“We did all three rooms at Nexus in one go and out of all three, this one was my third fave. That being said, its still an excellent room with some challenging puzzles and wonderful set design. The story itself wasnt the strongest, but escaping was fun, engaging, non linear and kept all four of us busy at all times. I think Nexus is the best escape room company in Miami and all their rooms are worth doing!”

“Did this room right after Polly , was a pretty fun room too. Definitely do this room with scaredy cats, it makes the room more fun. Also, the game is more fun when you interact with the story, so don't be shy to mess around too. Easy room for enthusiasts, but will suggest to do it anyways for a good laugh.”

“Definitely only go into this room with a group you're comfortable with and if you aren't easily embarrassed by lots of sexuality and innuendo! With that said, this room was by far the most unique and ridiculous one my husband and I have ever encountered. So many of the puzzles had us cracking up while also being so impressed by how the theme was incorporated so well and so creatively. There were a TON of combination locks and it was just a single room, but overall, just a memorable experience!”

“High Speed NYC is a great room. It very easily immerses you into the story with the great room design. The puzzles were logical and had a nice flow. This is definitely one of the better (if not the best) room we have played in the Miami area) This room (along with The Mission) are not that difficult for more experienced players, but still a great time. We got out after 36 minutes…”

“There was a lovely, amiable dog that requested to be petted…Best welcome to an escape room company The room was well-designed as it had a submarine-like feel. I felt the puzzles flowed. The 3 of us enjoyed ourselves. Our friend had a very memorable introduction to escape rooms. Thank you”

“This was a fun, light-hearted room that flowed well. It would be fun to go with kids because of the theme, but it might be hard for them to solve the puzzles on their own. I did it with two teens and they had lots of fun!”

“This room is very high quality! Some of the puzzles are quite unique and the props are amazing! There is a very unexpected part of the room to discover. I liked this room a lot, it’s worth the price! We did it with only 2 persons and 17m left on the clock, enjoying every minute!”

“Another great room from The Escape Game. Two of us completed the room with about five minutes to spare. We liked the puzzles starting with the video-game style opener. One minor malfunction slowed us slightly, and a couple of puzzles seemed to go on too long after we figured them out. Especially with two people, a couple of these took a lot of back and forth, when it would have gone faster with more hands. Minor drawbacks to an otherwise great room.”

“Two of us (experienced) played with two strangers who also had some experience. This is a new game, and it looked it! Sharp digital displays and technological puzzles help you feel immersed in the storyline. There were some cool puzzle mechanics I had not seen before. Another strong room from The Escape Game!”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
