MindTrap Escape Room - Temecula
Escape room
IRL
By far my favorite escape room! The set design is top notch, unreal the level of detail they put into this room. The intro show when you first get into the room is one of the coolest things iv seen, literally felt like we were at a Disneyland show/ride 😂. They did a great job breaking out so many different rooms into the space they had. The puzzles force you to work together and communicate as a team, rather than one person power housing through them all, which I liked. Overall, highly recommend doing this room. The tech is next level, you’ll be sitting there with your jaw dropping at certain levels.

This room was in my top 5 rooms. We did this room with a team of 4 and got through the room with a few minutes to spare. We needed one hint which mainly confirmed that we were working on the right puzzle. The puzzles were really immersed with the theme of the room and it forces your team to communicate and do things together in order to get to the next step. There are times were we split up to divide and conquer different puzzles, which leads to more clues.. but the room design eventually forces you to come back together in order to get through a big puzzle. The designers did a really good job with the overall flow of the room. I highly recommend this to others!!

Great room, they did a great job fitting the theme! Puzzles were creative and fun! We did it with 4 people and we finished pretty quick, but the difficultly is perfect for people that are in the 1-10 escape room range. Mindfox has amazing rooms so I definitely recommend!

This has to be one of my top favorite rooms. The set design was amazing! The interactive props makes the environment that much more immersive! There are a tons of puzzles, not super difficult, it just takes time to finish them all, which I really enjoyed. At the end it felt like we accomplished so many things! This is also one of the few rooms that has a clear interactive story that’s easy and clear to follow. This room isn’t scary at all. There are some amazing room features that occur when you finish certain puzzles and they are like Disneyland status good. We did the Irvine Wizards room right before this one, and this room was superior in my opinion, since the set designs were similar but the amount of puzzles made the experience that much better. This room needs to be at the top of people’s lists!

Super immersive and loved starting out in separated from the team. This room requires lots of teamwork and communication, which was great. The room is non-linear, meaning some puzzles in the beginning aren’t needed until the end, or false clues that aren’t used, which stumped us and burned 15+ minutes. Overall, I loved the challenge, and I loved they really utilized the space! Definitely recommend this for intermediate players that have completed >5 rooms.

Amazing theme! Probably one of my favorite escape room thus far. The amount of detail is pretty amazing. I would say the difficulty is harder than the average room, but not too hard. Everything was definitely solvable, it just took time and communication with your team members. The amount of puzzles is crazy! Its defiantly a divide and conquer type of gameplay. We’ve only played 7 escape rooms and we got in 69 minutes, using only 2 hints (we used hints because we thought we were behind on time, but looking back we didn’t need them). Overall, highly recommend this room!!!

The wall graffiti was amazing. The normal game puzzles were a medium difficulty, we finished that in 40 minutes. The bonus puzzles were super fun and were definitely a lot harder to figure out. The time just expired as we were entering the answer to last bonus puzzle. Overall, I would definitely recommend this room!
Pirates of the Mediterranean: The Curse of the Crystal Cavern
Top Tier Escape Rooms

By far top escape room we’ve played by far! The design of the environment literally feels like you’re playing on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland! It’s not scary at all, so all ages would highly enjoy, it’s just the level of detail with the design of the room was amazing! There’s defiantly a great mixture of locks and tech, but some of the tech in the room had our jaws dropping 😱 There’s a lot of puzzles, which we loved. It’s a nonlinear room, and we had 4 people, so be sure to divide and conquer. Shout out to Holly for getting us setup with the beta testing, she was an awesome game master when we did the other rooms at top tier! We did the beta testing for this room with the owners, who were awesome! It’s truly amazing to see the amount of work the owners put into this room!

Overall i really the puzzles and the immersive environment! I think this is also a great room for people that have done 1-10 range of escape rooms, please it’s not super difficult but it requires you to divide and conquer in small teams. It’s non-linear but it was not to difficult to solve the puzzles. We did it with a group of 4 people and finished with 16min left. Definitely recommend!
