“We liked this room, and came back a year later for a different room that we didn’t love (Tobacco something). But I would try another room at this place. The Tobacco one relied on too much local information - Duke sports - that we had no knowledge of.”

“This business never lets me down. I absolutely loved this room. Was able to do this solo and man it had some unique puzzles. On one in particular, I needed a clue and once I figured it out, I could not believe it. Please go out of your way to experience this room.”

“The Castle of Loches room was such a fun experience! While it’s on the easier side, it’s perfect for smaller groups of 2–4 players who still want a challenge without feeling overwhelmed. The puzzles were interesting and well thought out, keeping us engaged the whole time. The medieval theme was brought to life beautifully, making the room immersive and enjoyable from start to finish. A great choice for both beginners and seasoned escape room fans looking for a lighter but still rewarding adventure!”

“There are a lot of puzzles to work through in here (I’d recommend a group of 4), but they’re all very fun. This was my first room in over 125 games that included a scent-based puzzle! Because this is a year-round room, the decor and technology was better than what you would typically find in other Christmas-themed rooms. A few of the locks were a little finicky, and the lighting might be a tad low for players with difficulty seeing, but overall, this is a great room.”

“People need to make sure they go out of their way and do these rooms. They will always make sure you have the best experience possible. This room did give me some trouble. Mainly because I was overthinking the easiest puzzles. A lot of the puzzles would make you think a ton. Which I loved.”

“7/10 A great room for 2-3 people. Some unique puzzles and interesting contraptions/mechanisms. I'm not a huge fan of puzzles that revolve around counting objects in a room, and Tar Heel continues their penchant for that here unfortunately. The theming here was certainly the best part, and most puzzles fit in better than previous experiences at Tar Heel/Bull City. Despite failing this one, I really did enjoy it. Had we asked for a hint faster or had an extra 5 minutes I think we would have completed it.”
