Da Vinci's Secret60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLThis was so fun! It was perfect for 4 people and they allowed us to take my sister + brother-in law’s newborn (in a carrier!). The pacing and flow was so great; the puzzles were interesting and so fun; the ambiance was awesome! I think <2 people would be too difficult for some teams. The GM was great and watching from another room, they were super helpful and allowed us to solve the puzzle on our own with the perfect amount of nudge. Overall, amazing game and we had a really great time!
Here, Kitty KittyEscape Room LAEscape roomIRLNot doable for just two people (who are experienced). There was an overload of puzzles that required more hands to get through in a timely manner. I wish we asked the game master to help us when we were losing time. The game master sits in the room with you in a chair by the way, which, if it’s not something you’re comfortable with then I wouldn’t recommend this company because it seems most of their games operate this way. They’re “minding their own business” but we would prefer to have an experience where the GM is in a separate room, personally speaking. But that’s just preference. The actual game was fun and I liked the pacing and the puzzles were well thought out and fun to solve. But yeah, for two people you might find it much more challenging.
Return of the PharaohsParagon Escape GamesEscape roomIRLWhat an awesome room! I really loved it. The puzzles were so fun and the set was SO immersive. Definitely recommend closed toe shoes
A Pirate's CurseEscapology - TempeEscape roomIRLOverall, a really fun room! I liked the puzzles, they were enough to give you a pause to think through properly and nothing was too challenging. I’d rate it a 6/10 on the difficulty scale!
Mogollon Monster: Scouting for Arizona's BigfootThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLSuch a cool room! Very well done and the design of the set was so immersive. A little spooky but it was super fun!
Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLSweet suffering Jesus, I think I left half my brain back in that escape room. Recommend taking a B12 vitamin for your brain beforehand because girl, you’re gonna need it. I almost took out my phone to schedule a vitamin injection with a medspa. I played with 3 people total and strongly recommend more if it’s your first time or even your 23rd+ like mine. The puzzles are not as conventional as you think, so thinking outside the box; keeping a very open mind AND being aware will make the difference. Being in this room almost sent me to an early grave in the best way possible; I felt challenged and motivated but also felt like giving up because there’s a lot but it is not impossible. It’s absolutely worth seeing it through to the end. Well done to the cast, crew, construction, staff - everyone!
Whatever Happened To The Garretts?Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLThe atmosphere and the production value was my favorite thing about this room. The puzzles were good, not my favorite that I’ve played but still worth visiting if you’re looking for a light challenge. I recommend patience and focus on the last room, but it was a great experience.
Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLWOW this made my top favorite escape room of all time. The interaction with the live actor was so much fun and not at all scary, just spooky and cool. I loved this with every part of my being - dramatic review but just being honest! I thought the puzzles were well done and thorough. Some puzzles you may not see being solved by another group but there’s a part where it brings the group together and tracking the story (which is my favorite part of any room: the story). It was engaging and fun and so satisfying by the end. Highly, highly recommend for any big groups!
The Nest [Immersive Theatre]Hatch EscapesEscape roomOther It was truly more of a sentimental experience than anything. Don’t try to focus on the time you have left or the puzzles while listening to the tapes, this is meant to walk you through the story of this woman’s life and it was done so beautifully and intimately. The story from the tapes is the most rewarding and memorable thing you’ll get out of this experience. It’s a bit spooky atmosphere but nothing scary and nothing will jump out at you. Honestly, I cried a lot. I needed more tissues. It was really memorable.
Lab RatHatch EscapesEscape roomIRLThis was just plain FUN. I was laughing the whole time at the comedy of it all; it’s not corny it’s like the clever type of humor adults will get a kick out of. The puzzles were interesting and had some really fun elements that left me wanting more. The story is funny and the production was so fun and engaging. I really loved this!
Henchmen’s HeistThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLThis was too fun and the interaction with the GM made it even more hilarious. I love goofy rooms like this and I thought it was so great to play with kids too!
Recon: The Final HourParanoia Quest - TempeEscape roomIRLThe jumpscares freaked me out (I’m not a big scary escape room player…) but they were very well-timed and the GM was awesome! Was really excited to check this one out and expectations were met 🤩
The Cell BlockGilbert Escape Rooms - CluemasterEscape roomIRLWent for Witching Hour but ended up doing Cell Block because there were technical difficulties so they offered a different one and we opted for Cell Block! It was super fun, we played it on Expert level and escaped.
Sal's CyberneticsThe Immersive MachineEscape roomIRLSo so so fun! I loved the experience, it was awesome! The game maker was also so welcoming and fun to interact with. Definitely recommend!
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - Phoenix SantanEscape roomIRLGirl - out of all do the rooms I’ve done, this is the only one I somehow did not escape out of?? (Give me a break - we were with a large group who didn’t have experience with escape rooms) but it was fun and the immersion was great
