Cornstalkers: Lost in the Maize
  • Escape room
  • IRL

This game offers the same expansive surprises of TEV’s Arctic Storm, with the intimate helplessness you feel in a good HHN house.. The opening scene gave our group some enjoyable camp spookiness before moving onto the main event which scared the pants off of us. Intelligent puzzle design with lots of activities for people to do simultaneously towards common goals. The amount of work your game master has to pull off during your experience cannot be stressed enough. If TEV is reading this, please give Giggles the Clown his own room!

Neighborhood watcher is a very immersive game where the actor plays an important part. Where at first we were happy to go to a sleepover, things took a rather chilling turn after a while... The riddles are fun, the decoration is nostalgic (in a good way!) and we had a blast!

This room was a blast! It was my favorite of all their rooms at this location. I loved the theme, which was a very unique one amongst escape rooms. The puzzles were fun and challenging and plentiful. And the set design and size of the room was above and beyond. I really enjoyed it all from start to finish. Definitely a must do if you’re in the area! I’m a little surprised this isn’t an hour room. We finished in under an hour and we weren’t trying to rush and also spun our wheels for a considerable amount of time on one puzzle that we didn’t want help on. I’d call it Medium difficulty, not the Hard Morty lists it as, especially if you have 90 minutes to solve it.

Of the 3 rooms our team of 3 did at this location, this one gave us the most trouble. We found ourselves down the wrong tracks few times and needed hints for things we missed. Had some cool puzzle elements, definitely a great theme and fun experience, but we preferred cornstalkers and the arctic adventure at this location, the former for the experience and the latter for the puzzle flow and theming.

Amazing room!! You need GREAT communication with your teammates! And yes no more than 3 room space is limited!! Yes it’s dark and you can ask for “black light” but if you have great communication you would not need it!

A delightful game infused with a sense of whimsy and Escape Venture's signature humor. I know this room gets the least amount of love of all their offerings at this location but if this is their "least good" room then they are still miles above SO many other companies. Great set design and atmospherics, intuitive and often fun puzzles, and a few surprise touches that elevated it above a standard xmas room. If you, like me, love a fun lighthearded colorful theme, give this one a shot!

After 36 escape rooms this year alone, it takes a lot to surprise our group — and Dream absolutely did. This is an easy S-tier room for us and currently sits at #7 out of the 36 rooms we’ve played this year. The concept is already fun and unique, but the real standout is the imagination behind the design. Every time a new space opened up, there was another “okay WAIT, this is so cool” moment. The room constantly evolves in creative ways, and the progression through the space felt incredibly satisfying. What Dream does really well is balance. The gameplay flow was smooth and mostly linear without ever feeling restrictive, and the puzzle variety was excellent. There were big theatrical moments mixed with smaller “aha!” solves, and even the way keys/mechanisms were incorporated felt fresh. One section even allowed two different paths to reach the same outcome, which was such a cool touch for teamwork. This room isn’t super high-tech, but it genuinely doesn’t need to be. The immersion comes from strong design, creativity, and great pacing rather than flashy effects. We played with 3 people, escaped with 25 minutes left, and used 2 hints. I’d rate the difficulty around a 7/10 — probably best for medium-to-experienced players. Overall, Dream feels like a room made by people who really understand what makes escape rooms fun: creative, well-paced, surprising, and consistently engaging from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I had no idea what we were doing as our friend book this. Let me tell you something… this has become one of my favorite rooms. Some great jump scares, no scare actors but great special effects. Yes will need more than 2 people to complete some of the puzzle. I was impressed with the theme and how the room interact with you. Did I scream more than once? YES, but I enjoy it!

We did much better in this room than the other one (President poker). While some of the effect where not fully working we had a good experience! I think they puzzle here we were able to manage them and the room flow felt better. It’s a nice date night! But they need more people to work here and not 1 person!

Fantastic room. Theme was in point, fun immersion, variety of puzzles and tasks, good story, flow was really solid Spooky vibes but by no means scary. Is this a difficult room? No but it’s also not complex one. There is a nice pace and this is a perfect room to do with new players, younger players or tackle as a couple Emmi was our GM and was wonderful Tidbits: Great location Challenging parking Great spot to make a day or night of it with ample night life, shopping and food options Rebooking discount All rooms here are amazing

Learn More about Orlando Escape Rooms

The Great Escape Room was the first live escape experience opened in Orlando. However, it was far from the last. The Great Escape Room became a chain of escape rooms, and in the years since their initial opening in 2014, over a hundred live escape experiences have opened in the area. In the heart of America’s theme park capital, it’s only natural that the escape rooms in the area excel at incorporating unique themes. Many escape rooms have pivoted from the traditional “unlock the door” format to more collaborative takes on puzzle-solving.

How Do Escape Rooms Work?

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
