“A fun under the sea theme for this room. The tech was excellent for interaction! A good variety of puzzles to keep the whole group occupied. A note that even though this room is rated for 8 people, it gets extremely crowded with that many! Also they will book up all the spaces in these non private rooms!”

“This was one of my favorite rooms at the escape game. Only having three people added to the difficulty slightly but still a fun room. It’s definitely easier than some of their other rooms like the depths and prison break but still really fun. I would recommend any games TEG has to offer”

“In love with the decor! Such an incredible atmosphere with a ton of work put into it. It’s a little on the dark side for those with poor eyesight. Mostly high tech puzzles with a handful of manual locks. Definitely a hidden gem in the area”

“This is a great room, hidden gem! The set is fantastically done, there is a good mix of a few traditional locks and then some electronic puzzles. It’s clear the owners take pride in an immersive experience. Note this is not a scary room, so it’s fun for all ages! Minimum is 4 players. There are some challenging puzzles and is definitely a cerebral game in the beginning. Would recommend and will be trying their other room!”

Charlotte is a charming and upbeat city with a lot to offer in terms of entertainment and activities. Some of the things that make Charlotte fun include its beautiful natural setting, with its many parks and green spaces, its thriving arts and culture scene, its vibrant food and drink culture, and its many outdoor recreational opportunities. There are also many popular attractions in Charlotte, such as the Carolina Panthers football team, the Charlotte Hornets basketball team, and the U.S. National Whitewater Center. All of these things combine to make Charlotte a fun and exciting place to visit or live.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
