The Starlight MotelEscape Artist Greenville - DowntownEscape roomIRLStarlight Motel was a great blend of actor interactions, horror, and puzzling. Smaller but detailed sets, real running, and jump scares. Plus, puzzles? š± scary good time!

The Chimera Corp SagaEscape Artist Greenville - Hampton StationEscape roomIRLEach game of the Chimera Corp saga was so different, but together was a great experience. From a fairytale castle to a nightmare, to the dream facility, each chapter shined a little light onto the inner workings of Chimera Corp. Actor interactions, fairytale whimsy, and moments of pure joy abound. This journey was a beautiful and terrifying dive into the world of dreams.
Heresy: 1897Doors of DivergenceEscape roomIRLHeresy as a stand-alone experience isnāt an amazing game, and some artifacts in the room need to be ignored. But Doors of Divergence games really shine on replay, expanding what you thought you knew into something completely different. Play through each game twice, and watch the story unfold. š
NevermoreNocturne AdventuresEscape roomIRLAfter playing so many rooms, itās rare to find escapes that make you pause for a moment and appreciate just how well crafted an experience is. This room had multiple such moments. Attention to detail, puzzle flow and atmosphere are just great. An absolute must play for any enthusiast.

Madness: 1917Doors of DivergenceEscape roomIRLHereās where the divergence starts to show. Story choices made in Heresy begin to affect the story in Madness. Not just subtle changes either, the whole dynamic and reasoning behind certain events are twisted. Beginning and ending in two completely separate place allow divergences to really shine through. Play each game twice, and be enlightened.
A Twist Of OzKey to EscapeEscape roomIRLA Twist of Oz was a great game. It was the first room we planned on our Carolinas trip, and they were so kind in allowing us to start a little bit later. Key to Escape is located in a historic church, actually on the national register of historic places. We had to solve a puzzle just to open the door too, which was a nice intro. The game itself was a joy to experience. Clever puzzle design, fantastic game flow and great clueing. We never felt lost or were unsure of what to do. It was a smaller space, but didnāt feel crowded. A real homemade game thatās just so satisfying to solve, in an amazing location. Add this to your Carolinas itinerary, Iām just sad we didnāt have time to play both rooms.
Madness: 1917 Chapter 2-4Doors of DivergenceEscape roomIRLPlaying through Madness again was probably my favorite experience. We could really appreciate each individual storyline and explore exactly how each action led to further things. Choices are carried forward from Heresy, and Madness really allowed those choices to fracture off into unique divergences. Wondrous.

Alice in WonderlandEscape Games La QuintaEscape roomIRLOne thing Iāve noticed that Escape Games La Quinta does well is puzzles. The puzzles at this location are no slouch, and this game is no exception. A mark of good puzzle design is knowing exactly what to do and figuring out how to do it. One of the puzzles in here fit that description to a T. I understand this puzzle isnāt for everyone, but it was a joy to learn the mechanics and solve. An easy standout puzzle for this location. More difficult puzzling, thoughtful use of sound.
Mutiny: Skull IslandEscape Games at the RiverEscape roomIRLMy favorite room at Escape Games at the River. Fun set traversal, cool effects and an awesome time for all. EndangeredEscape Games at the RiverEscape roomIRLEndangered was a great multilinear puzzle fest. Many, many puzzles, differing in difficulty and scale. Good puzzles flow, and an awesome final reveal!
Tomb Raiders: Scepter Of EgyptEscape Games at the RiverEscape roomIRLVery difficult puzzles. We felt lost at times, figuring out what to do. Some puzzles felt as though they were not the most intuitive, but we managed to power through. Simpler space and set. A puzzle heavy room. Bring your A game!
