Another fantastic room by Black Mountain Escape! I think this is the most *whimsical* room we've done before, and we really loved that part about it. This is hard to explain without spoilers, but I'll just say that there are some delightful moments in the experience that perfectly capture the feeling of a classic magic show. Multiple moments putting a smile on your face just as when a magician pulls a rabbit out of his hat and you don't know how it got there. Very on-theme, and well done. The puzzles in this room were also very satisfying to solve. Many that were very creative and all of them felt logical and rewarding. We did have a moment or two where we accidentally guessed a clue or solved it in a way not intended, but it didn't feel too upsetting among so many good ones. We had a different game master from our first time, and he was just as friendly as the first. He actually greeted us by name when we arrived and apparently looked up we had done one of their rooms previously 1.5 years ago. I don't think I've ever received such a personal welcome at an escape room before. He was a fun actor as part of the experience. I especially appreciated the magic tricks he began with which were mostly unrelated to the room except in the way they set the tone and theme. Quality experience that you don't get most places. My one main negative remark is, just as with the first room we did, this one is a *bit* run down. The props show wear, and some items show abuse. Extremely minor complaint here.

This was one of the most immersive and exciting escape rooms I’ve done! From the moment you step inside, you’re transported into a thrilling experience that keeps you engaged until the very end. The puzzles are not only fun and creative, but the live actor adds an extra layer of excitement with some unexpected tricks they have up their sleeve.
The puzzles were fun. Not too difficult, but some that made you think.
From the moment you walk in to the time you are finished with the game, you are taken on a journey with your GM.
The owner was incredibly nice and you can tell how much work has went into their business.

Admittedly, I’m a huge fan of magician themed escape rooms so I may be a bit biased when I say that this was my favorite room at this location. I really enjoyed the inclusion of magic tricks and surprise components in this room. The puzzles were well executed and there were plenty of things for everyone in the party to be able to contribute. I really enjoyed this room!
The gameplay was really fun! There were plenty of puzzles for everyone in the party and the puzzles were very unique. The gameplay also fit right in to the magician theme!
The set design wasn’t the most extravagant magician room I’ve seen but the immersivity of the magic tricks really elevated the atmosphere.
The GM was very kind and helpful throughout the room.

The execution of the magician theme was well done and not a direct copy of other similarly themed rooms.
The introduction to the theme in the lobby really set the tone for the room.

There is a bit more thinking outside of the box in this room than there is in the other rooms at this location. Depending on your level of experience with escape rooms, difficulty may vary.

There were some small spaces throughout this game but the group was never required to be in the small spaces all at once.

Kind of, the game master also served as an actor for a small portion of the game. The live actor was not in the room with you the entire time and when they did come into the room, they were not there to scare you.

There were some small spaces but entry into these spaces was not required from the entire party. Some puzzles involved color.

I’ve never done a room quite like this one, with a GM coming in and out as part of the story. I really enjoyed that added element, as it added an air of lightheartedness that isn’t always present in escape rooms. The transitions were phenomenal; the puzzles themselves were quite simple and relied a lot more on searching.
Very unique transitions that worked well
The set itself was fine—what made it immersive was the GM’s character
Stuart was amazing! He did a great job as our GM
