If you’re looking for a fun interactive escape room to “amp” things up, Rockstar is the one for you! We had such a great time from beginning to end, and you can definitely tell that a lot of heart and rock-n-rolling went into the creation of this escape room. Going into this, we knew that this room would be challenging, especially with the amount of players that we had (2), but we were up for it! I would rate this escape room as medium or hard, depending on your skill level and confidence. You don’t necessarily have to be musically inclined or have prior music experience to enjoy this escape room, but if you are, this would be perfect for you! You will appreciate the musical references in this room. I completed this room with another person, and I admit that it was challenging (but in a good way) as there were A LOT of puzzles to complete within the space that it was played. There was never a dull moment because this room was packed with puzzles, surprises, and a-ha moments. No puzzle was ever the same, which is what I really enjoyed! I would recommend 3-4 players for this room because it’s bi-linear and the physical space itself was pretty large as well. Having more minds in the space would be helpful in accomplishing your mission as a team, and this escape room truly forces you to communicate and work as a team in multiple facets. Overall, this was one of my favorite escape rooms at Cityscape because it just had the perfect amount of everything. From the puzzles, the props, the gameplay, the set design, we loved everything about this room. We had about 5 more puzzles to complete, but our Game Master allowed us to finish, and we truly had a great time! Know that you don’t need to be a talented rockstar to play, Rockstar. Just go out there and DO IT, and show them what you’re made of! You won’t be disappointed in this escape room!
We really enjoyed the game play! Because this escape room is multi-linear, you have the chance to divide and conquer, or work together on each puzzle thread. Each puzzle itself was so unique and different from one another, and had a mixture of complexities, easiness, and challenges, all at the same time. There were multiple a-ha moments throughout, and we absolutely loved the Reveal at the end!
Daniel the Owner did a really great job at immersing you in the story of “Rockstar.” With the space that was given, you are immersed through the props, the set design, the furniture, the puzzles, and so much more. Every objects was utilized in some way or form and was beautifully crafted into the atmosphere of being backstage at a rock concert.
We had Daniel, who is the owner of Cityscape Games, as our Game Master! I love Daniel, and I would highly recommend having Daniel as your GM! His way of storytelling and being in character made our escape room even more immersive. He was very attentive to our needs, was very patient, and had a great sense of humor. We were fortunate enough to talk to him afterwards about Rockstar, the design of it, and so forth. We totally geeked out with him! Once again, highly, highly recommend Daniel as your Game Master!

Every prop worked perfectly and smoothly. They were all well-taken care of and none of the props were damaged.
