The Lost Treasure Of Alexander Von HumboldtThe RoomEscape roomIRLLast game of the day at The Room, at it was fantastic! The start is different from anything I have seen, and the rest is a very funny, fun and challenging experience! Would reccomend anyone to go and play it!
The DomeMama BazookaEscape roomIRLThe Dome! A game we have hard about for years, and then we are suddenly here, in the lobby, seeing the iconic door to another world. So, how was it? It was great! It was weird, it was fun, it was a lot of things! Was it my favorite, or top 5 from The Netherlands? No, not for me, but I would still recommend players to experience it. We are fast players, and we spent 58 minutes on this room, so it was just in time. Some parts were fantastic, some frustrating, but mostly fun. The story was not super clear, and while watching the video afterwards (which was really cool), the GM explained some more story, that didn't make a lot of sense to us. All in all a cool game, and I am happy to have finally played it.
Titkos Metró [Secret Subway]E-Exit Escape Room BudapestEscape roomIRLThis is the newest game from this company, and the absolute best one! So many fun puzzles, and fun surprises throughout the whole game. I can highly reccomed this one!
Molly's GameUntold Stories Experiences [prev. Down the Hatch]Escape roomIRLThis is my new #1 escape room! This was a journey on so many levels that I cannot really explain it. It made me happy, it made me sad, it made me so, so glad to be an escape room enthusiast. Molly's Game has been on the TERPECA list for many years, and I am so happy to have finally played it. It's really a masterpiece, and the fact that it's starting to get pretty "old" makes it even more impressive. The puzzles are great, the set design is fantastic, and the story and music makes the experience complete. I would give a lot to play this again for the first time. Thank you for giving us this experience! We cannot wait to come back and play the new game from the designers of this one. I have high expectations!
Geisterjäger Brandon Darkmoor [Ghosthunter Brandon Darkmoor]The RoomEscape roomIRLThis is not an escape room, and I think it’s important to be aware of this before you go to play! With that said, this is a truly awesome experience. The setting, the actors, the sets, the start, the ending, the middle, everything! So many fantastic moments! If you want to see where immersive escape room-ish experiences can take you, you should really play this one!
PrayEscape Room KatwijkEscape roomIRLThis was a fantastic start on our Netherland marathon! From the eerie beginning to the great finale, this game delivers on all fronts. The decor and acting was my favorite parts, but the puzzles were also good. One of the better rooms I have played!
Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLAfter wanting to play this for a couple of years, we were finally standing outside of this location. The experience began at the moment we arrived, and what an experience it was! Fantastic actors made this so much more than an escape room, and it is the mix of the immersive theatre and the great puzzles that make this an experience you will remember. The balance of the two were really well done, and we felt like we got ample of time to experience and enjoy both parts of the game. This was our first game with an actor, and for some people it will feel difficult to embrace and interact with the characters as part of the room, but for me, I loved it. I’m just adding to the list of people saying you should play this one, so I am going to end on that: You should play this one!
The AlchemistSherlockedEscape roomIRLThis was our last room on a four day, 22 room trip, and it didn't disappoint. A great use of space, and fun puzzles made this one special. It ended up right over the middle on my ranking for the trip, but with so many high quality games, it's hard to rank them. This was fun, had some very impressive points, and a great flow! Highly recommend if you are in Amsterdam!
40 ThievesMindTrap Escape Room - TemeculaEscape roomIRLYes, yes, yes! (This could have been my full review) Just go and play it as soon as you can, especially if you love rooms with a lot of puzzles. This was one of the rooms I was most looking forward to on our US trip, and it's always a bit scary to be hyped for something, as it's hard to meet those expectations. 40 Thieves met all my expectations, and so much more. This was my wives room #200, and we couldn't have been happier. From the completely fantastic opening, and throughout the whole game, this one just keeps on giving. This is a puzzle lovers dream come true, and there was a lot to do at all times. We had fantastic flow, and ended up escaping in 46 minutes without any hints. I love games that flow well, and here it was just perfect. I cannot find a single thing I didn't like about the room, and this will be in my favorites for a long time to come. 100% recommend that you travel to play this game.
The Last SupperQuest TavernEscape roomIRLWow! What to say that hasn’t been said already? This was a truly unique, fun and stressfull experience! This is an escape room, but at the same time, it’s different from all other escape rooms. The interaction with the actor is not just there to serve the story, but is actually needed to get further in the game. To fully enjoy this game, you’ll need to go with the flow, and play the role of the dinner guests as best as you can. The actor did a truly awesome job at answering us, throwing funny comebacks at us, and all while staying completely in character. The puzzles in the room are fun, but they are not the reason to play this game. They are there for you to have something to do while being stressed out about when the next interaction will be. If you are ok with an intense experience, and you’re ok with having to actively engage with an actor, you should really consider going to play this room! It was also extremely fun for me to have to use my juggling skills to bring the game further ahead. I never thought that would happen in an escape room!
