The Asylum: Playtime
Lost Games
Escape room
IRL
This room was so memorable. It might be one of my favorites I've done. We did the Asylum rooms back to back, which I recommend if you're up for it. But it is difficult with just 2 players and we only had a couple minutes to spare when we got out. The setup for the room is amazing and the way "hints" or info is given is awesome. Such an immersive room. This one is spookier than the 1st chapter, and in the best way. The awards this room has received are well earned.

I feel like we did this room on an "off" day, so I won't give it a full thumbs down. The GM didn't setup any backstory for us before we headed in. The excessive use of prerecorded announcements in the room actually broke the immersion and made the room feel dated. There were some cool effects and the scenery was great, but figuring out what was a puzzle and what was decor felt clunky. It was hard to know what we should be working on next.

This room felt like it was going to be short and then turned into so much more! I could see why people would run out of time assuming it was nearly over when it's not. The puzzles were challenging enough that it took some problem solving to work out. It's a linear room, so smaller numbers are better in it. But it felt so immersive and just kept getting cooler. The ending is so worth it, too.
Resurrection
Quest Room - Redondo Beach
Escape room
IRL
Linear escape room with more interaction and story than puzzles. It has quite a few jump scars, but the anticipation of them was worse than the moments themselves. It also had humorous, silly moments that helped break the tension.

The setup and the hint interaction is great. The gameplay is nonlinear, and there is so much to do. It was difficult as we only had 2 people and we BARELY got out. I would recommend at least 3 people, 4 might be better for this room. But it was so fun and immersive.
Heretics [prev. Bloody Elbow]
Quest Room - Koreatown
Escape room

This room was so fun. It felt more Immersive than other rooms because you don't have to stick to the usual "rules" of conventional escape rooms. It felt like you actually had to escape versus just solving puzzles.
