KatrinaElements Escape Rooms [prev. Kenopsia Games]Escape roomIRLConsensus #2 of our 17-room Europe trip and definitely a top TERPECA contender. The best actor performances we've seen, and the final set genuinely made us go wow. Hints were well-judged - only given when we truly needed them. Heads-up: come prepared to drink real alcohol lol.
Еl Secreto de Jaipur [The Secret of Jaipur]Kadabra Escape RoomEscape roomIRLA big step up from Poison next door - clever puzzles, great humor and audio, and strong set design. We started at 11pm right after doing Poison and it was absolutely worth staying late for.
PoisonKadabra Escape RoomEscape roomIRLFun villain-themed room with a smooth puzzle flow - we got out with 4 minutes to spare. If you're at Kadabra, pair it with El Secreto de Jaipur next door.
La TabernaThe City Escape Room By ExperiencityEscape roomIRLWow. What an awesome set. So many different impressive environments, very clever character interactions and many components that I've never seen before. The puzzles were interesting as well and not too difficult. So much fun - live actors (our pirate was hilarious), puzzles we'd never seen anywhere else, and a genuinely impressive final room. A touch dated next to the newest generation of rooms, and the actors were slightly overzealous with hints as we were always a bit strapped for time. You will probably get a bit wet!
Cybercity 2049Escape Barcelona 2 3Escape roomIRLWell done cyberpunk aesthetic. The puzzles need to match the narrative better though: doing the hard thing should feel hard, not arbitrary. And please don't run two four-character codes at the same time with overlapping hints - it gets very confusing about which hint belongs to which code.
LondiumLondium Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThe best room of our 17-room Europe trip - unanimous #1 in our group. Family-built over two years and it shows: gorgeous, coherent, large sets packed with detail. Our only note: slightly fewer unprompted hints would have made it perfect. TERPECA-caliber.
Jurásico [Jurassic]Golden PopEscape roomIRLBig, physical, cinematic production - you'll get properly muddy, so dress for it. Loved the spectacle. One gripe: hints come over a PA system that's hard to understand, which cost us momentum a few times.
La Cerveseria [The Brewery]EnigmikEscape roomIRLTheme and decor are OK, and brewing your own beer is a fun premise. The puzzles were a bit too hard for us - probably a skill issue on our end though. We escaped right at the buzzer.
K.O.N.G. ProtocolEscape Barcelona 2 3Escape roomIRLHappy we requested no jump-scares ahead of time, as there's no front desk to do so there. Truly immersive, incredible set design, unique branching narrative, and excellent actor interactions. The puzzles I would say are more communication and coordination than logic, which makes sense for a room with a jump scare mode.
NW6 BunkerEnigmikEscape roomIRLA puzzle lover's room - the puzzles are original and unique, and the difficulty felt fair throughout. It shows its age in decor but not in design. The oldest room in Catalonia and still worth it.
Le Grand Hôtel De ParisThe One EscapeEscape roomIRLThe scariest thing either of us has ever done - relentless, well-crafted horror with great sets. As an escape room it's thinner: fear makes you slower at solving, and much of it plays out in the dark, so go for the horror, not the puzzles. Two of our group of four refused to even enter, for good reason.
Le Magicien De Paris [The Magician Of Paris]Deep InsideEscape roomIRLThe puzzles flowed smoothly, the set transformations feel like actual magic, and it had some of the most unique actor interactions we have ever seen - the live finale had us giggling with delight. We escaped in about an hour with zero hints; the difficulty is perfectly tuned. No time limit; it's about story and experience, and it nails both.
name Sur Les Traces Du Docteur Stone [Following in the footsteps of Doctor Stone]Sk-padEscape roomIRLI realized after this room that escape rooms can be so much more creative with height! The sets in this room were insanely original, the effects and ideas were super fun. One member of our team was not so agile, but the creator was very helpful in supporting them through the process while ensuring they were able to push their comfort zone and do things they didn't think they could. The puzzles were a bit difficult to piece together sometimes so we needed hinting, the radio had too poor connection so , but the radio was helpful for that (albeit with a bit poor connection), then the creator came in - we were behind on time so he was a bit overzealous giving hints, I wish they added half an hour to each room to give each team the opportunity to fully struggle through it.
Alpha DistrictEscape Time Le MansEscape roomIRLIt's a corporate room, but a very well done one - huge scale, strong set pieces, and lots of physical interaction. Worth the trip out to Le Mans.

El BúnkerTime House Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis game is a particularly polished gen 1 kind of game, where little is extraneous. There really is an extra emphasis on searching hard, and using all the resources given to you. There was two times there were ambiguous connections that frustrated me since it was clearly vague, but it sounds at least one of those should be fixed now.
Area 11Area 11 Escape Room MedellínEscape roomIRLThis room had a nice set, but it was a terrible and unmotivated room where instructions were given by a TV and you just follow them. There were some scary sounds and darkness, but that felt like cheap diversion to make it "harder". Overall the puzzles felt very poorly designed and the TV just said to connect clues X and Y, almost all of which were simple number symbol codes. Purportedly they used to have some kind of 14 room thing, but that no longer exists and it's now just a much smaller, completely unconnected 3 room experience with 3 different themes, and a 4 room experience we didn't want to bother trying. Immersive sets, but very poor execution.
La Tumba Del FaraónRompecabezas Escape Room MedellinEscape roomIRLThis room had great, homemade original decorations. There was 2 puzzles in this room that I had never seen before. We were able to skip a puzzle and still complete the room which made us pretty proud. One thing is that they are very overeager with hints due to their median experience, so you have to very explicitly say to not get any hints, and if they do give, then don't look at the screen (I think we were maybe the first group to get out with no hints though). It was built in the last year so has a good amount of technology -- while it has a few classic padlocks, I wouldn't call it a gen 1 room. It was great for English speakers as well.
Chapter 3: The MorgueOff The Couch GamesEscape roomIRLI loved the creativity in this room -- the set, the unusual style of puzzles, the non-mainroom structure, the narrative, and the cashback structure. I enjoyed the high parallelism -- 6 people was a great number for this room.
The Sorcerer's SecretCrypto Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally insane animatronics, straightforward puzzles, a fun story, and a great magical vibe.
