“An outstanding experience from start to finish. Wonderful decoration and theming throughout the room. There was a great mix of puzzles in terms of difficulty level and type, and we each got turns to feel a little slow or a bit smug. Our GM was as wonderful as last time we visited and was so kind and accommodating in helping us arrange a future visit with their special guest. We’d highly recommend this room and can’t wait to return.”

“Did this with our two kids 5&8, got right to the last minute but managed to escape with everything collected! Was so much fun, great puzzles, great interaction and the room itself is high quality, the kids loved getting involved and could help with a few of the puzzles as well as doing the collecting! Loved it and definitely recommend”

“So we’ve done this room twice! We didn’t get all the happily ever afters the first time! And we were determined to finish it. The puzzles are great. Lots to get through. Nice theming and quite a lot of difficulty in a few of the puzzles. I’d say working as a team of 3 or more would make it easier to complete all. We did as a two.”

“Be aware there is now a 'mild' version for 12+ which we just did. Have loved enigma rooms games at Wakefield and this room is excellent. We have done lots of rooms as a family and took our 15 year old along and after the initial nervously (great atmosphere building!) she enjoyed the room. Excellent hosting and we might brave the 18+ version with the live actor in the future. Highly recommend to all, and loved the good balance of horror!”

“Thanks to Sam, great host. We loved the room, escaped in 51 minutes could have been quicker if we hadn’t of made silly errors and took longer over a couple of puzzles. The puzzles are a mixture of very hard to some being straight forward if you have the eye for spotting! Really enjoyed it, great links and great content.”

Armed with nothing but your wits you embark on a bizzare escapade where every wrong turn leads to another hilarious hijink. With Don Banano hot on your trail and the clock ticking like a time bomb made of rubber chickens, you must channel your inner circus clown and save the day before the big top comes crashing down. “An absolutely beautiful room, so so immersive with a fantastic GM. The gameplay and puzzles flowed so well. Usually if we find a room easy, we get out with lots of time to spare but that wasn’t the case in this room as there’s lots to do. Would 100% recommend, for both beginners and experienced players.”

We’re pitching for a new memory implant contract, and it’s a biggie, hopefully we might make some money if we bag this one! As part of the tender process, we have to put forward a quick, fearless, resilient and intelligent team. We didn’t know anyone off the top of our head, so we’ve dusted off an old asssessment system we used to use back in the 80’s. The system is a bit different to our experiments in that there’s probably more than a team could possibly do, but all puzzles are worth points, and the team with the highest score at the end of the hour will be crowned the best of the best! Assemble your best team mates and get ready for a frantic hour of solving puzzles; you have 60 minutes to score as many points as possible!

“We managed about 70% of the puzzles! So need to return! We scored 95,000 as we were slow on some puzzles. We need to return as loved it!!! Very overwhelming at first but then once you’ve cracked a few and worked out the tech side, it flows so well. We are itching to get back and complete it all!”

For years there have been whispers of a top-secret facility hidden somewhere in the English countryside, where inhumane experiments have taken place on animals and humans alike. There have been all sorts of rumours about cloning, sinister hybrid species and mutants created by evil scientists. But that is all they have ever been. Just rumours. Are you brave enough to enter Clearsafe? With live actors, jump scares, special effects and a series of multi rooms to complete, Clearsafe is a whole new experience. Designed to suit your group, you choose the level of theatre in your room from mild interaction and thrills suitable for the whole family through to full on jump scares that tests the fear factor.

“This is an awesome game. It’s highly rated for a reason and it more than matched our expectations which doesn’t always happen. The GM was so invested and we got full value with lots of screams and fun with these perfectly themed puzzles which were actually really good, way better than most ’horror’ themed rooms. Really enjoyed, great people, if you want a bit of a scare without being stupid really recommend this one”

How Do Escape Rooms Work?

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
