72 escape rooms
βTheyβve got no strings on me!β Words cannot describe how much fun this room was to play! To those of you who are new to βscaryβ themed escape rooms, this would be the perfect one for you. What this escape room does well is the smooth blending of puzzles with the experience of a live actor and the integration of puzzles within storytelling. I would describe this as more of an experience than your typical escape room, but this is what makes it more interactive and exhilarating! There is a live actor, but the most the actor will do is physically move/place you. He will never drag or engage in full contact play like other escape rooms will. After coming from Krampus (the Christmas version of Zoe Reborn at Escapades), Pinocchio is very tame in comparison. If youβre looking for a fun starter to a scary escape room, go play Pinocchio! It will leave you laughing, running, and wanting more!
The gameplay was a lot of fun to interact with. It was very linear but had a lot of fun parts with it. Once again, I would describe this more as an experience than your typical escape room because of the decreased number of puzzles, but the pressure to complete the puzzles is heightened due to the fear factor of Gepetto walking balances out the limited puzzles to solve.
The set design was impressive and creative! With the physical space that this escape room had, they did a great job at making you feel like you were immersed in the story of Pinocchio. From the background music and sounds, the creakiness of the floors, and the dim lighting, you were a puppet on the run!
We had Matt and Ross, and they were both AMAZING Game Masters! They made the experience so much fun, interactive, and just plain funny! What I loved too was the hint system because it was perfectly intertwined with the atmosphere of Pinocchio and blended well with the tasks that you needed to complete. Very helpful, humorous, and interactive.
