The AtticEscapeX Rooms - IrvineEscape roomIRLOutdated room but I can appreciate the effort. There were about a thousand number locks and could use some diversity in puzzles :) Creepy but not scary. GM was friendly and gave insight on the room's development.

Some parts of the room were unclear to the overall storyline and would've loved an opportunity to ask the game master questions.

Our game master, Ben, was super welcoming and enthusiastic throughout our entire experience. The room is equal parts creepy, corky, and creative. 10/10 would do it again.

The room is set in a linear fashion and lighting makes it obvious on which puzzle you should be working on at any given time. Recommended amount of players is 3-4 to give each player enough to work on. Customer service was excellent and looking forward to checking out the other rooms with Trapped!
Dollhouse V.2 - CLOSEDPuzzleMazementEscape roomIRLThere were 3 floors and about 15 combination locks...you do the math 💀 Almost every single puzzle depended on a combination lock. The **creepy** factor was there but overall it was non immersive and the storyline was unclear. The game master verbally explained the story to our team while walking us to a different building so it was hard to hear and confusing. We were on our very last combination lock before the time ran out. No extra time was granted. GM had a hattitude the minute we walked in. We were the last game slot of the day so it was clear that he wanted us out of there ASAP.
The Mad RapperScenario Escape RoomEscape roomIRLUnique and creative theme! Music lovers will enjoy this room. The non linear order of puzzles lets teams divide and conquer. It was a bit tough for a 3 player team, ideally this room would take 4+ players.

The lobby has fun trinkets to play around with as you wait. Puzzles are unique (no number locks at all!!!) and hints are provided in a unique way. The only con is some of the props broke easily but the game master was quick in providing alternatives.

A lot of the puzzles are unique and require you to pay extra attention to detail. Prior Stranger Things knowledge is not required but adds an extra layer of appreciation :)

I would suggest at least a group of 8 to comfortably escape at a good pace. This is a great family-friendly room and perfect for team building.
One Eyed JackTrapped! Escape Room - Las VegasEscape roomIRLIf you're into scary theme rooms with complex engineered puzzles, this one is for you! The theme and set design is thoughtful and will have you on your toes the entire time. I would say this room is more on the Advanced level. Having 2 or more intermediate-advanced players would be helpful. If you're ever in the Vegas area, I would recommend!

The game master was super friendly and gave us a rundown of the development and history of the room. If you're looking for a family friendly room, this one is it!
The Curse Of The Black KnightEscapeX Rooms - IrvineEscape roomIRLThis room is incredible! You are completely immersed into the storyline by the engaging set design, music, and overall vibe. Puzzles were intricately unique and some were never before seen at any other rooms. Note: Not ADA accessible, requires some crawling and staircases.
Elevate: SkyloungeWild Goose Escapes - IrvineEscape roomIRLThe Elevate escape room is a great escape room for beginner - intermediate players. After reading the reviews for this room, I automatically added it to my wishlist and glad I was able to check it our shortly after. I loved the elevator concept! Super creative and unique. The game masters at Exodus are friendly and passionate about their escape rooms. One of our team's players was running late but they let her jump right in as soon as she arrived. I visited the Irvine location and parking can be difficult so try to arrive ~15 min early to find a parking spot in the busy plaza. This area had a great of post escape room desserts and goodies.
13th BasementExit Game OC - AnaheimEscape roomIRLIf you’re a fan of GENRE RECOMBINANTS, this one is for you! This was a great escape room because of the size and variations of the puzzles. There are a great series of rooms parodying the typical escape room. You will be blindfolded for a segment of this room but clean and brand new blindfolds are provided to each player. I LOVE mindful and hygienic practices. 👏🏽 I specifically also appreciated the ADA accessibility of the escape room and unique touches by the game masters. The game masters shared a warm welcome and also entertained any questions and comments we had at the end. They shared their insight behind game development and even shared a few of their favorite escape rooms in the area.
