the beginning of the cruise trip before more bored strangers start signing up.
