“The Mafia Adventure” is ready to take you back to a time of true excitement and danger in Texas history—1933, the height of Bonnie and Clyde’s reign of terror on the American South. There’s a price on the head of Bonnie and Clyde. Dead or alive, that pair of thieves and murderers are worth a fortune. That’s what has driven you and your posse to go look for them. After asking questions around town, you’re finally given a good lead. The dastardly duo have been recently spotted around the Jacksboro Highway scene—a place filled with debauchery and illegal activities. As you and your posse cruise down the street, keeping an eye out, one of you suddenly shouts— “There! They just ducked in that building!” The building in question? A well-known local establishment known as Tom Foolery’s Jazz Club. You’ve heard of the place before, in your line of work. In fact, you happen to know that a jazz club isn’t all it is.The place is a notorious speakeasy, serving illegal alcohol during the reign of Prohibition. Not only that, but the place is said to be owned and operated by the local crime family. It’s a dangerous place to be, no doubt. But this is a lead you can’t lose. You square your shoulders, pull open the door, and make your way inside…

Whew, there was a lot of puzzles for just two people but somehow we made it out. We had an iPad for hints which we really liked. The GM was also helpful when needed. This was a fun room and our second favorite at this location. Train Heist was our favorite. We also really liked Witches Tower but that was the only room we didnt escape so I ranked it 3rd. Based on all the Morty reviews, I was excited about The Secret Chambers. Fortunately, TSC more than met our expectations. We did all 3 rooms in Fort Worth today and Poe and Pirate's Adventure in Arlington yesterday. I cannot say enough good things about these rooms. All of their rooms were very well themed. The puzzles were fun, made sense and fit the theme. The staff was very nice. We even got a tour of one of their future rooms still under construction. Its gonna be incredible when it's done. Highly recommend The Secret Chambers.

The theming of the room is very cool and the puzzles were challenging, but the system we were given to use for hints was awful and the game master was pretty unenthusiastic. They gave us an iPad to use that just showed all the possible hints we would need based on the puzzle we were on. So basically you could pre see all of the puzzles and click on the one you’re on to get 2 possible hints. There were many times the hints from the iPads just weren’t helpful for what we were stuck on. We were suppose to be able to call out to a game master for help, but when we did that he took a while to respond. On top of that he was somewhat unenthusiastic compared to game masters in other rooms we’ve done. We read reviews on Morty before booking the room and no one mentioned an iPad system so not sure if they were just busy/short handed and had to use this system when normally they wouldn’t. On top of that, the last puzzle we did we had the correct code in but it just wouldn’t trigger the mechanism for the lock on a door. When we asked the game master he told us the code to put in and it matched what we had, but he just didn’t respond after that for a minute or two and suddenly the door unlocked. We’ve done the Secret Chambers in Arlington and loved it so we were surprised to not have had the same experience at the Fort Worth location. I think if we’d had a traditional game master and not the iPad system, it would have gone a lot better. The room was really cool and it had a fun ending. We’ll still be back to try other rooms, but I may try to pick rooms that for sure have a game master in the future

This mafia bar was speakeasy for us wise guys! Well, to be fair, some of the last few puzzles were so hard we had to mafia-style cheat and brute force it because that’s who we are, legitimate businessmen. The rest of the room paid its dues in fun ways. Our GM was a great mobster and helped us get past some crap. I feel like the more youse already know bout things in da room before even entering, the better yous’ll do. The remixed old-timey music pleased our godfather ears. And the finale was a riot! Wake up from your sleep with da fishes and don’t be a fool! Definitely recommend you become a gangsta!

One of our favorites in over 70 games! Props were top notch, puzzles were fantastic, and the room was themed super well over all. We did this with a group of four and escapes with 13 mins remaining with minimal hints-so don’t let the large capacity and difficulty scare you off!

Some very different puzzles on a casino-type theme that made us approach puzzles with a new appreciation in this game! So many fun reveals built into the game that made us say “whoa” and really made it a great ride! I forgot to buy shirts on our way out so will need to take a trip back to Texas sometime since there’s not an online store.

The room was good but could have flowed a tad better. There seamed to be be a few more puzzles then possible to complete the room timely but maybe if it flowed a lot better we could have gotten it done.

Gameplay

It was novel but did not flow great although we did like the puzzles and the room had potential if the flow was just a tad better.
