The Cabin 2.0
New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod Location
Escape room
IRL
We had so much fun!! The puzzles were varied and clever. The fear factors were also varied- visual, auditory, interactive, and a few jump scares. The size of this room is surprising and impressive, and the clues come in such creative ways! Ok - now THIS is my favorite room in town!
Blackwell Manor
New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod Location
Escape room
IRL
One of my favorite rooms in all of Albuquerque! The set feels huge. Much of the story is linear, and while I usually prefer a more open adventure, this one was extremely well crafted. While I love a scary escape room, this was only medium-scary - perfect to drag along friends who are a little more mainstream!
Escape Jumanji
Bust Out Escape Room - Paseo
Escape room
IRL
One of the best I’ve done! Very immersive! The atmosphere was perfect and varied to align with different parts of the story. If you’ve ever wanted to actually play Jumanji, this is the closest you’ll get!
House Of Eternal Return [Immersive Art]
Meow Wolf
Escape room

IMHO, this is the best Meow Wolf experience! As it’s the original, there’s a deeper flavor of experimentation and exploration than the other locations. I’m sure much of that has to do with the smaller volume of people who go through Santa Fe, as opposed to the other cities. The concert venue is phenomenal- and I will ALWAYS make a point to see Beats Antique there, as they utilize the entire installation for a magical pre-show experience!
Omega Mart [Immersive Art]
Meow Wolf
Escape room
Other
I wouldn’t classify any of the Meow Wolf experiences as “escape rooms”; however, there ARE plenty of mysteries to solve and secret passages to discover! While “House of Eternal Return” is, IMHO, the best of them, Omega Mart is a very close second! While it feels more sterile, the storyline is more cohesive and engaging. Absolutely brilliant!
Rattlesnake Bend
Bust Out Escape Room - Paseo
Escape room
IRL
Tons of sensors involved in this room, and everything worked really smoothly! The atmosphere is great, you feel like you’re in a small cowboy town; however, it also felt pretty sterile. There were very few decor elements that weren’t used in puzzle solving, so finding the clues felt pretty simple. Excellent theatrics though!
Camp Crystal Lake
Bust Out Escape Room - San Mateo
Escape room
IRL
This was so much fun! Just the right amount of scare along with great puzzles. I can see how some of the scare factors could slow down a team, but since it didn’t really affect us, we could have used a few more puzzles! The puzzles were fantastic, and the clues were truly clever!
Convergence Station [Immersive Art]
Meow Wolf

The Meow Wolf experience isn’t truly an “escape room,” but it IS full of mystery and discovery! The immersive art installation is truly beautiful and engaging. This is my least favorite of the three Meow Wolf locations I’ve visited. It’s almost too big in square footage, but too limited in interactive elements. More and more experience for the eyes, unless you’re feeling up for wrestling families who don’t know how to take turns.
Bombshell
New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod Location
Escape room

SO immersive! This room had an incredible story and the effects were amazing!! The puzzles weren’t too difficult, but the experience was a TON of fun!
Duel at Dusk
New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod Location
Escape room

Even though this was one of the easier rooms we’ve done, there were still some really inventive puzzles to solve. Lots of teamwork involved! Very immersive storyline and atmosphere!
