I do wish the storyline was explained a bit better, didn’t exactly follow it or piece everything together after the fact. 9/10 overall and will go back for the other room based on this experience.

We admittedly could have been more on top of one or two of the puzzles, so I don’t want our not escaping to skew the review. Two pieces didn’t function during gameplay, and it wasn’t noticed until asked about. The game didn’t seem to flow well. One puzzle’s instructions were very clunky and unclear to read through. One clue given when asked for was to “solve the puzzle to get the lock open.” It was a rough experience overall.

Amazing environment. I’m not a big horror fan, and kind of timid regarding scary, but it was manageable as it didn’t have jump scares, but was consistently eerie. I was shocked at how cohesive it was for the length and amount of rooms and puzzles.

One puzzle really stumped my group and the nudge/ clue given wasn’t really helpful for a while. Communication was also lacking from the game master as two puzzles had been solved but was unclear to us, and one of those wasn’t even mentioned until after the game. We had two clue requests go unanswered, which was surprising as we’ve loved this location and the other two experiences and rooms we’ve played here. We were thankful to get extra time to play through the last two or three puzzles. Overall an interesting an immersive room that we just had a few moderate issues with.

And the broken puzzle was really frustrating only because it was not mentioned. Also a 30 min room goes by so fast. Finishing in under 20 min is surprisingly less immersive than a 60 min room. But overall did enjoy it

Decently difficult while not being over the top or unfathomable to finish in the hour. There was a video sequence that went on for too long (over a minute I’d guess) that didn’t give any further information.

A Study in Yellow - CLOSEDBaker Street Escapes - MidtownEscape roomIRLOverall was a decent experience. Very immersive with great decor. Not too many locks. Gamemaster (owner?) was very kind at the end. Had 1 lock that failed to open, and it took us waving them down to ask about it for them to notice. We could also hear the staff or others very audibly over the tops of the walls. There was quite a lot of additional materials that are present in the game that aren’t actually used, more than I have experienced elsewhere.
