Game NightCU Adventures in Time and SpaceEscape roomIRLThis is one of my favorite rooms - of all time. I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. An embodiment of a D&D. Some super cool high tech puzzles, surprises, and I had a fantastic time with my friends. Please do this room
Revenge Of The CabinCU Adventures in Time and SpaceEscape roomIRLI was a little nervous heading into this room because I am a bit of a scaredy cat - but I am SO SO GLAD I did it. This was a fantastic room, puzzles ranged from easy to us needing to put our three heads together to figure it out. Take a group of your friends - you’ll have a great time.
Detective Vs. DillingerEscape Artistry Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI was excited for this room! A noir room seemed very interesting. But this isn’t a noir room - it’s a Sherlock Holmes room. Overall, the game master was friendly, but some of the procedures and pre-game speeches they had to say had a condescending feel. The game itself was lackluster. I had told the game master before the room that my friend and I had done many escape rooms before, so we would probably do okay on our own (it was just the two of us). I really don’t like it when game masters give clues when I don’t ask for them and this game master did it many times. I would rather lose with my own merit than be handed many clues. Additionally, the room had many puzzles that really didn’t function properly as they were intended to. Overall, this room was a disappointment.
Lab Of The LostThe Quandary Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLOverall, I had a good experience here. The GM was friendly (shout out to Cam!) and even though there was a WiFi issue which caused puzzles to not function correctly, I had a good time. The GM also comped our game because of this. The puzzles made sense/were straight forward. This room is linear, which isn’t my favorite but that’s okay! It was good for just a duo. I wish the set was a little better. I would go back to try another one of their rooms!
The Last SupperQuest TavernEscape roomIRLI just did The Last Supper here at Quest Tavern. I had high hopes - I have heard a lot about this escape room and I was looking forward to it. However, The Last Supper is not an escape room. It’s immersive theater with about 6 puzzles. I could over look the issues I had in this room if it was advertised as an escape room, but what I cannot overlook is that at the end of the “room” there was such a violent part that my friend got hurt and their glasses were damaged. There is a long introduction to the room which the game master says “the actor will not be violent to you, please don’t be violent to us”. However, the actor throws themselves into the door and my friends and I needed at least two people to hold this door shut and my friend ended up getting hurt. It was not just throwing themselves into the door once or twice, it was repeatedly throughout a section. I love escape rooms, I’ve done many, but I cannot endorse an Escape room that you get hurt in and then the staff does minimal to help or attempt to take accountability.

I don’t feel like the puzzles were particularly hard/none of them stood out but the environment was very cool. Having the right team balance is super important in this room. HeadcaseBreaking Point Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA really solid room, overall a good experience. Had some minor problems with a broken puzzle that took away immersion but if you’re in the area it’s a good room to do!
The Aurora SocietyDecode Detroit - YpsilantiEscape roomIRLOverall, this is a good escape room but not a great escape room. Some of the puzzles I felt did not fit the theme well. With a lot of multi-room experiences you can expect to spend somewhat the same amount of time in each room, but this is not true for this escape room. Also, I am not sure of this, but there were puzzles we did not do. Not sure if there are puzzles left out if you have a specific amount of people or what, but that left me confused. It’s a good room, but wouldn’t be my first recommendation.
Bonus Fun Time Game Show ChallengeEscape FactorEscape roomIRLEasily my favorite room that I’ve done at this location, a unique premise/theme that I enjoyed greatly. The puzzles were spot on and I think I did the room the whole time with a smile on my face because it was so fun! Wasn’t particularly the most high tech room, but it was great! I loved it a lot.

Ghost In The GraveyardEscape FactorEscape roomIRLThis room was interesting, there’s a lot more puzzles in this room than the other rooms at this location. My team of 2 always had something to work on, we felt like we got stuck a few more times than the other rooms we did. There was a nice wow moment - something I didn’t expect (but not in a scary way) but some of the puzzles I didn’t like. Overall a good room though!
The Vanishing ActLocurioEscape roomIRLOverall, a solid escape room. I prefer their other room over this one, but if you’re looking for an escape room I wouldn’t skip over this one! The story was a little under developed. Lots of puzzles to work on, so if you have a bigger team that will help. Mostly non-linear. Some puzzles did not fit completely in the theme but nothing felt so far off that I was taken out of the immersion. Game master was great! Set was good, but nothing mind blowing. Don’t regret going, had a great time!
The StorykeeperLocurioEscape roomIRLOverall - a great room I would recommend to anyone! Excellent decor and actors were great. The clue giving was clever. The only thing I didn’t like about the room was that it was mostly linear and there would be some tight spaces if you had more than 4 people. Would recommend if you are in the Seattle area!
Whatever Happened To The Garretts?Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLWhatever Happened to the Garrets is a fun escape room. Kind of an average theme with some good Easter eggs if you enjoy 80’s pop culture. A very linear escape room, I would recommend less people if you are experienced, but overall not more than 5 people. The rooms inside of the escape room can be a bit small. Had some very interesting puzzles, ones I quite enjoyed. I wouldn’t play it again, but I would recommend it to people who haven’t done an escape room before.
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - PortageEscape roomIRLEscapology is a mixed bag - it’s a chain so each location is different. This room has been well loved at this location and this showed in the probs and decor. The saving grace of the room is the themeing, which was cute and adorable and made my inner child so happy to be helping Scooby Doo.
Budapest Express - CLOSEDEscapology - LansingEscape roomIRLA linear room, which I don’t like, but this room is worth doing purely because of the theme if and the props. Such a great use of props! It felt like I was stepping on a train, even though moments ago I was just in a hallway.
7 Deadly SinsEscapology - PortageEscape roomIRLIn my opinion - this is the weakest room at this location. 7 Deadly Sins is supposed to be the hardest room at this location and I truly believe it is the hard one because they added puzzles in which you have to make leaps of logic and assumptions.
The ElevatorMichigan Escape Room - Washington TwpEscape roomIRLOne of my favorite rooms - you split your team into two and communicate to solve puzzles in a rocking elevator. A very cool idea executed very well. The story was a bit vague, but I was very immersed in the story, so I can forgive that.

Plays into the theme so well and most of the puzzles were unique and fit. There were a few surprises in the room that I didn’t expect - which was awesome! My favorite room at this location.
