The Missing ToymakerHuddys Escape - OcalaEscape roomIRLSome rooms have great theming but subpar puzzles. Some rooms have great puzzles but the story needs work. This room was lacking on both accounts. This room was filled with toys, which should be fun, but the ambient lighting was so dark you couldn’t see the letters and numbers on the locks. I know the owner does not like to leave note pads or flashlights in his rooms, but this one is next to impossible in the lighting conditions provided. I’ve done several escape rooms that had me wanting more, but I think this takes the cake as “most frustrating escape room ever.” If you are an escape room enthusiast, like me, wanting to scratch the itch, I’d advise you to do literally anything else.
Cornstalkers: Lost in the MaizeThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLEscape Ventures is unmatched. This was our fourth room here and it was fantastic like all the others. Caiden, our game master, did a great job and even spent a few minutes showing us behind the scenes which was greatly appreciated. This is a horror room with a live actor so be prepared.
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLThis was our third room at Escape Ventures and it was fantastic. The game masters here are the best and contribute to the immersive experience. In this 90 minute room, we were very impressed at the size/scale of the place- so many different rooms in just one game! Highly recommend.
SOSEscape Boats - DublinEscape roomIRLThis unique room is a must-do. We have done about 55 escape rooms in the United States and this one was a stand out. Several unique puzzles we’ve never seen before - and the atmosphere of being on a boat is unmatched. Eoghan was a fantastic game master.
ConvictsEscape Boats - DublinEscape roomIRLVery fun room. Requires you to split into two groups to start and the two groups do not ever join back up, so it is basically two separate rooms running side by side.
SubmersionConundrum Escape Rooms - LakewoodEscape roomIRLVisited on 8/8/25 - we had a good time but two puzzles were broken which made for an unceremonious ending to the room. Our game master was very kind and apologetic. She even offered to give us a partial refund which was very kind!
Cows in SpaceTeam Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room is a must-do. I can’t wait to go back and do the rest of their rooms. The theming, attention to detail, design, and story were top notch! We laughed out loud at several points - the clues were so clever. The rooms designers clearly put a lot of effort into this novel room. I’ve done 40+ rooms and this was one of my favorites.
The Candy Shop – Afterhours - CLOSEDHuddys Escape - OcalaEscape roomIRLThis room is on its way out at Huddy’s and for good reason. It is only one room with an anticlimactic ending. This is a pass for experienced escape room players.
The BunkerJust EscapedEscape roomIRLKevin (the owner) is the best! This was our final room we completed at Just Escaped. It is the hardest room there - I would do all the other rooms there before this room. The room was very fun with several novel elements.
Saving Santa - CLOSEDEscapology - GainesvilleEscape roomIRLThis room is best suited for families and children. The gameplay is not particularly novel. It would be a lot of fun for children - less so for escape room enthusiasts seeking a challenge. We used it as a chance to try and set a record on an easy room 😊

Possession At Haddon HeightsThe Bureau Adventure GamesEscape roomIRLUse of flashlights slows gameplay down so a not-so-hard escape room takes a little longer. Several interesting/novel uses of tech/puzzles. As always at the bureau, the set/props are extremely well made. Scary! Not my favorite at the bureau though.
Robot RebellionThe Bureau Adventure GamesEscape roomIRLKnow that this is an adventure room and not an escape room. You play games/complete tasks for a set amount of time and then are moved on to the next one. It just wasn’t that fun- we got bored quickly with each activity. Other rooms at the bureau are excellent - try those instead.
