Legacy of the DragonTick Tock Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe decided to try this escape room after discovering it on the Morty app and chose this specific room based on its strong reviews and 🥇 ranking. The room is rated as “hard,” and we attempted it with just two people. I will say, it was a nice bonus that there was no additional charge for a smaller group, especially on a weekend. The gameplay itself was very linear. While that can be enjoyable, it became a bit frustrating due to the clue system. Clues could only be requested when “permission” was given, so if you got stuck before that point, you were essentially losing valuable time waiting. Without giving anything away, the room featured a variety of puzzle types, which kept things interesting. It definitely adds to the challenge with only two people, but it’s still very doable. In terms of hints, most of ours simply redirected us to items we had already discovered but needed to revisit or interpret differently. We were also told that clues for this room are sometimes automated, which may mean a game master isn’t actively monitoring your progress at all times. Additionally, having access to a pen and paper for note-taking would have been extremely helpful. It sounds like this has been considered, but it would be a great addition. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience and would recommend this room. There are just a few adjustments that could make it even better. That said, the audio-visual elements were outstanding—easily a 10/10. 👏 ***the frustration for the clue system and recommendation for pen and paper is more in the context of having only 2 people. The way it’s currently set up and ran would probably have been quicker and more doobale with more people
The Sneaky Snake LoungeEscape UEscape roomIRLSuper nice GM. We were lucky to not have anyone else with our group of 4. Room with different stages which is always the best. Fairly linear so we got stuck and took 4 total hints and some prompts. Def would recommend going here and trying this room!
Up in SmokeOzark EscapeEscape roomIRLWe had 6 people. 3 (non first time ever gamers) preferred. Max of 4. People who greeted and ran our room were very nice! Room was fun and challenging. I’d say medium difficulty WITH atleast 3 hints and with 4+ people. Game play is fairly linear so that’s why more 3 is almost pushing too many because people are standing around until one/the next puzzle is figured out to move on. Very typical/common escape room theme: great gatspy/Al Capone This is apparently their hardest room and possibly the best one. I would recommend to do Forsure.
Journey Through Elek's HollowEscape CodeEscape roomIRLWent off best Google reviews in Branson. Ended up choosing Escape Code. Game Master/Front desk attendant was so nice and brought so much energy the moment we walked inside their building. We did: The Journey through Elek’s Hollow. We honestly couldn’t have been more happy with our choice and enjoyed every bit of it. It wasn’t too hard but was every bit challenging and very doable with just a couple hints along the way! Without giving anything away, this room has magnetic locks (which speaks to the caliber of an escape room, IMO) and it’s an escape room that keeps on giving. If we could do it again, we would! We also did: The Guest House right afterwards and it was a little more simple, not quite as many puzzles as Elek’s, but we very much enjoyed it as well and would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if you’re not advanced like us. There were only 2 of us and we solved both puzzles with maybe 2 hints each, along the way. Can’t wait to get back to Branson and try one of their 90-minute rooms because apparently they have even more to offer.
Camp SasquatchOzark EscapeEscape roomIRLWould definitely recommend. Very nice staff. Smaller sized room so that’s why I say 2 (non-beginners) is ideal More easy than medium (with 2-3 hints) Fairly Linear. Needed a hint for a not-so-obvious action needed that would have saved us time. It was a fun room otherwise. Some fun (startling) noises and magnetic drawers but nothing too advanced.
The Secret AgentThe Experience Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe had a group of 4 for our escape room experience. We have passed this location more times that we can count and have never experienced it. All I can say is don’t judge a book by its cover (from the outside). We booked online and ended up booking the most difficult room (per them): The Secret Agent. We booked online and very reasonably priced. All rooms are private which is a non-negotiable. Their lobby is very warm and welcoming for an Escape room which is promising for their rooms/experiences. Talking with the hostess/manager you can tell they care about their rooms and customer’s experience being positive and fun to where you want to come back for more. They took us into the room, explained rules, 60 minutes, and only 3 clues. The room itself had plenty of locks, puzzles, and activities. The room had magnetic doors and drawers and also was the “gift that kept on giving.” We took all 3 clues and got out with 11 minutes to spare. For 4 people, I would say it was moderately difficult but obviously doable (with hints). We were very pleased and 100% plan to return for their other rooms! Best Escape Room (Company) in NWA, no question.
Al Capone’s HideoutNWA Escape Room - BentonvilleEscape roomIRLWe Booked: Al Capone’s Hideout. Went based off reviews. The game master was fantastic, very informative, very kind, and explained everything very well. He was also attentive during our game play. If I’m being honest, this was a very underwhelming Escape room. I inevitably compare it to any other escape room I’ve done and I wasn’t very impressed 🥴 It was challenging and we did complete it, but it was a VERY simple set up a room, compared to any other escape room I’ve done.
