“Fun video game themed room with an abundance of well-varied puzzles. I felt like each room was a different video game style which was pretty cool. There was one room that will really test your physical abilities. Make sure you stop for a second and read the information in the room before diving headfirst into it, because there is a fail condition for the puzzle you are supposed to solve (don’t worry if you fail there’s a different puzzle, but the 1st one is way cooler). I think 3 people is the perfect amount for this room. You could do it with 2 as well. This room isn’t a must play but I strongly recommend it.”

“An excellent game with a fully fleshed out story, faultless set pieces and props and many tasks/puzzles that give great solving gratification. If you can only play a couple of games at this location, you really can't go wrong with this one.”

“I normally hate rooms that are played in the dark but this one was so good! I didnt get frustrated at all. For me, this is my favorite game at this company for the flow. I truly LOVED this room. Will need good communication with whomever you go with which will make the experience flawless.”

“A delightful game infused with a sense of whimsy and Escape Venture's signature humor. I know this room gets the least amount of love of all their offerings at this location but if this is their "least good" room then they are still miles above SO many other companies. Great set design and atmospherics, intuitive and often fun puzzles, and a few surprise touches that elevated it above a standard xmas room. If you, like me, love a fun lighthearded colorful theme, give this one a shot!”

“Every room these guys do is fantastic and this one is no exception. The theme is fun (albeit less immersive than some of their other rooms) and the puzzles are well thought-out. There was one puzzle that was a little finicky (we knew what to do, it just wasn't happening) but that's my only real complaint. We did this room with two people and had about 20 minutes left to go when we finished. If you've done a lot of rooms, you may find this one a bit on the easier side (we didn't need any hints which is pretty rare for us) but still absolutely worth a go. There will be some physical activity in this room!”

“Neighborhood watcher is a very immersive game where the actor plays an important part. Where at first we were happy to go to a sleepover, things took a rather chilling turn after a while... The riddles are fun, the decoration is nostalgic (in a good way!) and we had a blast!”

“A really amazing game. Huge diversity of puzzles, with some really imaginative ones. The set is incredibly immersive. Several legitimate jump scares (which I enjoyed!). As usual with Escape Ventures games, the kindness and professionalism of the staff helped to make it a wonderful experience. In my top 5 of all time.”

“I loved this room! We took my parents here for their first escape room and we all had a blast. I didn't find it super challenging but it was very fun and interactive. I really have no notes, I just had a good time. The atmosphere and decor were great, the puzzles were fun, and non linear which I love.”

“Fun game with a spooky feeling. Our game host (Christine) was great! A nice mix of traditional and mechanical locks. Clues and puzzles all make sense! Parking is street or paid garage, so arrive extra early.”

“This was our first room here. We were very impressed by the high-caliber theming and decor in both the room and the lobby/common areas. The common areas have a modern design aesthetic very different from the steampunky vibe at most places. The room itself had fantastic decor, theming and props. Completely immersive. Special effects were impressive. A few jump scares which we loved but some people might not like. This is a linear room and story and challenges were well integrated. A few new things we'd never seen before. Very high tech and only a couple of locks. Highly recommend. Can't wait to try more rooms here.”

Orlando bursts with magic, mystery, and the best kind of mayhem. This star of the Sunshine State packs an insane amount of awesome in one area. Academics and fans of college athletics will know Orlando for the massive University of Central Florida. The football stadium (nicknamed the Bounce House) is home to the UCF Knights, who became NCAA National Champions in 2017. Orlando and surrounding areas are home to multiple major theme parks, each with unique attractions that make them worth a vacation on their own. You can be enchanted at Walt Disney World Resort, turn into a wizard at Universal Orlando Resort, meet marine life at SeaWorld Orlando, swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove, and build your imagination at Legoland Florida. It’s no wonder the escape rooms in Orlando are just as bombastic as its other attractions. Over a hundred escape rooms span the Orlando area, with countless incredible reviews and challenges ready to stump and surprise the most seasoned escape artist. From military missions to fantastical science fiction fantasies, Orlando has plenty of puzzles ready to be solved by curious minds.
The Great Escape Room was the first live escape experience opened in Orlando. However, it was far from the last. The Great Escape Room became a chain of escape rooms, and in the years since their initial opening in 2014, over a hundred live escape experiences have opened in the area. In the heart of America’s theme park capital, it’s only natural that the escape rooms in the area excel at incorporating unique themes. Many escape rooms have pivoted from the traditional “unlock the door” format to more collaborative takes on puzzle-solving.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
