Robotopia
Omescape - Sunnyvale
Escape room
IRL
Fun room! Very intricate set design with challenging puzzles. I just wished my team agreed to ask for clues early on instead of trying to figure things out on our own (which is not bad, but clock is ticking!). Overall, very creative theme and storyline for an escape room, just not ... my favorite since I'm not into futuristic-themed escape rooms. And ... I think some of the puzzles in the room weren't working properly so that most definitely negatively affected our gameplay experience. Overall, it's great! It just didn't live up to its hype.

MindTrap Escape Room - Temecula
Escape room
IRL
One of the escape rooms with the best set design! π²π± I was in awe when I saw this room for the 1st time! Very beautiful with mutiple non-linear puzzles to keep your team going in under 60 minutes. I was just in a team of 2 and I was sooo shocked that we escaped. With the number of puzzles in that room that ranges from easy to medium to hard in difficulty, I was really expecting not to make it. Idk who is responsible for designing this room, but a huge props to them for blowing away people's minds. So creative, unique. πͺ Ohh and a quick tip for anyone wanting or planning to do this room soon: KNOW YOUR ANIMALS. ππ€£

Irvine School of Wizardry and the Goblin's Secrets
Hidden Donkey
Escape room
IRL
Hidden Donkey is one of the best escape rooms in OC! They currently only have 2 escape rooms, but I love both! I do prefer the other one over this escape room just because the other room had more puzzles and the puzzles were more intricate. BUT this one is definitely more theatrical. I can't wait what they have in store for us next! #teamslytherin π
The Last Supper
Quest Tavern
Escape room
IRL
One of my all time favorite escape rooms! Quest Tavern is simply the best. There staff is amazing, friendly, and accommodating! And they even let you dress up, how awesome is that? I love being immersed to the theme of the room. π Also, they have the goodest boy, Milo, who they allowed to partake in The Last Supper with Lord Garrick (Commander Snow) at the very end. It just made the overall experience so magical and enjoyable. ππ

You really have to do this room with people you're familiar with (close/good friends, family, etc.) Because communication is a huge part of puzzle solving and escaping the room. When I did this room, I did it with 3 other people I can communicate relatively well, and 2 others who I just met ... so go figure on what happened during the escape room. Communication was a huge issue, we almost didn't escape. The others tried as best as they can to coax the people who weren't too keen on talking to communicate with the rest of the team, but it was like pulling teeth because we can't physically help solve puzzles in the room. So that was my biggest tip to successfully escape this room, bring people who are good at communicating and are determined to escape. π
The Bridge Between
Quest Tavern
Escape room
IRL
A masterpiece! A truly amazingly designed escape room with puzzles that are well-thought out. Very cute storyline too. π€ The only downside was that I could barely hear the hints/clues from the GM (maybe it has something do with my difficulties of listening to high pitched voice with certain accents) BUT overall, very well done room. ππΌ

My favorite escape room at Hidden Donkey! I even wore my entire Slytherin uniform set so I could totally immerse myself in the theme. Everything is just 10/10. π #teamslytherin π
Winnie The Pooh
MindTrap Escape Room - Murrieta
Escape room
IRL
I do NOT care what anyone says, BUT this was the best party I've ever attended and one of the cutest escape rooms ever! C'mon, you're preparing a surprise for Pooh bear because it's his bday, how cute is that? The set design created the perfect atmosphere, vibe, and ambiance that makes one really feel like as if you're in Hundred Acre woods. Ohh, and the floating Pooh bear was sooo cute! ππ₯Ή Everyone just have to do this for the experience. You won't regret it, and if you do, you may be an Eeyore. π€ The puzzles were very doable ... nothing crazy, very cute and family-friendly. ππ§Έ
The Attraction
Palace Games
Escape room
IRL
Ahh, this room was like a labyrinth! π² Very cool production, unique storyline, and not at all what I was expecting. π Tbh, it was not my cup of tea. Some of the "games" were so repetitive, and so I think there may be some malfunctioning happening. Also, I wanted to feel the sense of more urgency in terms of finding clues and solving puzzles and ... this did not give me that. It was still fun, but it didn't live up to the hype that people built up for me. I really hope I get to do the other escape rooms at Palace of Fine Arts because I heard those ones are more like your typical escape rooms which I very much prefer.
Haunting at Haruka High
Omescape - Sunnyvale
Escape room

Very scary room and perhaps one of the biggest one I've ever had the pleasure of doing! The puzzles weren't too hard, but I was paralyzed with fear which affected my problem-solving abilities. π π€£ I was honestly surprised my friend and I escaped (by the skin of our teeth). ππ£ Our GM (Allen) was fun and helpful! I'll most definitely come back to do more.
