Outback Hell - CLOSEDEscape Room Oz CaloundraEscape roomIRLOverall, we didn’t enjoy this escape room. Some of the puzzles were frustrating. The experience lasted only 50 minutes instead of a full hour, yet you still have to pay for the full time. Clues are limited unless you pay extra 😳 When we asked for clues, if we didn’t understand and needed clarification, they would just repeat the same hint over and over, even when it was obvious it wasn’t helping. There was also a moment where we were fairly sure we had the correct answer, yet we still couldn’t progress in the game. We were very disappointed and do not recommend this room or the place as the staff wasn’t pleasant either.

At the end, we were a few seconds away from escaping, but they didn’t let us finish, which was really disappointing. Overall, the staff weren’t very pleasant either, so we wouldn’t recommend this room or the venue.

It’s the only Escape Room place where they don’t give you a whole hour and it doesn’t make sense. The “game master” wasn’t pleasant either. Their walky talkies don’t function so instead of talking through them they barge in the room to give you the clue - which takes you out of the game and atmosphere. Also, instead of a “clue”, they often tell you exactly where the clues are, so you can’t even think for yourself. And when you didn’t escape and at the end ask them to explain the puzzles, they tell you in 10 seconds and sound annoyed that you even asked. Terrible experience!
