The first room was great and felt well planned, but the second room felt clunky and less intuitive. Cam and Camille were fantastic!! The staff MADE us a card to thank us for playing so many games during our trip! And that was incredible.
The CryptEscape Hour AustinEscape roomIRLThis was a really great room! I’m glad we got to do this on our trip to Austin for escape rooms. (We were very sad that The Cabin wasn’t open on Tuesdays because we were most excited about doing that series.)

The SubmarineEscape the Room - AlbuquerqueEscape roomIRLReally good room! (One of the only ones at this location that doesn’t have broken elements) It is very difficult, but very good. A good variety of puzzles ranging from locks to computer controls!

The fear factors were also varied- visual, auditory, interactive, and a few jump scares. The size of this room is surprising and impressive, and the clues come in such creative ways! Ok - now THIS is my favorite room in town!

Blackwell ManorNew Mexico Escape Room - McLeod LocationEscape roomIRLOne of my favorite rooms in all of Albuquerque! The set feels huge. Much of the story is linear, and while I usually prefer a more open adventure, this one was extremely well crafted. While I love a scary escape room, this was only medium-scary - perfect to drag along friends who are a little more mainstream!
House Of Eternal Return [Immersive Art]Meow WolfEscape roomOther IMHO, this is the best Meow Wolf experience! As it’s the original, there’s a deeper flavor of experimentation and exploration than the other locations. I’m sure much of that has to do with the smaller volume of people who go through Santa Fe, as opposed to the other cities. The concert venue is phenomenal- and I will ALWAYS make a point to see Beats Antique there, as they utilize the entire installation for a magical pre-show experience!
Escape JumanjiBust Out Escape Room - PaseoEscape roomIRLOne of the best I’ve done! Very immersive! The atmosphere was perfect and varied to align with different parts of the story. If you’ve ever wanted to actually play Jumanji, this is the closest you’ll get!
Omega Mart [Immersive Art]Meow WolfEscape roomOther I wouldn’t classify any of the Meow Wolf experiences as “escape rooms”; however, there ARE plenty of mysteries to solve and secret passages to discover! While “House of Eternal Return” is, IMHO, the best of them, Omega Mart is a very close second! While it feels more sterile, the storyline is more cohesive and engaging. Absolutely brilliant!

Almost all the puzzles rely on transliteration, not cleverness. Also, we were somewhat uncomfortable by the idea that we were playing grave robbers (who are directed by a German-sounding man wearing a vaguely military-styled uniform). 😬

Western Bank HeistEscape the Room - AlbuquerqueEscape roomIRLWe had a really fun time; however, this company will absolutely cram different groups of players together. Working with unfamiliar teammates was probably a bigger challenge than many of the puzzles.
