The Weeping WitchCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThe Weeping Witch was my nickname in college. This is by far my favorite horror escape room, and it might have cracked my overall top 5 as well. So much in this room is right. I screamed, I laughed, and pretty much felt everything else in between. This is one of those things i’m going to wish I could do again for the first time, and i’ll be thinking about just how awesome this game is for a long time!

Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLEscape Ventures slays, that’s all they do! This game knocked it out of the park- it was an awesome experience from beginning to end and they always bring it with their top notch friendly staff. I really enjoyed interacting with the actor, and the puzzles were not too overly complicated but they were still interesting and helped bring cohesion to the environment while adding to the story of the room. TL;DR- Please play this room!
Escape JumanjiBust Out Escape Room - PaseoEscape roomIRLThis was an awesome experience! I loved all of the beats of the game itself. I enjoyed the natural progression of the room through “playing the game,” as it created a sense of urgency to finish before the time ran out. While some of the puzzles weren’t the strongest, the sheer amount of things to do within this room is pretty astounding. By far, the set design was my favorite part of this room. Really awesome use of special effects and room design to keep me constantly guessing what happened next! I With only three of us, we had to HUSTLE, divide, and conquer in order to get out, but for excellent communicators or a well seasoned team y’all should be just okay!
The Missing SeasonSteal and EscapeEscape roomIRLEvery now and then, you encounter a game that goes a little beyond the threshold of what makes a really good game an incredible game, and The Missing Season absolutely exudes that special quality. The experience as a whole is wonderful. All five senses are utilized in this room, and they’re all taken on a journey. I kept finding myself getting excited with each new step as we progressed through this very carefully crafted experience. From the superb story beats, to the unique puzzles that utilized technology I haven’t seen before in escape rooms, to the excellent narration that reminded me of a cross between the Stanley Parable and Superliminal— Steal and Escape should not be slept on. This venue packs a HUGE punch, with some of the nicest and most wonderful customer service and game masters in the business. I can’t wait to come back and see what they have in store next.

I’ve never played a game quite like Mad Rapper, and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to anytime soon. With theming grounded in rap/music production, I loved all of the avenues that the puzzles explored. Special mention to the original soundtrack that kept me moving and head-bobbing the whole time. Lastly, I want to shoutout the wonderful people who ran our room, they made our experience very special. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
