Wow. Project Minotaur. This room was insanely immersive — easily one of the most memorable escape rooms we’ve ever done. That said, this is not a beginner-friendly room. Even if it’s your second, I’d say wait until you’re more seasoned. There are elements that definitely require experience, strong teamwork, and a sense of humor under pressure or you’ll crack. We went in as a party of three with a decent amount of room experience, and it was still intense in the best way. I’m a scaredy-cat by nature but have recently been dipping into horror/thriller-style rooms — and this one absolutely delivered. It had me on the edge of my seat (or crouched behind a corner, trying not to scream). The atmosphere, effects, and surprises will keep your adrenaline high from start to finish. It’s a massive room. You’ll be crawling, navigating a maze-like space, and doing puzzles that require sharp memory and communication — not because they’re overly difficult, but because the immersive chaos amps up the pressure. And yeah…you will be chased. Probably multiple times. But if you go in with the right group and embrace the chaos, you’ll have a blast. Our incredible game masters (shoutout to Gabe and PJ!) truly made the experience. Their in-character improvisation was top-tier — we were crying laughing half the time, and their quick responses to our jokes and comments made the whole thing feel like an interactive horror comedy we were starring in. Don’t be mistaken however, this room can definitely be the opposite for another team and expected that as well. We were the ones that turned it into more horror comedy than anything and they rolled with it. Truly can’t say enough about how they elevated the experience. Also — yes, we escaped! Our game master let us know we beat it in above average time, which was the cherry on top. Just goes to show: even when you’re screaming and crawling through a maze, teamwork and experience pay off. Final advice? Don’t let your fight-or-flight response take over. Lean in. Interact. Yell back. Laugh a lot. Embrace the chaos. And whatever you do… pick teammates who can survive with you and laugh with you.

Through the Sugar Glass was such a cute and fun experience, and honestly the best way I can describe it is that it felt like Candyland turned into a full escape room. The moment you step inside, it feels like you’re in a magical, Christmas-like world that’s warm, whimsical, and full of nostalgia. We did this room with our kids right before Christmas as a special treat, and it ended up being the perfect choice. They had been asking to do another escape room, and this one was so family-friendly and fun that they enjoyed every minute of it. The set design was incredibly thoughtful, with so many cute details throughout the room. From the giant candy-themed elements like lollipops, gumdrops, gingerbread, and peppermint, to the overall atmosphere, everything felt like it was designed to make you smile. There were also a few fun surprises we weren’t expecting, which made the experience even better. It’s a room where you should be ready to move around a bit, since there are moments where you may need to crawl or go up stairs, but it all adds to the adventure and keeps it engaging the whole way through. One of our kids’ favorite parts was that there were sweet treats included during the experience, which made it even more exciting for them and added an extra little touch that felt special. Quest Tavern always does an amazing job with immersion, and this room was no exception. Even their lobby sets the tone and makes the experience feel fun from the moment you walk in. Our game master was Diego, and he was great. We had played with him before in another room, so it was really fun getting him again and seeing how he helped bring this experience to life. Overall, Through the Sugar Glass was a 10 out of 10 for us. It’s a great option whether you’re going with kids, with a partner, or just if you want something light, whimsical, and feel-good. We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend it.
