7 Deadly SinsEscapology - PasadenaEscape roomIRLThis is my favorite room I have done thus far by Escapology! The room is really interesting, fun and has a very satisfying ending. The game flowed well and followed the story. We did need a few nudges and hints to point us in the right direction for some of the puzzles, but overall everything made sense which is great! Our game masters were really helpful and attentive inside and outside of the room. Clues were delivered in a timely manner which we appreciated! We were able to escape just before the time was up. Definitely recommend this room to players with a few rooms under their belts as it isn’t the easiest.
Belly of the Beast [Chapter 1]Enchanted Escape Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLChecked out the room at their new North Hollywood location and it was a fun room! The puzzles flowed well and there were some unique aspects. I’d definitely recommend it for a smaller group of enthusiasts (2-4 people max) as most of it is linear and portions are very tight to fit more than 4! Game masters are awesome and are definitely enthusiasts themselves which is always a plus!
Inksidious - CLOSEDEscape Room 66 - Los AngelesEscape roomIRLFirst and foremost, absolutely loved this room. Imagine a first generation room (no glitchy high tech locks) but that’s more modern and bam- you have this room! I loved the design of the room and the game flow. Puzzles were challenging yet doable although we did need a few nudges to point us in the right direction. Would recommend this one as it was created by an enthusiast (who is also a great game master) and definitely provides! Also, unrelated to the game, but the lobby of this place is heaven for Tower of Terror fans with ride artwork!
One Way Ticket - CLOSEDMaze Rooms - HollywoodEscape roomIRLThis room has been on my radar for quite some time! Although it has been a few years since I’ve heard about it and it’s an older room it is still very fun! I love the train theme and the linear gameplay. The set was nicely themed although there was some minor wear and tear (which happens) but it didn’t take away from the experience. Puzzles were fun, it’s definitely a great first room for players and good for families.
The Fun HouseCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThis was such a fun room! It was silly, whimsical and had a good challenge! Hope whatever comes next will be equally as fun as the Fun House!
Cyberpunk SamuraiMaze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLThis room was a ton of fun and had never done a theme like it. Maze Rooms always has beautiful set design and this room was stunning. Puzzles were challenging but not hard. Lots of fun high tech features made this room interesting and extremely immersive!
The Wizard's Apprentice - CLOSEDAmazing Escape Room - Green BrookEscape roomIRLFor 2 players, I’d say this was a challenging room. We had to ask for a lot of hints! Definitely ideal for a group of 4 as there’s a lot to accomplish!
Lost in SpaceAmazing Escape Room - Montclair/BloomfieldEscape roomIRLThis was a challenging room but it was a ton of fun!
Vegas HangoverEscapology - HolmdelEscape roomIRLFirst room themed to a Vegas hangover! Pretty cool concept. A really challenging room, possibly the hardest Escapology room I’ve done. Don’t be afraid to ask for hints, we did frequently! We almost escaped. Got stumped on quite a few things but with a bit of guidance we figured out what we needed to do. Overall, book this room once you have some escape rooms under your belt and you’ll have a great time regardless you win or lose!
The Smurfs60Out - HHLAEscape roomIRLThis is a fun room for all ages. Puzzles are straight forward and the storyline is cute! Looking forward to checking out the other rooms at this location as well.
Noir Episode 2Deadline Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLEnjoyed Episode 1 so had to come back for 2! Same main room is used and we finally got to check out the door we couldn’t access in Episode 1. Enjoyed the puzzles in this one, feel like this one is catered more to those who have done multiple rooms in the past! Definitely check it out!
Noir Episode 1Deadline Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFun puzzles in a really well themed room! Made it out just in time with 2 of us. Highly recommend!
Lost CityEscapology - HolmdelEscape roomIRLThis was a cool room but some of the puzzles were hard to follow. Needed some nudges from the GM but overall it was fun.
AvalancheMaze Rooms - Robertson BlvdEscape roomIRLThis room’s theme was awesome. No spoilers but my jaw dropped at one point. Absolutely fun and loved the set design!
Wicked Witch60Out - Silver LakeEscape roomIRLBetter than the former Hero room for sure, but still a very small space. Would recommend 2-3 players to play. It’s not the best 60Out room by any means, but give it a play. If you’re torn between rooms at this location, Houdini or Hyde Circus are your best bet!
Tiki Treasure BoatAmazing Escape Room - EdisonEscape roomIRLThis room exceeded my expectations. Theme was very fun and very linear puzzles. No locks, all tech. Really enjoyed the boat portion of the room- no spoilers but we laughed a lot! Everything was straight to the point. We escaped with over 17 minutes to spare!
Candy WorldAmazing Escape Room - EdisonEscape roomIRLFor a room themed to candy, you’d think this would be a simple game for kids. It’s definitely a challenge! Lots of tricky puzzles so get a larger group to divide and conquer! Wouldn’t recommend for just kids as it’s hard!
Lab RatHatch EscapesEscape roomIRLFinally got to play this room and the set design was INCREDIBLE. Definitely one of my most sought after rooms. Loved the game flow and the storyline was unique. Puzzles were fun and interesting. Good mixture of physical puzzles and ones with combo locks. Definitely not super high tech and no glitches which is always a plus when everything works out. Clue system was hysterical. Played with 2 players who have done some rooms prior and 2 newbies. Our game master said it was a hard room and I would definitely agree. We did manage to escape with about 6 minutes to spare. I would highly recommend it to groups of 4-6 players!
Armored Vehicle HeistThe Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLThe set design of this room was spot on. In a garage with an armored vehicle that was there for the group to break in to. The ending was pretty anticlimactic in my opinion, but I can see this room being fun for a group outing.
