女王と国のために [For Queen & Country]Studio Escape NipponbashiEscape roomIRLAs the owners are originally from UK, the rooms are catered for both Japanese and English language, and it is smooth. The hosts are great and very helpful. This room and all the other rooms within Studio Escape are one of the best I've ever played. The stories are compelling, and the decoration are top class. The price of the rooms are high, but these rooms still gets my highest recommendation!
ExtractionThe Curium ExperienceEscape roomIRLI will just echo what others have said, this is probably the most advanced escape room in Melbourne, and highly recommend it.

Australia's Original Escape RoomEscape Room Melbourne - ERMEscape roomIRLThis was my very first escape room and set my love for escape rooms! Walked towards the backyard and saw the mother in the living room watching TV surrounded by books. I initially thought we had to play around her as she watches haha, but the real room was actually in the old garage. Would highly recommend especially for first timers or beginners!
The Crumbling Prince - Episode 2UkiyoEscape roomIRLEnjoyable but still preferred Episode 1. This one felt more like Episode 1a rather than Episode 2 to be honest. Apparently they have plans to create a number of Episode (5+?), but this was mentioned almost 10 years ago so I think that plan is out the window.
Dragon’s DungeonEscape Artistz Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI am very surprised to see this room rated so highly. It was basic at best. The GM just lets us in without saying a word, so we have no clue what this story is about. Apparently we are in a dungeon, however the walls and floor were just painted with one colour and had no texture. Props were simple, and we could even hear the other room next door clearly.
FlushedLeft Behind The Great Escape - Circuit X MakatiEscape roomIRLThe story matches well with the decor of the room, and you feel compelled to progress the story. There is flow, and some parts are frustrating puzzles that you kick yourself when you finally solve it. The best kind of puzzle in my opinion. They make use of the room quite well, and feels larger than what it really is.
Ever AfterBreakout Philippines - Shangri-La PlazaEscape roomIRLThis room had some simple puzzles but effective enough. The decoration is a bit mixed quality, and while there is a theme to the decorations, the story line was a bit of a stretch to follow. The props were acceptable, but some were falling apart.
The Haunted HouseThe Mystery Rooms - MelbourneEscape roomIRLCreepy af, but enjoyable. The rooms here are created with care and they all intertwine with one another in the end. Would recommend.
Alien AssaultMystery Manila - Century City MallEscape roomIRLMy opinion is that you should start players with an easy or straightforward puzzle to help start off, or some sort of storyline. I spent the first few minutes to find out what the first step was, and when it was found, it was a little unusual. However as you progress, it starts to slowly make sense. The props were great, and they made use of the puzzles quite well. There is a lot of electronic puzzles but what can you expect being on a spaceship. And they at least tie up the story at the end, which some rooms forget to do.
The Last StationLeft Behind The Great Escape - Vertis North X Quezon CityEscape roomIRLThis was actually surprisingly enjoyable. The ambience was good and did enough to 'transport' you to a different location. The puzzles remained on theme, and instructions were relatively straight forward, except for one which involved an electronical puzzle. I have a love/hate relationship with electronic puzzles and this one tested me. Apart from that, I would recommend this room over the others at this location.
Pym ParticleMystery Manila - Century City MallEscape roomIRLA simple concept but well executed, one of my more memorable escape rooms in Manila. They make use of the puzzles as much as they can, without making it feel too overused. Would recommend as it is a little unique compared to other escape rooms.
The HideoutLeft Behind The Great Escape - Vertis North X Quezon CityEscape roomIRLThere is a bit of variety with the puzzles, and it does stick to the theme quite well. As with some puzzles, interpreting the task is as challenging as the task itself, which is a sign they could improve them. There is a large amount of space to move around, so would be easy for larger groups. The 'decoration' of an abandoned warehouse is fitting, whether it was on purpose or not, as you can see the walls are bare concrete. Overall, they did just enough to make it adequately enjoyable.
The MinesLeft Behind The Great Escape - Circuit X MakatiEscape roomIRLWhile I generally shy away from creepy rooms, this one drew me in due to the subtlety. Suffice to say, it did meet the expectations and I would recommend you bring someone who can be brave. This room was quite enjoyable, although we ran out of time due to the amount of puzzles and fidgety of certain puzzles. I would highly recommend having a team of at least 3 or 4 and split up tasks, and is almost impossible to complete as solo.
Tragedy On The TrainMystery Manila - EastwoodEscape roomIRLYou take the role of a detective and have to investigate a murder on the train. I actually am starting to really like train themed rooms, however this one felt a little too plain and small. The decorations were there but I wished there were more. This was a little unique experience as once you finish the room, you are asked to use the evidence collected, and determine who the killer was.
Space BetweenBreakout Philippines - Shangri-La PlazaEscape roomIRLUnfortunately this was not enjoyable. Like others have said, the puzzles did not flow well, and there is no indication on what we were trying to accomplish. The tasks had little to do with the story, so it was hard to know what to do next. Also, we tried to ask for a hint, but they ignored us in the cameras for 10-15minutes (there was no walkie talkie). The props were decent though.
The Old HauntStrike Glen WaverleyEscape roomIRLQuite immersive and the props were done pretty well. There is a good balance between locks and electronic puzzles, but generally didn't feel too 'technical' and draw you out of the the theme. Would recommend for those starting out. The theme is supposed to be scary, but it didn't feel that scary.
