Black DragonEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLOverall, I have mixed feelings about this game. A lot of the puzzles were not reset correctly and so it caused a lot of confusion. Plus, two of the puzzles were broken and so it caused even more confusion. One of my biggest pet peeves with an escape room though is when someone says “most people need a hint with this puzzle” which basically means the logic of the puzzle is too messy for people to piece together. If that’s the case, revisit the puzzle and make changes. I’m glad I did the room, but four people minimum is needed. Also, the room is VERY busy and a lot of unnecessary features.

The Mush Room - CLOSEDEscape Room 66 - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLFrom the brilliant minds of Escape Room 66 comes their next masterpiece in innovative, whimsical, and flat out extraordinary. The Mush Room takes the classic “old gen” escape room and gives it a much newer and fresher feel. Tuesday is obviously the greatest and it helps. From the set design to the sheer difficulty of puzzles, the room will keep you rockin and rolling for the entire duration of your stay. Please do yourself a favor and go and play the Mush Room (alongside Inksidious which is just another gem.) Easy to say that Escape Room 66 is becoming such a powerhouse of a company in the LA area.
The Hex RoomCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLOverall such a solid room. I do wish the game was a little bit harder to be honest. With it being such a unique experience, having each person have a few more puzzles would make this game even better! Niko, our amazing game master, you were such a delight. For a game only having a 20% escape rate and a 5% survival rate- I wasn’t expecting us to have everyone get out AND survive. I would highly recommend this room to the escape addicts out there. If you’re easily scared- this room is definitely more mind over matter. Recommend only doing the room with 6 people.
The Fun HouseCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWhat a cute little game. Definitely a tad bit easy, but very very amusing. Our group flew through the game and even spent about 15 minutes just admiring the decor while stuck on one puzzle- and we still had almost 20 minutes left when we got out.
Inksidious - CLOSEDEscape Room 66 - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLWhat. A. Room. Easily this room has become a Top 5. Not because Tuesday is just an amazing game master it’s because the production value, puzzles and overall feel of this room are amazing. Completely unique, puzzle forward and just the right amount of difficult. Tuesday did an AMAZING job. Go and do this room!!! You will not regret it.
Prison BreakEscape Room 66 - Laguna HillsEscape roomIRLEscape Room 66 has become a new fan favorite! From the great atmosphere, that starts the moment you walk in the door with the owners to the minute you walk out the door, you are immersed. If you’ve not taken the time to play these rooms or get to know Taylor (or Tuesday at the LA location) you are missing out. These rooms are great for everyone of all ages and make you put your brain ON! Just a purely passionate room designed by a delightfully talented group of individuals. It’s fun to be able to play the game of someone so creative and limitless. You will not be dissatisfied. A bonafide grand room.
AvalancheMaze Rooms - Robertson BlvdEscape roomIRLOverall, a solid room. One part is definitely something that makes you go WOAH! And different than other rooms out there. The team does wish there were a few more puzzles, but otherwise, a good play. For those that don’t like scary, I would say this room might air on a little bit of the eerie side to it. There will also naturally need to be one brave solider, but overall, it’s fine. That’s the one important note to future players.
The Heist - CLOSEDThe Escape Game - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLOverall it was an amazing room! It was a little frustrating that we asked for no nudges unless it’s something completely obvious that maybe we didn’t notice- like a door opening for example that maybe we didn’t notice. What happens, a door opens and we walked around for 15 minutes not understanding! It was quite annoying, especially since we were going so quick and actually gave them the example! They also mentioned that another puzzle is so particular that if not done perfectly precise, it won’t trigger - if that is the case and it’s a brand new game, it should be fixed! The other issue is that these games are public and can hold up to 8 people. Huge issue on this as 1) there is not enough things to do for 8 people 2) the rooms are physically not big enough for 8 people. I can’t believe that they offer these rooms as public, especially when they will allow late entries to your game after it starts. HUGE issue with that. They offer to book the game private, but it will double your price and is totally not worth it. These games are only worth it if you have your core group and they don’t let other people join. It really ruins the experience and becomes a waste of money.

Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLOverall a really fun game. I can’t imagine 8 people being allowed to do this at one time - especially if you don’t know the other people. The room is just not big enough. It seems to be a reoccurring theme with this location. This room can hold a maximum of 6 people. Puzzle wise, no more than maybe even 5. Haven’t done all the rooms at this location, but it seems that most of their rooms can only hold about 6 people max. Not worth the money if you get put with other people or have to book the private room. The cost does not balance out the amount of gameplay. Otherwise a fun room and would recommend.

From the moment we stepped foot in the game, it was a magical mystical ball of fun from start to finish. Unique puzzles and fun times throughout. I think the story needs a littttlleeeee fine tuning and some of the puzzles, particularly the higher tech ones, need to be fixed to make sure they are clear and work, but overall amazing! Highly highly recommend. A very rare instance upon leaving and thinking wow, that was pure fun!
Amnesia - CLOSEDQuest Room - Culver CityEscape roomIRLI really had to sit and think about my review for this one to make sure it was as honest and as non-biased as I possibly could make it. This room is not spooky, this room is scary- in what actual world is this room classified as not scary? My team was sold on this room being not scary at all and a comedic “thriller.” That is not the case. If you do not like scary, the dark, or being alone, do NOT do this room. It caused one of our teammates to have a panic attack, the rest of us to be on the brink of a panic attack and the crew of quest room didn’t really do much to help us out- and it was not appreciated. The intended twist at the end was fun, we didn’t experience it because we ended the game, but getting to that point was not fun. Also- I’m not really sure what all the “puzzles” everyone keeps talking about. We didn’t really solve any puzzles, it was more of a “I need this for that, let’s do that” and less of a riddle or actual puzzle. I really had high hopes for this game, but we were kind of bamboozled by what the sold expectation was and what we got. I hate leaving a review like this because if you love scary things, by all means, but we know our lane and they hoodwinked us.

Definitely for the escape fans who just love to solve puzzles and then solve some more and keep solving. We started the game on the medium difficulty with the notion that if we are doing well, to increase the difficulty, which the game master did almost immediately. It’s a very fun room and can’t wait to see what new rooms brain games release!
Vegas Heist - Casino Themed RoomExit Artists Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLOverall it wasn’t a bad room. It definitely needed some updating with some of the puzzles not working properly. A little upsetting when you’re paying $50 plus per person for this room. Didn’t feel worth the price. It’s hard for me to say like, but also hard for me to say you didn’t like. I can see how this room would be great!
Wrongfully ConvictedThe Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLA game you can tell the creators took their time and thought about this from beginning to end. From the second you enter the front door until you’re parked in your car at home, you think and feel this room. Game master Andrew is a gem and peach, would love for him to run our future games at this location. The only downside I would say is prior to the game, I wish the clue system was explained a little better. Otherwise can’t wait for the other two rooms and the new rooms coming! A must play for anyone who just enjoys an immersive experience and an overall great game. Kudos escape revolution!
Mafia60Out - MelroseEscape roomIRLFor the first time- 60Out provided a game that was so under par, I’m tempted to call them and ask for money back. There were multiple issues with the room, starting with their ac system being broken and the room being VERY hot. Throughout the room, there were so many issues it was hard to even know what was happening. With the gun, jukebox, bar, chairs, switches all being broken - our team was left for dead. It was actually the worst 60Out experience I’ve had and I have done almost all they have to offer. I can see the potential that this room could have, but it definitely did not deliver. This room needed a lot of upkeep and it seemed that 60Out staff were a bit underwater with this day. I wish I could give this room a great review, but this room just does not meet the standard for the cost. :(
Cyberpunk SamuraiMaze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLOverall, the game started when our game-master never showed up (I hope the are fine) but our game got going 30 minutes late. Throughout, the puzzles were not the most challenging and I would say 2 or 3 people would be the max I would do this room with- otherwise it gets crowded quite easily. There are better rooms out there, but I would give it to them for the later part of the game is quite cool and the puzzles and atmosphere are better. The first parts need a little revamping. My Rating: 4/10
Spy DogsMaze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLThe most “fine” game you can find. The game flow is a little bit hard to follow and some of the puzzles are extremely easy. I would recommend this game for some non-experienced players or kids. I have to give props for trying something different! Pepper is also a gem - we love Pepper!
