The room’s play style was extremely unique and I genuinely enjoyed every second that I was in there. All it takes is one mistake in the past for the entire future to fall apart…

“Great room! This was high-tech, immersive, and incredibly well done from start to finish. Unlike some rooms that only have a few unique moments, almost every puzzle in this room felt creative and original. They were so specific to the game that I do not think other rooms could copy them even if they tried. The high-tech aspect also really stood out and made the whole experience feel seamless and exciting. It was refreshing to find a room that sets itself apart from most other escape room businesses. Everyone in our group had a great time, and we would love to see more rooms like this.”

As night begins to creep in and the upcoming storm looms overhead, your path terminates at a rustic cabin in the wilderness..

“Great room with great puzzles. There are plenty of scare effects and freaky moments to keep you on your feet! There was one faulty piece of tech that had to be overridden by the game master. Unfortunately there was a bit of delay between us using the tech and receiving the intended clue. We spent a bit of time trying to find an alternate method of advancing, but was stuck. Issues aside, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would return again.”

With each step, the story of this cursed place unfolds, and with the ticking of the clock against you, the question remains: will you escape in time, or become the latest additions to the macabre collection of the Toy Maker?

Our story revolves around you, a group of children, really keen on circus performances. Unfortunately, last night one of your peers was kidnapped. As you were searching for evidence, you found a ticket cut out from a circus you've never heard before, “Wanderlust Circus, 1940”. Without second thoughts, you decided to seek your friend at the circus site and even though you managed to get inside, you realized you are trapped in a cursed circus. Shadows and dark figures appear on the walls creeping between the red and white stripes. I do not know how but, you have to be fast and find a way to get out before the clown returns.

“Love the theme of this room big-time. If horror is your genre this room is for you. Perfect amount of puzzles-to-experience for the hour. The game flowed well but we hit a few mild bumps along the way but it didn't deter from the room experience. Highly recommend. We finished with two people but 3-4 would be the perfect number.”

You are the most experienced “investigators of the supernatural”. Your team was approached by a mysterious man who offered you a huge amount of money, to get inside a specific Mansion and search for a powerful ancient Artifact. He artfully avoided informing you about all the previous investigators he had hired, that never came back...

“This was a fantastic room We had a chance to play most of their rooms in the area; still a handful to go, but this is my favorite by far. You can always count on Game Over for great immersion and decor in the room and this is no exception. Moody, not over the top in theming but what it has really brings the spookiness to life in delicious ways. What it also delivered was a really great story and flow to the puzzles and elements throughout the whole experience. The jump scares were also perfect in their connection to the story and flow of the game. Nothing gratuitous - everything made sense. The footprint to this experience is used very well. Although there is one good sized room that could have been used more ... don't want to say more to risk spoilers. Overall highly recommend this location and room; bring a group of 3-4 as the footprint can easily accommodate a small group easily. The GM was great on this one. Tidbits: GM's were great Great Mexican restaurant a few stores down from this one Parking was easy The room was dim which it needed to be but if you have old Gen X eyes like me there were elements that were a challenge to see (we needed prompting on a few things because we just couldn't see they were there) No pictures still in the room ... wish they would change the policy. There are ample non-spoiler spots. When you play all the rooms in a place, it's nice having a room memento and not just a poster-pic”

We could tell they really cared about escape rooms and worked hard to give us the best experience. The intro to the room was fun and exciting. Inside the room were a lot of different types of puzzles and you needed lots of techniques to solve them. There were some that I had never seen before which made it a ton of fun. Learn More about Tampa Escape Rooms

While Orlando remains the undisputed king of Florida escape rooms, Tampa is in its own right a true escape room destination. Since the first escape rooms arrived in the city, Tampa has crafted some of the very best immersive puzzle experiences in the southeast. In fact, the Tampa Bay area is home to over 20 different escape room venues, and that number is sure to rise in the future. Servants of Sleight at The Exit Games FL is an award-winning room that remains a strong favorite among even the most experienced of players. Scorched at Outerlife Studios goes all-in on its theme, transporting players out of the world. Game Over Tampa’s Money Heist is a deep experience that provides a thrill throughout its entire story. With nearly 100 escape games in the entire area, you’re sure to find the perfect game for you and your group.

How Do Escape Rooms Work?

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
