Bob's Lost: The Boy of Painting [Immersive Experience]Bywater GamesEscape roomIRLThis was a unique “homemade” type room that inadvertently ended up teaching you how to use studio equipment! The story line was fun, the set design was super homemade/well done, and the staff were incredible. As with any room, there’s of course trial and error! The only feedback I’d give is maybe scaling back on how many written things were needed to get through, and possibly limiting the learning/useage of equipment to 1 thing instead of 3. It was super cool to learn how to use them, but did become a little bit overwhelming whilst trying to also solve the puzzle(s). Overall love what the owners were going for as it was very different and excited to see what they come out with next!
Shhh!The Escape WarehouseEscape roomIRLThis was a super immersive room *BUT* if you are a scaredy cat (like myself), the room will feel suuuper creepy. Thankfully my partner was willing to do some puzzles I was too scared to do… all this to say, the puzzles/flow/environment was amazingly done, but it will require you to put your big girl/guy pants on!
Vault: SurvivalFantasmiaEscape roomIRLWow! This room was unlike any other room I’ve played in Toronto, it’s very unique! One thing to note is you’ll be needing to use some force/strength in the room… it may feel foreign to do so considering most escape rooms ask you to not use excessive force but this requires it and I genuinely enjoyed that portion. Puzzles themselves were great, and signage was just right. This company originated in Russia so you can tell they brought a fresh perspective/set design. Highly recommend!
True SpiesPerplexity Escape Games BramptonEscape roomIRLI relatively enjoyed the puzzles and the overall flow, the only downfall was the tech glitches which happened mainly in the first room. Once they resolve that, I think the gameplay will be much smoother.
Happy Nights InnTrapped MidtownEscape roomIRLThe room itself was a good concept but the execution wasn’t good. Puzzles weren’t intuitive/didn’t flow well at all. Two of us played this room and as per the staff, they couldn’t show us the remaining puzzles we didn’t get because we “didn’t meet the minimal people requirement”… so because we’re two people, we’re not given the same customer service? Very silly policy that staff are forced to follow. Tried to give trapped another chance but this company continues to disappoint both in room/puzzle design, and customer service.
The CryptHintHunt Escape Games MississaugaEscape roomIRLI really enjoy the games and customer service at hinthunt, but unfortunately, this room missed the mark. The technology was glitchy/didn’t activate, some of the puzzles didn’t really make sense, the set items seemed worn down, and there was use of a sharp object which I personally think should be plastic or another soft material for safety purposes* In any case, this seems to be a one off as the other rooms I played were great and well designed.
The Show Must Go OnEscape Manor - HamiltonEscape roomIRLThis was one of the greatest rooms I’ve done to date! Firstly, the moment you step into the room, you’re incorporated into the story (shout out to Myles!) and then you’re left to explore. The set design was incredible. It truly had the atmosphere of a “magic show” in more ways than one. It was the perfect mixture of tech & lock/key. Puzzles were medium difficulty, very fun to solve, and quite unique. I also enjoyed that it was relatively linear. When you solve one puzzle, it’ll lead you to the next. My partner and I drove from Toronto to play this room and we were not disappointed!

The puzzles were solid, it was just the right amount of dialogue (with subtitles which was very appreciated), and the room itself was simple yet well designed given the theme. It’s a quality company that I will continue to support, looking forward to more rooms in the future.
MagnificoEscaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLThis was hands down the best room I’ve done to date. The amount of effort that went into this room is unbelievable. It was incredibly immersive, fun, and unique. The puzzles themselves were excellent and had you interacting with so many different settings. The live actors in this game really elevated an already amazing experience. This room absolutely earned its reputation as #1.. WOW!!!
Le Château du Supplice Éternel [The Castle of Eternal Suffering]Sauve Qui Peut - Saint-JeanEscape roomIRL*Note* if you have back/neck issues and/or fear of heights, this room is not for you. It is quite physical (though I do appreciate they have ways to bypass this portion if needed) Overall, it was a pretty good room. The set design/visuals were excellent and high quality. The storyline was easy to follow, but the choice of puzzles and amount of dialogue took away from the quality of the experience. Staff were very accommodating and kind. Wasn’t an overly scary room but the times it was, you almost were able to anticipate it which was helpful.

It felt like magic🪄 The puzzles were dialogue heavy, straightforward, and fun to solve! I will definitely continue to support this company as it’s clear a ton of effort goes into the rooms ! The customer service is also excellent.
Reactor 4Ready Set Go Adventures - MississaugaEscape roomIRLCool room, lots of puzzles to solve and very clear directive. The only thing is I’ve done two rooms from this company, and it was almost the same puzzles/layout but slightly different. I also found the sound too overstimulating, since some of the puzzles required listening, it was hard to do that at points with the background alarms. Other than that, staff were great and it was a good time!
Echoes WithinTrapped - ScarboroughEscape roomIRLThe staff were kind so no complaints there, but this room wasn’t executed well at all. The materials were very cheapy DIY looking, there were no properly clues or signage in the rooms so things didn’t flow, and it was overall boring… unfortunately a miss this time around.
Big Brain Labs60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLA unique and fun room! It was colourful, activity based, and dialogue-heavy (a little too much dialogue but still cute). Becca made our experience even better with her humour, kindness, and enthusiasm. For those who like locks/passcodes/typical escape room vibes etc, this is not the room for you. These are more simple straight forward type games, gives more of an arcade vibe.
Whatever Happened To The Garretts?Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLThis was by far my top favourite escape room!!! I loved that once the puzzle(s) are solved in a room and the door to the next room opens, you no longer have to go back to the previous room! The puzzles were straight forward and well designed, super cool atmosphere, great story. Overall super happy, and we finished it just fine with 2 people.
