The Sins of Doctor FaustusCaptivating WorldsEscape roomIRLFrom the story to the set to the puzzles to the owners/GM, everything was perfection! It’s challenging, immersive and you can tell the time, love and care that went into building the experience. Cant recommend enough!
The Barnyard WindsCaptivating WorldsEscape roomIRLDefinitely recommend! Owners are so welcoming and kind, and the GMs are attentive and showed genuine interest in ensuring we had the best game experience possible. The theme is very cute and unique, and the set design and puzzles fit perfectly.
Neighborhood WatcherThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLWe came to complete the rest of the games at this location, and they did not disappoint with this one! Cierra was our gm and truly made the experience special . From the story to the theme to the set and right down to the clue system, the immersion, commitment, creativity and evident passion for creating an unforgettable experience from both Cierra and the game designer is what makes this room a must-do. The “total package” of this room takes the immersion factor to another level. If you’re thinking about it, just book!
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - Orlando Waterford LakesEscape roomIRLUnique puzzles, theme and story that is well thought out and designed- which is a combination that is hard to come by! Flows well, makes sense and is the perfect balance of challenging and simply fun. And the team at TEV is just as fun and as the games! Elle was our gm and, from start to finish, made us feel like we were truly stuck in a storm, but also ensured we had a blast!
Hide + SeekThe Escape WarehouseEscape roomIRLCannot recommend this game and this business enough! Their rooms definitely moved into our top 5 rooms (and we had done 13th gate on this trip as well!). Immersive doesn’t begin to describe the set, it’s about as real life as you can get! There are surprises around each corner that keep upping the ante! Puzzles are challenging and well laid out. Just go…you will not regret it!!
Unidentified: The Case of Mystery Gates Theme Park - CLOSEDThe Escape WarehouseEscape roomIRLLike their other game, this one is definitely in the top! Fun theme with a well designed set- there’s definitely more than one element that we’ve never seen before! Again, can’t say enough good things about Escape Warehouse! Owner and our GM were AMAZING! Our only complaint is that there’s only 2 games…they left us craving more!! This escape room alone is 1000% worth a trip to Louisiana!!
Tiki IslandEscape The NetherworldEscape roomIRLUnique set and storyline, moderately challenging puzzles. The room itself was a lot of fun and we’d probably recommend and possibly do the rest of the games. I do agree with another reviewer that the music is very loud in the room. Will note a few things about the overall experience. They didn’t have games available to schedule on Thursday or Friday during the day- the website says to call or email to book. We both called and emailed multiple times asking to attempt to book all the rooms, with no response at all (not even after we actually did the room and we knew people were there working- and still no response a week later). Because of the no response we ended up just doing one room. Also, found it a little odd that they took our photo and then tried to sell it to us at the end….
Tomb Of Anubis13th Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLJust disappointed. Agree that the production value of this (and all their rooms) is top notch- they have a ton of space and use it well, and put a lot of money and effort into the sets. But the overall experience is just lacking- the puzzles are thoughtful and “techy” enough, but nothing impressive or novel. It feels very high volume- the staff is nice, but it’s like they’re ushering you through and going through steps. Having traveled to New Orleans specifically for these rooms, it just didn’t live up to the hype.
AsylumTrapped In The Upstate - GreerEscape roomIRLStopped here on a road trip and are glad we did! GMs were accommodating and flexible (we had booked a different room, but after they asked our experience level, allowed us to swap to a more difficult room). Good set design and challenging puzzles. Starting in the straight jackets wasn’t creepy at all and did add to the immersion factor :). Will definitely return when we can to do the other rooms!
The RooftopEnter Locked Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLCute game, great set and fun puzzles! The owners here are passionate about their business and it shows! They were a joy to chat with and we enjoyed playing the rooms. Would definitely return to do the rest!
Agent 1313th Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLIt somewhat pains me to write this…but after playing all the games here, 13th Gate seems highly overrated. This game in particular was a disappointment. Multiple puzzles not working, the GM didn’t know how to operate/explain some of the puzzles and ended up just turning one off to get us through it. Truly felt like we were just trapped in this room and couldn’t wait for it to end. The set wasn’t terrible, and while not a unique concept we can see where they tried some new spins. But overall, just disappointed.
Subway EscapeEscape Room PittsburghEscape roomIRLLOVED this game! The set design was incredible and immersive. Puzzles made sense, flowed well and were challenging. This definitely made it into our top list and was our favorite room here!
Create A Clone - CLOSEDBold Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFavorite room here! Flowed well, the theme was unique and the room was well decorated/designed. There was a puzzle or two that required some “nudges”, which for enthusiasts can be frustrating if you can’t get through the room without help, but overall very enjoyable and challenging. Would definitely recommend!
Bring Back the 80s - CLOSEDBold Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLVery cool room! There were some technical difficulties, but the GMs were absolutely wonderful and worked hard to fix it so we could complete the game! Theme is fun, room is immersive and puzzles make sense. Overall enjoyable, would definitely recommend!
The Study - CLOSEDPuzzle Room PittsburghEscape roomIRLOur favorite room of the 3 we did at this location! Flows nicely, feels well thought out. Would definitely recommend to enthusiasts.
Escape The UndeadPuzzle Room PittsburghEscape roomIRLSet design and attention to detail was incredible and made it immersive. Puzzles were interesting and cool tech, but it didn’t flow well…it felt like you wouldn’t be able to do the room without timed “nudges” from the GM.
Who killed Bugsy Marlowe?Great Scott EscapesEscape roomIRLFun game! We were in the area on vacation and decided to check it out, and we’re glad we did! Puzzles were thoughtful, GM was friendly and overall game was setup well. Would recommend!
